Chaos descends upon the woods. Kelty seeks to heal the unrest in the Court of Outcasts and find a way into Faerie. It’s time to rise to her full position of ruler, but first she must reconcile her court with Faerie and warn them of the dark magic Fable brought into their world. Nola is adapting to her new body and life, but it is not what she expected—especially her relationship with Briar. And when Kelty gives her more responsibility within the court and old human friends show up, she just may crack under the pressure. Allora is now a part of the Court of Outcasts after Fable leaves her behind. She seeks to lure Fable back by toying with the court, but when a familiar adversary appears in the woods, she is forced to confront her own past. If Kelty and Nola fail to legitimize and establish the court, it may grow out of control—spelling disaster for the human world and the faerie outcasts in it. In the stunning final installment of the Tales of an Outcast Faerie series, the paths of three faeries clash as they struggle to find peace in the aftermath of the conflict that brought them together.

A beautiful conclusion of a beautiful story! A great book makes you sad when you finish reading it. I can say this for this book. I had a bittersweet smile when I read the last chapter. I have always been in love with how Nola and Kelty’s worlds, so different from each other, collide. Allison has done that so beautifully that you can’t help appreciating the world-building! I can say this for this one as well. I absolutely love the way Kelty, Nora and Allora’s lives meet each other to form a beautiful friendship. Highly recommended to all who are reading this!

This is a wonderful series which brings two beings into contact with each other-one a faerie who was betrayed and cast out and a human girl who always seemed alone and sought refuge in the park where she lived. There was mistrust on the part of the faerie initially due to the lies they were always told about humans before being banished but how trust and longing to communicate with someone else broke through those barriers and resulted in a lifetime of friendship and trust between them.
It carried on when other faeries were banished to earth and some met up with Kelty and Nola and learned to trust again. Nola finds out, however, that not all faeries are good as she is tricked like Kelty was by the same faerie. Kelty was banished to earth and Nola was turned into a faerie herself as a result.
There are a lot of exciting adventures awaiting these two and others in this series and I recommend this series to all those who love fantasy and faerie tales! I think you’ll also find it hard to put these books down because of what you’re reading and enjoying as a result.
Allison has a wonderful series here and I was sad that this was the final book in the series but glad for the opportunity I have had to read and experience how betrayal both Kelty and Nola suffered by the same faerie helps to welcome other faeries who are outcasts as well in the human world and how working together they can become stronger and productive.
Love and trust are the very foundation to build a lasting relationship and this is brought out in this series.
I urge you to get the entire series and read it from cover to cover. I believe you’ll like it so much that you’ll find yourself reading it again and again in the future to let you know good does triumph over evil in the end! We live in dark days right now and we need to read and be uplifted by books that will make us feel good and not give up. I believe this series will do just that.
After two books and two prequel novellas, the story of Kelty and Nola comes to an end with The Ruler of Chaos, a fitting final installment of the Tales of an Outcast Faerie series!
Kelty settles naturally into her role as the ruler of the Court of Outcasts but must confront a few final outside threats and her own doubts as she tries to legitimize her court among those of Faerie. Meanwhile, Nola faces fresh challenges as she adjusts to her new life and embraces the magic she has yet to understand. To make things more complicated, Allora has joined the court as an outcast, but her motives may be less than favorable to Kelty's goals…
After following Kelty's and Nola's stories throughout this series, I really enjoyed seeing both main characters rise up into their roles and finally learn to accept themselves as they reached the end of their journeys. The dynamic among all the characters feels real and relatable; I especially love that some chapters are told from Allora's point of view—they add a layer of intrigue to the plot, and her gray morality serves as an interesting contrast to Kelty and Nola's heroism. On a side note, parts of the story tie into the author's other series, Light of Faerie, and I can't wait to see how those events unfold in her other books!
Overall, this was an enjoyable and satisfying conclusion to the Tales of an Outcast Faerie series! I hope the author chooses to continue these characters' journeys in future stories, but until then, I look forward to seeing more of her world in the Light of Faerie series!
I have loved this series from the start and although sad to see it end I was eager to see how the author would finish it and I have to say she did a fantastic job. In this fast paced and action packed read we fine Kelty and Nola struggling to establish the court of outcasts. We get answers to questions and there’s mistrust and lies in this exciting and stunning ending and once again I found myself sucked into this incredible world. It’s been one hell of an adventure, emotional, intriguing and such a great read with fantastic characters, that I cannot recommend this enough!
This is the last book in the serie and faeries and humans have to come together (at least the one that know about them) while Kelly accepts her role as the Outcast leader. She has to get recognition from the Night and Day Courts and that will be a challenge. Nola turns out to be a key part in all this and the ending is quite unexpected to be honest. I think the strong point in this serie is that you can never really anticipate how the characters will act. This serie has some cool world building so I'm glad the author has plans to write a spin-off serie to enrich this one.
Kelty seeks to heal the unrest in the Court of Outcasts and find a way into Faerie. It’s time to rise to her full position of ruler, but first she must reconcile her court with Faerie and warn them of the dark magic Fable brought into their world. Chaos lies what is the truth will she find out. Great characters ,vivid scenes and a great ending.
The Ruler of Chaos(Tales of an Outcast Faerie#3) by Allison Rose is the well written conclusion of the series and I definitely recommend. In this book the paths of three faeries clash as they struggle to find peace in the aftermath of the conflict that brought them together. I want to read more books written by Allison Rose.
