Totally lost me at inclusion of Golda Meir and Hilary Clinton. White feminism at it’s finest. Nothing admirable about a white woman climbing to the top and being responsible for the murder of hundreds of thousands of non-white women.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Murray is a good writer and gives you enough information to get to know and understand each of the women she writes about. Her personal anecdotes about each woman are enlightening and engaging. How each woman copes and overcomes the challenges presented to her personally and those challenges of her time, have created for me a new found respect for each of the women she profiles. We can learn a lot from the experiences of these women and others like them. Thank you.

Highly HIGHLY recommend A History of Britain in 21 Women. I haven’t had a chance to read the other 2 books in the series, but I absolutely loved this. Murray has a wonderful narrative voice, effortlessly interweaving history and storytelling.
