At last, Evy’s over-protective, hermit mother is letting her go somewhere – to the rodeo in town! She plans on having tons of fun doing something normal for a change. But as usual, adventures find her, this time in the form of an abused, drugged, and terrified mare who hates humans so much she refuses to trust even Evy. As Evy tries to help her, Twilight, her intrepid filly, is miles away and in danger. How can Evy save them both?
ANGELA DORSEY currently lives on Vancouver Island and is thoroughly enjoying the ocean breezes, awesome hiking, and lack of snow! In the past, she has lived in a number of small towns throughout B.C., and loved them all.
She loves hiking, traveling, and animals, and has a tendency to name her pets after things that remind her of her coastal home, such as Misty, Raven, and Cedar.
Angela writes novels, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has a number of literary publications (short stories, poems, and postcard stories) and articles published as well.
I didn’t care as much about the rodeo and abused horse plot line as much as the first two books. I like Evy having adventures in the bush more than the normal horse story activities of competing and such, even if this was purely just for fun. Also Evy and her mom argued more in this book which I wasn’t a huge fan of, though it was nice to see that even when they were at odds they still love and support each other no matter what.
Still good, just not my favorite in the series so far.

Really enjoying this series! But I need more all at once. I believe I'll have to get the bundle of books. Seeing as they are so good. I'd recommend these novels to all horse lovers.
