Even knowing Ron O’Hara is somewhere in the vicinity, Jonah Powell feels it’s time to finally get rid of the diamonds which have haunted his family for decades and caused so much trouble. However, other problems start to arrive from unexpected and additional sources, some of which Jonah didn’t expect.
Neither did he expect Teagan Fraser to be playing on his mind so heavily.
But what does it all mean? It may be apt to call time on the curse plaguing his family and of those around him, but how can this be achieved while so many other things are at stake?
Over the years Edie has worked all over the UK, as well as in several other countries and has met a lot of interesting people - several of whom have supplied ideas for some of the characters in her books! She has now settled back in central England with her partner and children, where she is pursuing her writing.
Edie writes gritty gangland and urban fiction and her series so far include her latest - the Scarred series, the Allegiance series, the Retribution series, Hunted series and Downfall series.
When she isn’t writing, Edie enjoys reading and is a self-confessed book hoarder. She also enjoys crochet and music as well as loving anything quirky or unusual.
All I can say is WOW. It’s not often each book in a series gets better than the last but this one does just that. It was a brilliant read and had more twists and turns than a cartwheel on bonfire night. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in 2 nights. I would definitely recommend people read this whole series. After reading this and the Hunted series I would say that Edie Baylis is definitely one of my favourite authors now.
I honestly didn't how how this series could get any better, alongside the fabulous storyline playing out, but Edie Baylis certainly nailed it with this 3rd book. I love Edie's attention to detail and her characterisation. We get to hear and feel the character's thoughts and emotions, like a window to their souls which made for compelling reading and a truly exciting finale to this famous series, which has now jumped to the top as my favourite! Highly recommended!!
I have just finished the last of this trilogy & I loved it.Definitely be looking for !ore books by Edie Baylis definitely recommend to readers who like the same kind of books that I read⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was pleased to receive an ARC of this book as I've been looking forward to reading the third installment in the retribution series, and it certainly didn't disappoint! As with all of Edie's books, it hooks you from the start and you just need to keep reading. One of the best Authors in this genre, Edie just keeps getting better and better. This book (and series) is ideal for fans of Martina Cole and Kimberley Chambers, and is possibly her best one yet. Brilliantly written, with characters you either love, or love to hate, the story hooks you from the start and isn't one you can put down easily. If you like gritty gangland crime fiction, this is definitely a book for you. Sad that the series has come to an end but this is a great book to finish it on. A massive 5 stars from me and would rate it higher if I could!
This book wow I couldn't put out down. This is the third in the series and I think the best. It had everything and i really didn't want out too end. Not sure what I'm going to read now but definitely going to look at more by this author. Thank you Edie Baylis
Every trilogy I read of yours never fails to get me involved. I care for every character - in different ways of course! I can’t wait for the next one! Dare I admit I’m obsessed?!!
Brilliant series .. love this author, love all her books , bit like Pringles once you pop u can’t stop and this trio of books was exactly that.. I don’t write reviews with spoilers, just get stuck in you will not be able to stop!!
