Kopumā labi ieteikumi un praktiski padomi bērnu audzināšanā. Bet kaut kā likās, ka grāmata ļoti vērsta uz viņu, ka viņa izmainīs dzīvi, daudzkārt to atkārto. Varbūt to radīja tas, ka lasīju pēc Mātes Terēzas grāmatas, kura pauda to, ka esam šai pasaulē nevis gūt panākumus, bet mīlēt viens otru.

Pros: There are a ton of great incredibly valuable tips for parenting and shepherding a child. As I was reading the book I began putting certain things into practice and I feel like we, as a family, are better for it. We all have things to learn and even if we do already know certain things it’s always helpful to be reminded and reassured. I have zero cons as far as the tips and strategies go. Easy to read and tons of scripture (which some have stated was a turn off but I appreciate and welcome it).
Cons: She sounds somewhat egotistical in her writing. Praising your kids is one thing, but she seems to take it a little past that. She makes comments sometimes that are slightly off putting, but the reality is that I’ve literally never read a book that didn’t have something that struck me as annoying. I’m an adult. I can look past it.
All in all, I would absolutely (and already have!!) recommend this book if you’re looking for some hardcore truth and wisdom.

This book was AWFUL!! It is a complete regurgitation of a typical self-help book. Dani talks a lot about herself in this book and it just gets annoying. Once you've heard the story-you get it. No need to hear it over and over and over. The way she speaks in this book is odd as well-I don't know how to explain it. If you have ever seen part of a live program of her speaking, you would probably be turned off. It's almost like she is possessed. If you can get this from your library-take a peek at it, but I do not recommend wasting your money to purchase it.

This started off promising but by about halfway through, I was powering through just so it would be over.
There were a lot of really good parenting principles in here. Most of them were things I already do or plan to do, though, so I didn't get much new out of the book unfortunately. It is admirable how the author overcame so much in her life, although the stories became very repetitive.
This book is very preachy. The author does multi-day motivational conferences to get people hyped to grow their businesses, and it shows. I felt like I was sitting in one of those presentations. She's good at what she does, but that is NOT my thing, so I was a little turned off. I also appreciate how much she values the Bible, but I felt like it was getting shoved down my throat, and the way they insert the Bible into EVERYTHING they teach their kids actually felt a bit extreme to me at times. I consider myself very religious and Christian, but I was getting annoyed by it. I can't imagine someone without any interest in the Bible making it through this book. I came away feeling like the Bible was the latest and greatest MLM.
Honestly, this is more of a 2 1/2 for me, but I rounded up to a 3 because there are valuable parenting principles for those who hadn't thought of them before.

I didn't read the whole book, just Ch 11 on Financial Responsibility for kids. I appreciate how she emphasized kids should be investing, which ironically Kiyosaki's book Rich Kid Smart Kid really didn't.

Good, practical methods. I will propably use some of them at my work, but more useful this book could be if you have your own kids to practice on them

Very practical applications for raising children in today's world to be strong, spiritually well-equipped leaders for tomorrow. Wish I had known some of these things raising my two now grown children. I know the skills she shares works as some of them I had implemented in raising my children and I, too, received compliments on their good behavior and their perspective of life even before they entered first grade.
I have already began implementing the new ideas I learned from Dani, as they have biblical principles as their basis which make them that more powerful in sharing their importance with children. Very recently I shared a few of these principles with my 14-year-old granddaughter who was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome at a young age. She was feeling challenged with a school problem and did not think her mom understood her. I learned from my daughter the very next day that my discussion with my granddaughter made an immediate impact. Note that my discussion with my granddaughter was over the phone as they live far from me. I intend to guide my five other grandchildren using Dani's methods for raising children to be successful.

Growing Children
Dani has some wonderful Biblical principles, and advice. I love her enthusiastic, encouraging, full of forgiveness spirit! The world needs more people who let go of there fears. Show Faith in Yahweh, just believe -if we ask G-d Yahweh he will give it to us- attitudes!
She has deep, thoughtful intentions, but she is more controlling than what I think she needs to be.
I believe you need to allow children to play with their toys while they are children.
We all grow up too fast to be adults for way too long of time.
Her plan of action to groom the next generation for success is right on target for growing disciplined children, and gaining their heart! It's a parents dream!

This is the first parenting book I have ever read, and I did like it. There are practical applications that I have already put into place, mostly with the tone I address my daughter in and how I address her. I have always been a level headed parent, but needed some guidance on follow through. There are a lot of scripture quotes in the book, but that didn't get in the way because each quote was there to forward a particular lesson.
I'm not planning to apply everything I read, but I would think this book would be a help to any parent. It is an easy read.

Excellent Practical Wisdom
I was on vacation with some time for self-reflection. My wife and I were searching for some pointers on shaping our kids as they get older. What we found in this book was a collection of gems. I really look forward to applying what I learned and referring back to example situations that are sprinkled throughout the book. There are a few editing and format mistakes in the book, but overall, the message is solid.

This is one of the worst parenting books that I have ever read. It's not so much that her ideas are so far out of the mainstream, though many are. It's mostly her attitude that got on my nerves. Her children are perfect, she is mother to be admired and emulated, and if you don't take her advice you are a fool. Seriously....ick.

Really helped me think of the big picture in raising our kids, not just to live moment to moment. I appreciated her sharing her background and how she came to some very hard lines that at first seem hard to swallow.

Good advice on many issues: however I would not implement everything she recommends. Dani is also a dynamic speaker.

I read this book but unfortunately it had nothing to do with me since I do not have children. However, if you did have children then this book might be useful to you.
