AJ Brennan (formerly Adrianne Brennan) stumbled onto their love of writing by accident at the tender age of ten when they did a creative writing assignment for their science class. The end result was their writing a brief science fiction comedy featuring numerous puns regarding vegetables. Once the writing bug bit, it bit pretty hard and they have been writing ever since..

An avid reader, Adrianne has been most influenced by their favorite science fiction and fantasy authors, which include Madeleine L'Engle, Phillip K Dick, LA Banks, Michael Ende, Neil Gaiman, Charles de Lint, and Alan Moore. Like the main character from their book Blood of the Dark Moon, they profess a love for Iamblichus and Greek philosophy.

The author resides in Boston, Massachusetts with two cats and a car they have aptly named "the TARDIS." They assure their readers that people tell them it looks bigger on the inside.
