Debut author Cindy Bonds has enjoyed suspense and storytelling all her life. After taking on writing as a hobby, she's looking to make her mark on the Christian book industry with her military characters and tension-filled scenes. When she's not writing or reading, Cindy enjoys spending time with her two children and her husband in their rural Arkansas town.
Do I want to read more books by this author. Ummm, yes please! Authentic characters who struggle with real faith, villains who you love to hate, twists, turns, love, suspense...Rainstorm has all the stuff that kept me turning page after page! The fact that the book is set in small town Arkansas, just like me, is a bonus! I immediately found another book by this author to read that I am starting right now! Well done!
This book was so good!! It was full of action, drama, suspense and romance. It will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. If you like Christian Romantic Suspense, you will love this book. I received a complimentary copy from Scrivenings Press LLC and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Cave Springs, Arkansas. A small town with secrets. In hopes of finding a quieter life, Dev Hollister resigns as police detective in Little Rock and takes a position as a rural county detective. When he goes to the aid of attack victim Laurel Ashburn, who has secrets of her own, the truth about Cave Springs and some of its residents begins to unravel. Suspense and drama make Rainstorm a page-turner from the beginning. If you like to read Christian romantic suspense, you'll enjoy Rainstorm. I also recommend Hostage, another romantic suspense by Cindy Bonds.
The somewhat rare romanric suspense novel that hits the sweet spot balancing suspense and romance. And the faith aspect of the story seems organic to the character development rather than a shallow add-on.
Excellent read! I love this story. I think Mrs. Bonds is my new favorite author. Strong hero and heroine with real areas of weaknesses and strengths. A growth in the knowledge of God. Read this story. You won't regret it.
Thank you for writing mystery romance books that are not filled with explicit sex acts! It is getting extremely difficult to find books that you would not be embarrassed for your adult children to know you read much less Jesus!!!!
Loved this book from start to finish. I rarely get so caught up in a book, but the author kept enough tension going that I had to keep reading. Can't wait to start another book by Cindy Bonds. Highly recommend.
