Strange—or Fun—Idea...
I have reviewed a fair number of color by number books as well as mandala books, but I've never seen the two ideas combined. It's a fascinating concept, but seeing its execution leaves me a little flat. Many mandala designs are quite complex—as mandalas often are—with tiny sections to color, especially toward the center. This creates two problems, to my mind. One, the numbers are sometimes hard to read as they have to fit into such a small space. Two, it makes for a lot of numbers on the page that will show through light colors. Some illustrations are not true mandalas, as the repeating pattern lacked symmetry. At least one was totally asymmetrical, based on a sea theme. It was very pretty, but not a true mandala. One thing I did like about the book is that the backing page, rather than being simply blank, provided the color key. If you like the idea of combining color by numbers and mandalas, you will most likely enjoy this book. If you think it's an odd idea, you'll be right as well!

The only reason I gave this a 4 star is cause I did not like all the number page all blank and the outline on the other pages with the black out frame. This was nice having a color by number to see what it would look like when done. You could also skip that and do your own color. Go relax and color by number. your don't have to decide what color to use just follow along. It also gives you a number guide for each page.

A collection of mandalas to help relax while enjoying colouring. I think the idea of having mandalas with numbers is good mostly for indecisive people who doubt what colour to use.
My favourite mandalas are the one with the birds and the one with the butterflies.

These coloring pages are great just to keep busy. All of them are fairly intricate. I enjoyed it. I like to keep my mind busy so it was something that I would take to keep busy or occupied when I feel the need to decompress. This is a risque coloring book but for adults its a great challenge. I would recommend it to most adult who love to color, unless you are easily offended.

I really enjoyed this Mandala Color by Numbers for Adults. When I need time to relax and get away from the world coloring really helps me!!! I hope you enjoy this coloring book as much as I did!!
