The author opens by explaining what the vagus nerve is, where it is located and its functions. I had no idea that the vagus nerve was reaponsible for so many functions is our body. The author then looks at what can cause the vagus nerve to fail or not work properly (excessive sugar, obesity, etc) and what happens in the body when that failure occurs. I thought it was interesting that the author looked at keto and yoga specifically as ways to support the function of the vagus nerve. The reader is left with a lot to think about.
