8 out of 10. Really entertaining, reminds me of a more modern and trashy Truman Capote!

I know thar I read this book years ago when it was first published. The short stories are somewhat dated, before the AIDS epidemic. However some of them still have a universality that is worth reading.

These stories about gay life in the early 1980's do not hold up well. They might have been considered novel back then; now they are flat and uninteresting.
