Previously published as "Stranded" by Anastacia K. When her car breaks down in the middle of a deserted road during a snowstorm, Jessica Cross finds herself all alone with no one to call for help. As the temperature plummets a handsome man appears, taking her with him to his remote cabin in the woods. Notorious ladies' man Bryan Hunt is never one to shy away from trouble and when he finds a half-unconscious woman inside of a crashed car he has no choice but to take her to the only place he doesn't want. His cabin.
It’s the perfect combination of cold and warm, wounded and loved. Selena Moore wrote a perfect and much needed escape for Jessica. I felt her pain in the beginning of the story and I felt her come alive like a firecracker with Bryan. And yes, I love a man coming to the rescue! I mean she tried to put up a fight, but a man as manly as Bryan takes you to his cabin, who can resist someone that wants to keep you warm by a fire ? Not me! I really loved them and a part of me already misses them, I am just so happy they met! It felt so good to see a couple who have their pain and loss find their happily ever after.
It’s a quick book with a swoony escape ! A perfect weekend read !
“I never joke around when it comes to fucking."
"Kiss me," he whispered, and he brought his hands on either side of her flushed face, bringing his mouth down on hers.
“I think I'm going to have to keep you as my captive a few more days, or weeks of your life for that matter. Think you can handle that?"
I received an ARC of Stranded in exchange for an honest review. A sexy, short and fast paced read; it's the perfect accompaniment to snuggle up to on a cold winter night.
For a short erotic novelette Stranded sure does cover a lot of ground! Jessica discovers that her fiance is cheating on her. In the process of trying to leave him her car breaks down and Bryan comes to her rescue. While they are stranded in his cabin for a few days to wait out a snow storm they quickly go from enemies to lovers. They are an explosive couple, in both their fighting and their lovemaking. I really enjoyed both characters and reading this story!
Stranded by Anastacia K is a fast-paced and sexy novelette you don't want to miss out on reading.
The story follows Jessica as she becomes stranded when her car breaks down and she loses consciousnesses due to hypothermia. Luckily for her, she is rescued by a sexy stranger, Bryan, who takes her back to his cabin to get warm. With the snow storm roaring outside, neither of them are going anywhere for a few days. Forced together by nature and a sudden attraction, the fire inside the cabin isn't the only thing starting to heat up.
This novelette was well written and the characters banter was fun to read. The author does a wonderful job at bringing just enough sexy heat to the story without making it uncomfortable. It was a quick read, but I was pleased to see the epilogue at the end to see the progression of their relationship a year later.
I would give this novelette 5 out of 5 stars. Fantastic read for anyone looking for a quick and sexy romance story!
If you’re looking for a quick and easy read before bedtime, then look no further, this book is just for you. I loved Bryan’s character, he’s was perfect in my opinion. Rugged, sexy and definitely capable to look after himself. I didn’t really connect with Jessica’s character in the beginning. She was too much of a complaining princess but Bryan didn’t put up with her nonsense. I also thought the book needed a bit more dialogue between the two main characters. It would have made the storyline flow a bit better.
Stranded is a wonderfully hot novelette that hits all the right spots for a satisfying HEA. Stranded in a snowstorm, Jessica finds herself rescued by Bryan who is super sexy and very open to showing her how to keep warm on a cold night. He saved her from certain death, but can he also save her heart?
I enjoyed this quick read and will be looking forward to reading more by this author.
I loved this novelette! It was well-written and the characters were enjoyable and well-developed in the space of a short novel. Just the right amount and length of steamy scenes for the story and the epilogue was sweet. I love a good HEA and Stranded did not disappoint!
This story was great ! Steamy and well developed characters a little fast paced but all in all it was fantastic read with a very cute HEA but definitely lots of yummy steamy goodness If I could give it a ten outta ten I would
I had the honour to read an advance copy of this debut novel and felt totally absorbed by the story since the first few lines. Stranded is erotica, is romance is suspense, it is a continuo guessing about what it will happen next. It is a fluid easy read that will captivate you.
This was a nice quick sexy read filled with just my type of man - sexy and rugged who knows how to keep a woman warm during a blizzard! Who doesn't fantasize about a hot man saving us when we break down on the side of the road? I know I have!
This novella has great potential to be a nail-biting, panty melting example of forced proximity. It's unfortunately too short to make the most of potential tension, but I do hope the author revises it to bring out the emotion, tension and deliciously sexy desire that could exist between the characters.
The story shows promise but it reads like a first draft with glaring grammatical errors, plot inconsistencies, and poor character development. If I had to guess, I would say the writer is really young. If she is serious about writing, she should work with a good editor. Normally I try to at least finish the book but I only made it a little more than halfway before I couldn’t take it anymore. The two main characters were incredibly annoying. The male love interest was extremely sexist. There were no redeeming qualities in either of them. They both seemed more like caricatures than characters.
...a woman's car breaks down on a steep snowy mountain road & leaves her stranded... a man comes out of the blizzard to save her from hyperthermia & takes her back to his mountain cabin... So begins the very quick read of Selena Moore's Stranded: a snowy close-proximity, annoyed-cabin-mates-turned-lovers romance. Power goes out during a snowstorm causing Jessica & Bryan to become *creative* in staying warm. Some banter, misguided feelings and bluntness contribute to Jessica & Bryan to be honest with each other. I was glad an Epilogue was included with this very quick read.
I really enjoyed reading this novel! Very good story, atmospheric and extremely erotic! Anastacia is a skillful writer!! Her well developed characters, rich vocabulary and beautiful descriptions, hot and spicy, kept me glued till the end which was sweet and absolutely satisfying!!! I highly recommend it and looking forward for the next one!!!
This is a quick and lovely read. I love the banter between the two and the chemistry was evident from the start. I feel like they saved each other. This is worth the read.
