This is the first volume in a series (I will pick the next one the next time I go to the library) about a teenager obsessed with baseball. This first volume is about the summer before entering middle school, when he goes to live to a new place and meets another student that will also be a member of the baseball team. It is all sport manga style (this is a novel, though), and the main character is obnoxious and too powerful in this first volume, but it is easy to read, and the world is interesting enough to keep reading and seeing the evolution of the characters.

The best: it is one of those reads where you just keep reading

The worst: the main character is annoying

Alternatives: "Slam Dunk", the best manga ever
