I am a professional origami artist and author and I've been folding paper for over 30 years. I never cease to be amazed by the geometric possibilities and sheer beauty that lies dormant within a sheet of paper, waiting for the careful hand of the folder to awaken it.

Over the years, origami has brought me many friends, has inspired, amused and intrigued me, as well as being a source of income. It's a lucky man who gets to work at a subject he loves.

I have been a member of the British Origami Society for over 25 years and edited their magazine as well as maintaining their website since 1996. I have written 35 books about origami, supplied photographs for articles on paper-folding and have fulfilled numerous commercial and charitable origami commissions involving origami and paper art over the last 20 years, both within the UK and abroad.

unlock your potential!I have created several hundred original designs. I regularly teach origami in schools, arts centres and many other venues & have a clean enhanced CRB check.

Let me unlock the potential of origami for your creative campaigns!

Robinson, N. (2009). Super simple paper airplanes: Step-by-step instructions to make planes that really fly from a tri-plane to a jet fighter. Sterling Publications.

Content/Scope: This manual will target kids of most ages, however with the reading level and difficulty of folding, this will attract upper elementary grades such as 4th-6th grade. This book will not only target students for entertainment value, it will encourage academics such as math: geometry.

Accuracy: Sterling Publishing is a well known publisher with a positive reputation. This company has published an assortment of books from fiction to nonfiction and for a variety of audiences.

Arrangement: This manual is arranged into chapters. The first chapter equips the reader with knowledge of vocabulary and terms that will be used throughout the book. Then it starts out with basic folds and paper sizes needed. Then, onto various types of paper airplanes. This seems to be very organized and user friendly.

Relation to similar works: Kids' Paper Airplane by Ken Blackburn, Wings & Things in Origami by Stephen Weiss

Timelines: This book will not need to be updated for a while. This provides information that may not change, as long as the product recipes are satisfactory to the audience.

Cost: $9.95

I can't tell you the number of hours of entertainment this book has provided. It's been in the house for maybe five years now. When we first started, my oldest son had no patience for folding, now he's a pro and the others are joining in. Make sure to have a few reams of paper on hand! There planes range from simple to difficult. I've tried a few and the instructions are great!
