Liz McKeeting likes nothing better than to devour books. Literally! In doing so, she discovers she can really become a part of her stories. Follow Liz on her adventures as she learns a very important lesson!
Not appropriate for children at all. As a Christian father of two; I saw this book and was horrified. the amount of suicide, Self-harm, and drug abuse that is promoted bewildered me. Not to mention the illustrations were uninspiring and were rather dark and vulgar. Illustrations like these could be traumatic for young minds and may lead to anxiety and I encourage other parents on this site to listen to this review and never read or purchase any of this Author's books.
Nice story that reflects the wonderful experiences that a child can have when reading. However, since reading does not make it evident, it may be appropriate to explain to the little ones that it is an imaginary story and that the events narrated are not real.
This was such a fun, cute story. It shows what you can do with your imagination. Whenever you read a good book you feel like you are becoming part of the story. In this one it takes things a step further because she. She eats the book, things actually happen. Eventually she runs into the problem of how to become herself again and needs a bit of help.
The pictures are nice and colourful as well as great at illustrating the story. We also enjoyed the story flow, easy for the kids to follow along.

My kids (3 and 5) have loved this book from the first time we read it to them. They ask questions about the illustrations, they laugh at the silliness and love to imagine the books they would eat if they could. They even fought over who got to take the book to read on their own! Not sure if that's a good thing, but I'll take it as a win!! The limericks are clever and fun to read. Would highly recommend this book!
What fun this is. Both you and whichever child you're reading to, even if it's the child inside, will laugh with delight. This is definitely the new baby gift of choice.
This is one of those silly but imaginative books that children love. Little girl Liz loves books… and she figures they might be good to eat. Her mother admonishes her not to, but when alone in her room, little Liz decides to eat a book on kites… and turns into one! After enjoying a nice float, and being admonished again, she looks at her books and wonders what else the books can turn her into. This is fun for a bit… but how can she turn back into herself? The illustrations are colorful and appropriately whimsical. If you have a child in your life who enjoys zany, imaginative books, she or he may very well enjoy this book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
My grandson and I loved this story. He had actually taken a few bites out of a few books when he was a baby so this story was near and dear to our hearts. It was wonderfully written and illustrated, although the illustrations don't come through as well on a Kindle paperwhite or oasis, but I am sure it would work well on a Kindle Fire. I look forward to reading more with my grandson and books like this are welcome. We look forward to reading more from this author.

Liz likes to eat books and doing so she becomes part of the stories. After turning into a kite, she decides to eat books with different kinds of stories to see what else she can turn into. A crazy and fun story that kids will enjoy. Three stars and a half. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wonderful and imaginative book. Kids will love the different journeys that each book eaten prompts. Great illustrations help tell the story. Fun family book.

don’t spend your money on this unless you wanna end up in the ER cause your kids are eating books. not worth it the story wasn’t even very good promoted bad habits.
This author's wife and he both harbor demonic views, which they incorporate into their works in sinful ways. I started reading this to my kids and believed it was appropriate, but I later learned that it encourages things that are not Christian, such as drug usage and using the name of God in vain.
