He opens and closes with a disclaimer about being a salesperson and not a writer. No kidding. It doesn’t take a writer to employ basic grammar or correct structural problems with a sentence - it takes attention to detail, of which this book has NONE. The general idea of a playbook is cool but poorly executed, and otherwise - I am questioning some of his info, and find that none was really new to me. I could have missed this one and I wouldn’t have missed anything.
I’ve heard Nathan speak twice and he is the best speaker out there when it comes to coaching. The principles and ideas here aren’t earth shattering but he delivers it in a fun, easy to grasp style and gives some great ideas on how you can better coach your team. It’s one of those books I plan on going back to often.
Incredible practical... I have a to do list of things to implement. A lot of common sense stuff but written in a way that motivates to get the ball rolling.
A great read for anyone in leadership, not just sales.
