Watch the club princess, don’t touch her, then report back to the president of the Devil’s Dust MC.
But I have to step out of my place as a prospect to save the spoiled brat.
She thinks she’s cute, trying to tempt me to break her dad’s one rule.
What she doesn’t know is that I’ll throw her over my knee and spank the daddy issues from her until she’s looking nowhere but at me.
That’s the plan, until secrets emerge from our pasts that spark a ravenous surge of destruction and chaos, and have us both wondering where we stand in the final ride.

The Secrets That Find Us is book 4 in the Devil's Dust MC Legacy and unfortunately I didn't like it as much as I hoped I would. For starters Delilah is an idiot, she's childish, immature and compulsive. The story begins with her at 16 meeting a boy and making a huge mistake which leads to consequences she's too young to deal with. Fast forward to now she's 21 and still a compulsive spoiled brat who has been sheltered to the point that she thinks she's untouchable. Big Chief is a prospect who is tasked with finding where she was going and keeping an eye on her. Lucky for her that he was around because it's not too long that she is being attacked. I felt her relationship with Big Chief was ok, something was missing for me. Overall I'm disappointed in this book but I do plan to read the new series that's coming soon.
I’ve been on the edge of my seat in anticipation for Big Chief’s story! I’ve also been heavily anticipating Delilah’s story! My mind was shook when I first saw their two worlds may very possibly be combined into one. M.N. Forgy continues to amaze me with her MC romances! I simply can’t get enough. Each book is a new addiction for me.
In My Own Words:
The Secrets That Find Us is the fourth book in M.N. Forgy’s Devil’s Dust MC Legacy Series. If you are new to this author or haven’t had a chance to pick up the series yet, don’t fret, Delilah and Big Chief’s story can be read as a standalone.
Delilah craves independence, and that’s a feature hard to find when your father’s the president of one of the most notorious motorcycle club’s around. She never wanted to be the princess of an MC club. She never asked to be protected and that’s how at twenty one years old she finds herself sneaking away in the middle of the night in search of a life outside of the MC compound. So with two bags to her name she walks away carrying all of her secrets with her.
Big Chief, prospect of the Devil’s Dust MC, is sent on a mission. Go to Georgia and keep an eye on Delilah. Don’t interfer with Delilah’s life unless she needs help. Big Chief’s place in the club depends on this one mission. One stormy night changes the course of their lives forever. Being oblivious to this woman would make the task easier but his heart is telling his head to claim her. To hell with her daddy’s threats this time he’s listening to his heart and throwing caution to the wind. Delilah will be his, or he’ll die trying.
My Thoughts:
M.N. Forgy is one of my favs when it comes down to MC romances. She knows how to effortlessly balance out grit and swoon. I often find myself falling head over boots in love with these characters one moment, and then the very next I feel the need to grab a frying pan and smack it upside the anti-heroes head…. It’s usually an array of emotions and The Secrets That Find Us was exactly what I was hoping for.
First let’s start with Miss Delilah, our very own rebellious princess to the Devil’s dust MC. But don’t ever let her hear you call her a princess… this woman will go ape shit on you at the snap of a finger. She is Shadow’s daughter, after all. I loved her overall vibe. I loved her deep rooted need for independence. This woman wanted to find her own place in the world, she wanted to see if she could reach her dreams and make a name for herself outside of the MC compound. I loved her ambition and stubborn ways along with her don’t fuck with me attitude. Throughout her point of view, there’s an ominous vibe. She’s hiding something, something tragic happened to her and that’s a secret she’ll keep close to her chest. But you all know, secrets eventually have a way of being exposed. Usually I can sniff a secret out in a romance novel like a bloodhound… let’s just say it was fifty/fifty for me. I had the premise down but not the overall outcome. Which leads me to the main reasoning behind why I dropped a star rating. Half of the star went to Delilah’s backstory. I wanted more substance and maybe a few flashback moments leading to her decision. I wanted to feel the angst of the situation. I wanted to have to fight back tears when the secret was eventually exposed. I felt I didn’t get enough of a chance to conjure up the heartache that would have been if I were given an insight to her thoughts during those hard moments. So bottom line, I loved Delilah and her feisty, stubborn and overall rebellious personality but I needed a little more vulnerability from her to truly connect with her character.
Now onto Big Chief. Big Chief is a prospect to the Devil’s Dust MC, if you’re new to the MC world it basically means he’s interested in becoming a club member but must show he’s trustworthy and worthy of the club before being voted in as a full fledged member. Usually they have to perform a task to prove they’re in it for the long haul. In this case, Big Chief has been given the task, by the president of the motorcycle club (Shadow), to find and watch over his daughter. He can’t very well say no to the president so in his truck he rides off to secretly watch over the little devil. Throughout Big Chief’s point of view where given an insight at the mental war he suffers within. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenerio. He wants the loyalty and the family vibes that come with the club life, but he wants the one thing he can’t have even more… that being Delilah. He’s felt a bone deep attraction for this woman since he first stepped foot into the Devil’s lair… But her father has threatened any and all club members who dare cross that line time and time again. You know, if you dangle temptation in front of a man long enough, he’s going to eventually bite… and that’s exactly what Big Chief did… he took a bite out of temptation. I really enjoyed Big Chief. Having read the series, I was always intrigued by his character. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a smooth talking southern man… Sadly, I dropped a half star due to this fact alone, I wanted a little more of the southern swoon that I loved in the previous books. I wanted more of that southern swoon on the streets and a little more alphamale between the sheets.
Overall, I enjoyed The Secrets That Find Us and the whole Devil’s Dust MC Legacy series. There was never a dull moment. If you’re a lover of the MC world, don’t hesitate and pick up this series. I also want to end on another note and state, once again, I loved Big Chief…. But Bull will always and continues to be my number one alpha badass!!
Guard the President’s daughter, Delilah….should be an easy task, right? Well, for prospect Big Chief that might be more than he can handle without getting in trouble. She is the princess of the Devils Dust MC and has always been sheltered with many “biker uncles” to watch out for her. When she gets a job offer detailing bikes in Georgia she jumps at the chance to finally get away from the club and their watchful eyes. That doesn’t sit well with her dad, Shadow, and he sends his prospect to spy on what she’s doing. Can Big Chief stay on task or will being close to Delilah away from the club turn into something more. What a wild ride this one is! I loved seeing all the boys back from the MC and the start of the new MC that’s coming. Delilah is a mini Shadow with her sass and Big Chief is just what we were waiting for. A great addition to this series, full of suspense and action with a few surprises thrown in too. Told in dual POV

The Devils Dust MC is one that is near and dear to my heart having been the first MC series that I devoured. Delilah and Big Chief's story couldn't have been any better than it was. Delilah was always strong willed and being the MC princess only felt oppressive. When she decides to try to strike out on her own and comes face-to-face with her past, her life blows up. We readers have met Big Chief before and when he is sent to keep watch over Delilah, we learn so much more about him. Forced to travel together forces them to acknowledge the passion that always simmered below the surface, and let me tell you these two are HAWT! Delilah has always been her own person and Lee is so darn swoon worthy. Somehow they complete something in each other that they didn't know was missing. Being able to visit with the rest of the original Devil Dusts made my heart happy.
"It's crazy how life takes you in a full circle only to bring you back home." ~ Delilah
I love the Devil Dust MC series when I heard there was a legacy I jumped all over these books and devoured them! I was so excited to finally read Delilah’s story it was a little more on the tamer side than what I’m used to by this author but still a amazing and captivating story. Some secrets come to light in this one that had me shook to my core I loved the connection and chemistry Big Chief and Delilah had I think he was perfect to tame our little club princess he’s sweet yet dominate and firm when needed and there’s no denying his love for her and her family. This was as usual a intense and wild ride and I can’t recommend anything by this author enough! I’m so excited to hear of the next new series because yes I need some more Thane in my life ! Awesome fast paced steamy read with action and violence and we get to see some of the OG Devil Dust crew just overall a fantastic read ! Loved every page of it !
The Secrets That Find Us was my first read by M.N. Forgy and she didn't disappoint me at all. This gritty and raw MC romance had all the elements of suspense and action that you need in a good MC romance. It was all fire, blood and emotional chaos. An explosive love story with fierce passion.
Delilah is tired of being treated as a little girl by her father and family even when she is a grown up bada$$ woman. Being the precious daughter of the notorious and powerful MC club's president is more of a curse. And getting a job as an artist who works in bike detailing in Georgia is the perfect chance to get out of her cage. But she faces some demons of her past there. And before she could be destroyed by them, she is rescued by Big Chief, the prospect her father sent secretly to keep an eye on her. It's a long road to LA and they have years of pent up sexual tension and days of adrenaline rush to work out through. Even when it's a big risk because Delilah is strictly off limits.
I totally loved the vibes of this book. A bit dark. A bit suspense and action and drama. A lot of dirty and steamy chemistry. And the intensity of Delilah and Big Chief's ( Yeah you need to read the story to get his original name) connection. There was lot of push and pull..back and forth as he resisted his attraction to Delilah as long as possible. But they were stuck together in a time when Delilah needed someone to make her feel safe and whole and it was difficult to stay away. It was like a dam broke and that was amazing. Delilah was getting on my nerves sometimes. She has a loving family who are overbearing and overprotective for right reasons. Yet she let the need of independence rule and cloud her judgment and takes some reckless decisions. She is a bit broken but still bold and fearless. And Big Chief gave her the balance of having control of her whole life and being grounded. Big Chief is everything you need in a biker antihero. Rough. Rugged. Possessive. Filthy in bedroom. Raw magnetism and alpha arrogance in every step. He literally did anything and everything for Delilah.Their love was born in unusual circumstances and it is pure and powerful.
The Secrets That Find Us by M.N. Forgy was a fast paced and emotional MC romance. It was equal parts darkness, sin and bliss.
This book is AWESOME!!! The characters are so well developed I even cringed when Delilah got offered a job in Georgia because she was so sheltered being the Devils Dust MC princess. It was nice to put some distance between her and her overbearing family. Big Chief, a prospect for the club, was tasked with guarding her. Protect the club Princess, what could go wrong? This story was filled with drama, suspense and high-octane fun!
Ok first I want to start by saying I have loved Mrs. Forgy's books for a long, long, long time. When I had my other blog I used to review all her books. So I have been with her since the beginning. I love, love, love the Original Devils Dust series and characters.
When I first heard there was going to be a spin-off series with the kid's I was happy, but wary. I'm always wary about spin-offs because usually there not as good as the originals. Don't get me wrong there are some really good spin-offs.
Unfortunately this wasn't one of them. This whole series unfortunately was just a big let down for me.
Let's start with Delilah. I don't think I have ever, ever, ever rolled my eyes as hard or as much as I did with her. At twenty one years old she is trying to break free of her life as the over protected club princess and away from her daddy's rules, in a way I get it. Unfortunately instead she comes off as a Childish, Whiny and in Big Chief's words Spoiled Brat. And that's how she acted throughout the Entire Book as a Childish Whiny Brat.
The only saving grace to this book is probably Big Cheif.
Honestly I almost DNF'd this book at 14%. But I pushed through like I have with the other three books in this series, because I wanted to know what happened. This book and really whole series was missing something. It was missing the Devils Dust magic.
I'm giving this book and really this whole series 2 Stars out of 5. And not sure if I'll be reading the next series The Fallen Gods or not.
Big Chief has been with the Devils Dust MC Crew for awhile, he's waiting to be patched in and become a full member. However, being attracted to the one woman he knows he can't have - the President's daughter - Delilah makes things a little hard. They are friends - that's the only thing she's allowed to have - friends. The President - Shadow watches her like a hawk.
Big Chief - one of the prospects for the Devils Dust MC was told to go to Georgia and watch over the MC President - Shadow daughter - Delilah. Its a good thing he was there to watch over her, not sure how longer she would have lasted with the Georgia MC crew beating up on her.
Delilah paints custom bikes. She is very talented and loves what she's doing. However, being the MC Club's Princess, and never being allowed to be touched or have a boyfriend is finally taking a toll on her. She gets a job offer from a bike shop out in Georgia. She decides to leave in the middle of the night and drive to Georgia. She's trying to get away from her father and his controlling tendencies.
Will Big Chief be able to save Delilah and bring her back home? Will Delilah let him take her or will she fight him. Will Delilah find out if she can make it on her own without her family nearby?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.

It is so nice going back into the world of the Devils Dust. I missed these characters and I love getting the kids stories. This is Shadows daughter so you know she is a handful. Being tired of being the Presidents daughter and having your every moment watched Delilah takes a job across the country. What she thinks she is finally going to start over, trouble comes her way. The thing she wanted away from ends us saving her. I love this series, the excitement, the danger. The way these people stand together. Great read! Check it out!
Delilah has always been the club princess and her dad has always kept her closely guarded so when she gets a chance to spread her wings she jumps on it but little does she know that he sends a undercover prospect, Big Chief, to keep a well guarded eye on her but things get a little more then friendly for them. Cute story
I've been wanting to pick up more books of Ms.Forgy's this year and as soon as I found out about The Secrets That Find Us I knew I wanted to read it next! I really liked this story!
Delilah's journey had my attention right from the first few chapters! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen in this world. I really liked how her story kept me on my toes and how it had emotion as well as heat! I just struggled to fully connect with these characters.
With The Secrets That Find Us, Ms.Forgy has created a good read! I'm looking forward to reading what she comes up with next! 💚
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
The original series (the parents stories) were actually my first MC books and I was immediately addicted to not only the genre but the author. Through the years I believe I have read all of her books but her MC stories continue to be my favorite. And this one is no different! Our girl is strong and wants to be independent at times shes got too much of her parents in her for her own good. So she is determined to go out on her own live her own life. Well let me tell you life sucks sometimes!!! Thank heavens there was a cowboy on a motorcycle sent to save the day. He guided her, loved her ( though forbidden) and helped her see home ain't such a bad place. I am sad to hear this is the last in the Devil's Dust series but overly excited to see a new MC from her!!!
The book starts when Delilah is 15 and wants to have some fun. We flashforward a few years and find her still stuck. Delilah decides, at the age of 21, to leave the nest and strike out on her own. The synopsis of the book depicting Delilah and Big Chief had me intrigued and I was interested to see how their forbidden love was going to play out. However, the book I got was way different. Delilah was immature, bratty and somehow thought she was a scorpion. I didn't get that at all. Big Chief, for his part, seems shallow and just going through life. I know that I was supposed to feel that they had feelings for each other prior to her leaving, but I felt like I was dropped into the middle of their story. They both were immature and snapped at each other constantly. It almost seemed like they were both in lust and not interested in more. Shadow was ridiculous and Dani let him dictate how their daughter was going to live without much of a fight. That didn't seem like good parenting to me. Big Chief does step up and Shadow was ridiculous in his attempt to get him to admit defeat. The issue with Thane kind of took a back burner and I didn't understand that. Also, the big secret wasn't hard to figure out. What was hard to figure out was how Shadow and Dani reacted to it at the time. Also, when D and Big Chief get back to the club house after being alerted to return, how come neither Shadow or Dani tied to soften the blow of the life altering change that was occurring? Big Chief did a great job of going with the flow and letting Delilah know he was in for the long haul. It would have been nice to get a good epilogue. I will say that this book had a lot of editing errors in it. There were quite a few instances of a paragraph ending with a sentence and then the next paragraph beginning with the exact same sentence. Also, how could Dani have seen the family attorney 15 years prior when she is only 21 and what they are referencing happened 4 years prior? The constant repetitiveness was jarring and made the book choppy.
HOLY HELL! I absolutely devoured every last page as fast as humanly possible so I would warn to not start this story before bed. Delilah is a MC princess who is protected to the point where she has only been with one man before her father, brother, and MC men took over so she hadn't even gone out on dates. She ends up finding a job far away from her family, and even left without saying goodbye to anyone. Poor girl finds herself in quite the jam from the jump, but luckily, her father, Shadow, sent Big Chief (aka Lee), a prospect, to watch over her without her knowing. Will he be able to stay under the radar?! And/or will he be able to keep her safe?! Yeah, there's a lot of questions to be answered, and I'm definitely hoping that I get answers to Thane, and his questionable actions or inaction if you will. Hopefully I'll get those when the next MC series takes off because I have quite a lot. All of this action will keep you on the edge of your seat like it did me since it was a hell of a ride, with f-bomb worthy twists coming in hot. So, in order to get all deets to everything that happened, you know what to do! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Secrets always come out. Delilah was your rebellious, club Princess with secrets. She wanted to escape the club, her controlling father and Mother. Little did she know her new job would turn out to be a nightmare. A mistake she made at 15 yrs old.
Big Chief was sent to bring her home. Delilah was beaten by her first Thane and his club. Once home she still rebelled because now she loves Big Chief.
Her father Shadow flipped making Big Chief prove his love for his daughter. Then Delilah's biggest secret comes to life. Does the author give us HEA? Not going to spoil it you readers. Great series
In this Devil’s Dust MC book four, Delilah, the President’s daughter. Is the main character the story is based around. That’s slightly different in as far as even though the club princess is often a lead character, she is not the stand out on her own lead character and I loved this concept. Her story starts from when she’s a teenager at sixteen then moves to when she’s twenty-one and a lot happens.
Big Chief, a prospect at the club, is tasked with protecting Delilah, and thank goodness too! He is a confident, dominant alpha male who was once a bull rider, so changing an animal for a steel stallion his preference now. He truly is put in a tough position but handled things quite well I thought, mind you some parts are mind-blowing! Delilah is a true Devil through and through, confident in her abilities and needs. She has a quick mouth with comebacks and put downs that are not only appropriate for each occasion but also very clever.
The story has its fair share of action and drama with some nasty consequences for poor Delilah. There’s plenty of excitement but a lot of it is family-focused, just as entertaining but a tad different. This book sets up the next series so well and I am already excited and can’t wait until the first book in the Fallen Gods MC.
Here comes the club princess! The Secrets that Find Us is book 4 in The Devil's Dust Legacy and follows Shadow's daughter Deliah as she attempts to fly the coupe and follow her dreams. Deliah has always been sheltered by the club given her grandfather and now father are club president. She is off limits to all and no one is good enough. At 20 years old Deliah just wants something of her own so she sets out to find a new start and new life away from the club doing what she loves. Little does she know that her past is about to become her present and all the pain she tries to outrun will come back to smack her in the face.
Big Chief is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma wrapped up in one sexy southern country Cowboy package. Now a prospect her does as ordered so when his president send shim to secretly watch over Deliah and report back he cannot say no. What no one knows is that Big Chief and Deliah where getting close, forming a bound. He was not pleased when she left without a word and now he will have to watch from a far.
She is his biggest temptation, she will get what she wants and that is to climb Big Chief like a tree and wrap herself around him!
This story is jam packed with twist and turns and major blows that no one could have predicted. I was completely blind sided by some of the revelations in this books so it comes as no surprise that it was the final in the Legacy series for the Devil's Dust. Go out with a bang as they say. Still one of my favourite MCs have been a big fan since I first picked up Shadow and Dani and it is sad to see them come to an end but all good things do I guess.😢🖤💀
Big Chief has been tasked with watching the president's daughter Delilah as she ventures out on her own, looking to make a name for herself and her dreams come true whilst she’s at it, away from those in the compound she’s grown up surrounded by, he can’t say no, after all it’s 1- His president and 2- His cut depends on it. If Big Chief wants patched in he’ll do as he’s told, taking the bull by its horns he jumps in his truck and rides off following Delilah.
Big Chief has always wanted the loyalty and family which comes with the MC lifestyle but he wants Delilah more, always has done since he first set eyes on her but being the president's daughter meant that she was off limits, but that’s all set to change when the pair are thrown closer together. Circumstances combined with severe weather see them stranded in a hotel room for a few days, despite trying to resist temptation they become closer than ever, however will things stay that way as they return to the Devil’s compound and under the watchful eyes of it’s president?
It’s clear that both Delilah and Big Chief have had their own issues in the past, In The Secrets That Find Us we get to hear more about their backgrounds and discover how for some what happened in the past doesn't always stay there.
It was great learning more about Delilah and Big Chief, their story is full of action and suspense with some serious heat and a few surprises thrown in to keep us readers captivated throughout. Don’t miss out, The Secrets That Find Us is another brilliant addition towards the series with a glimpse into what’s coming our way with the new MC on the horizon.
Delilah is the daughter of Devil Dust MC president and her life has never really been her own. Her over the top protective dad and brother has always put a stop to any and almost all decision that Delilah has made because keeping her safe is their number one priority. What they don’t realize is that Delilah is wanting a life of her own, she recognizes she is spoiled and is dying to gains some independence over her life, she just must step away from her family to do so. By trying to keep guys away and Delilah safe her father and brother have kept her from really experiencing life and as a rebel this makes her crave that independence even more, so she takes off for a job across the States. I don’t think at times that Delilah understood the danger not only her life could be in if she ended up in the wrong hands but others as well so it was a tad frustrating seeing her want independence when she should have been more mature about things. Big Chief is sent to keep an eye on her and knows she is forbidden fruit if he wants to go far in the MC, but there is a draw to Delilah that he can’t help being attracted to. Delilah’s past has come back to haunt her and she can’t outrun her demons so she has to face them full on and deal with the fallout, but Big Chief is there to help her through. Through some twists and turns this was a fast paced read that had me frustrated one second and swooning the next. I can’t wait for Thane’s book I have a feeling things are going to really heat up.

Delilah just wants to spread her wings. Big Chief will do what’s asked of him. You could probably read their story as a standalone but…. I think to truly understand the Devil’s Dust it is best to start at the beginning. If not, this may give you the incentive to see what you missed out on.
The characters are very believable and the heat between our main characters is almost instantaneous. It can get hot and steamy so keeping something cold nearby can never hurt. In my neck of the woods, warm weather is upon us and sitting outdoors to read their story is a great idea. Maybe some of your neighbors have motorcycles, or you hear the rumble from the main drag.
If it’s a rainy day, why not watch some of the old Orange County Choppers. I think this crew would fit in perfectly with Paul Teutul and his group. Sad part is that there’s a lot of bleeping going on but you shouldn’t have any trouble filling in the blanks.
This is one of those books that once you get started it’s hard to turn away from. Try not to speed read in order to finish in a few hours because you may end up missing something important – you want to enjoy what you’re reading. I loved how our author ended the story. But is it the end? And make sure to read the author’s note because you’ll want to see what she has in store for her readers.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Devil's Dust is one of my favorite MC series. One that i read and re read constantly. I will admit, it's mostly because of Shadow but still. This is Delilah's book. Shadow's daughter. She is such a free spirit. She just wants to be free. Her father and brother were always in her business and apart from the club kids, she never had any other friends. At the end of the last book delilah went to georgia for her new job. Or more precisely, she ran to georgia. A meeting with someone from her past opens up a wound that it's still fresh, that never healed. Big Chief is promised entrance into the Devil's MC if he keeps an eye on delilah. He goes after her and keeps watch. When he saves her from an ugly situation the two of them bond and give in to their feelings. Big chief's love for delilah is really put to test, not only by her father but especially when the past comes knocking at the door bringin in an unexpected guest. The only reason i gave the book 4 starts instead of 5 is because i felt like delilah had better chemistry with another man. Which is why i didn't quite warmed up to big chief. He is okay, he really loves delilah and he proved it. But he lacks Shadow's charisma and i think delilah would've made a better pair with S.
If it is an M. N. Forgy book you can be sure it's a good one. No difference with this one. A one-sitting read.
The title Club Princess is nothing like a real princess. No freedom. No dating (unless you want your dad, blood brother, or club guys to beat him to a pulp.) Guys know it and don't go there. She had lived with it long enough. Time for freedom. Would it turn out as she expected?
Her father didn't plan to take chances. She may need her space but he wasn't going to let her without someone there just in case--Big Chief. He was anxious to get his patch as a prospect he needed one stand-out action to get there. Watching over D, unknown to her, could be that event. But not everything goes as planned. He has to keep her safe--and keep his hands off her.
From here there are just too many spoilers to tell more. Know some secrets are just too big and consuming. Try guessing the end but don't be surprised if you are wrong. One thing that won't be a surprise--that this is another amazing book by the author. Great characters, world-building, lots of steam, surprises galore, and an ending to make you sigh. This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Big Chief and Delilah’s story. Delilah is the daughter of the notorious President of The Devils Dust, and tired of being the club Princess she wants the freedom of following her dreams which has her leaving her overprotective dad and brother behind and leaving without a word to travel to Georgia to pursue her dreams. Once there she is faced with someone from her past, and unknown to her Big Chief who is a prospect is tasked by her dad to find her without letting her know he is there. When things take a savage turn Big Chief has no option but to interfere and get Delilah away from the danger to return home. These two were friends but feeing are developing into more, but how will they manage to convince her dad not to kill him? What will happen when secrets are revealed? This is a well written fast paced story which has explosive and undeniable chemistry, drama, secrets, family, friendships, loyalty, danger, action, violence, and love, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming read, I look forward to reading more from this gifted author whose work I highly recommend.
I was pulled right into this story. This story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below books from this series I would highly recommend that you do: What Doesn't Destroy Us (The Devil's Dust, #1) The Scars That Define Us (The Devil's Dust, #2) The Broken Pieces of Us (The Devil's Dust, #2.1) Love That Defies Us (The Devil's Dust, #2.2) The Fear That Divides Us (The Devil's Dust, #3) The Lies Between Us (The Devil's Dust #4) What Might Kill Us (The Devil's Dust #5)
This is Delilah and Big Chief’s story. She wants away and gets an opportunity when she is offered a job. Her dad sends Big Chief to keep an eye on her. Should be easy right just watch her. But that’s when all the crazy happens. He has to step in a save her. Now they are in the middle of something they both should not be. Secrets are revealed these two must figure out the next steps. You get a glimpse of the next generation and what they will be bringing to the future of the MC.
I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Ahhh I have been waiting and waiting for Delilah and Big Chief's story for so long. The tension between the two was hinted at so well in previous books, and I knew coming into The Secrets That Find Us that the two of them were going to be EXPLOSIVE.
My heart ached for Delilah from the very beginning. Surrounded by a horde of alpha males set on protecting her, she longed for independence and an escape from the watchful eyes of her brother, father, and Devil's Dust family. Forgy did a fantastic job letting her spread her wings and encountering hurdles along the way. When things get out of hand and Big Chief is forced to step in, Delilah can no longer ignore the undeniable attraction that sizzles between them.
Filled with drama, suspense, and oozing sexual tension, The Secrets That Find Us is not to be missed. I devoured it in a 24hr period - Forgy hooks you from the very first chapter and continues to draw you in with every turn of the page. Completely unputdownable!
Special mention to my main man... Shadow. For those of you that have been holding out for more Shadow... THIS DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!
‘“Lust like a saint, trust like a sinner,” I mutter to myself, the words of my grandfather still with me to this day.”’
Some folk don’t know what they have until they leave it all behind, find themselves and realise the value of their family and friends. Delilah is one such person. Sheltered and somewhat smothered by her family, as a MC Princess she has been protected from the worst the world has to offer whilst being acutely aware of the darker side of life. But having knowledge isn’t having experience and she wants to taste it all. Offered the chance she runs, leaving her protective bubble behind. Drama dogs her and not everything is as it seems. Big Chief has been to be her at a distance watch dog but soon finds cause to step in and things explode from there! I feel this a story that details the awakening of Delilah and she is reborn to be the force of nature she has always been destined to become. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
A four star I want more read.
