I had the good fortune of being able to read an ARC for Ascension and a week after finishing it I’m still reeling from the action, suspense, and heartbreak that takes place.
The evolution of our heroine is truly what makes the ninth book in this series one my favorite things about it. Layla’s journey and her relationships are continuously evolving, as is our journey as the reader. We get to experience all this adventure with her and build relationships the same way she does with everyone around her. Which is why it can make the gut wrenching heartbreaking things that happen such a visceral experience. Ascension fully delivers everything you’d want and then some in this long anticipated addition to the Mystic series.
I highly recommend setting aside a few days of time to read it, the first go round will have you swiping through the pages as fast as your eyes and fingers can go, the second pass through you’ll want to take your time through to absorb everything. Also, have tissues, lots and lots of tissues- I mean it, they’re mandatory.
B.C. Burgess is masterful once more and I can’t wait to see what else lies ahead.

Ascension is full of Suspense and Emotion!
Ascension Part 1 is an anxiety filled read with so much action you won’t be able to breath at times! Layla has no win choices to make while see battles pure evil. There is non-stop plot twists and action with gut wrenching results. Layla will face accomplishment and failure in her eyes as well as relief and grief as she navigates crisis after crisis. There is loss and heartbreak 💔 and so much emotion for the readers (tears 😥). Layla will emerge as a confident Bada$$ Angel as the evil she faces becomes unimaginable. However, Layla is supported with love and family by her side as she holds the fate of the world.
This book is definitely the beginning of a dramatic series finale and includes a twist at the end of Part 1 that will having you saying “Oh Hell No!” and desperate for Ascension Part 2 and 3!

So worth the wait 💜
I cannot tell y'all how excited I was for Ascension to come out! And boy oh boy did Bonnie knock it out of the park!! If you love a book with a strong female that kicks ass, you've found yourself a winner! I appreciate how well written this book is, it gives you all the details that are sometimes overlooked in other books. There's definitely something for everyone, it's not just full of fluff. From the fight scenes to the romance scenes to the amazing descriptions of worlds unknown. It's all amazing! I cannot wait for the next two to come out! Give the whole Mystic series a read! I've read them all several times and I'm never disappointed!

I received part 1 of ascension as part of an early release and I read it in 12 hours. Then did a reread and savored it. I don’t want to give anything away, but you are on a roller coaster of emotion the entire book. It’s action packed and you feel for every character spoken about. Its still a long journey ahead with parts 2 and 3, but the beginning got my blood pumping and my eyes tearing. This series has been my mental break from life for 2 years and I am just so in love w the story and cannot wait to see how it progresses to the end, even tho I don’t want it to end!

I had the blessing of receiving an ARC of part 2 of Ascension! Once again BC Burgess sends us on a wave of emotions. This book starts where part 1 ended. We see Layla’s strength through this whole book. She has grown so much since the first book! We get some family time and we have some heartbreak as well. The steamy scenes are amazing! It ends with a bang and leaves you ready for part 3! I loved it from start to finish and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out in the final book! Well done on another amazing book BC Burgess!

mystic book series
This set of books is very very addictive, from the first chapter of the first book I was addicted so much so I did something that I never do, I paid full price for the next 3 books and again for the next 3 after that so I could follow Layla and Quinllan through all 9 books, this is a series that you never want to end or put down and an added plus is the chapters are NOT cut short, so overall a fantastic series and a brilliant brilliant author

Intense
This book is intense. With the nature of the story, if you follow and enjoy these characters, these books are going to be a bit hard to read. They are well written, and I am wanting to see how the ending goes, so will wait to see where the author takes us.

Edge of your seat read
I was scared to start this book. The end is close and it hurts honestly. But this book is amazing! So much going on, happiness, sadness, vengeance, so many emotions! BC Burgess you never disappoint! Can't wait for the next one.

Omg waited so long for your next book and you didn't disappoint in the least.so much packed into small amount of pages kept me wanting g to keep going but I still can not get over the many losses that Layla faces.

September 4, 2020I really want to read this book i have read all of the earth angel books and kind of feel jipped because it ended with the gauntlet then i found these which are pretty much the same as the earth angel books and this one says its the finale and i cant find it on any platform if anybody could tell me how to get a copy that would be great
