JACKASS, Book Three in the Bombshells Series

It was only supposed to be a “friends with benefits" arrangement. Very little emphasis on the friend’s part. Alexa couldn’t stand Rhys 90% of the time. His smug arrogance, player reputation and need to flirt with any and all women drove her crazy. But the sex was so good it was hard to say no.

Rhys wanted Alexa from the second he saw her. Maybe he only wanted her in his bed at first but the more he got to know her, the more he wanted of her. Her sassy mouth, bratty attitude and strangely enough, her warm heart. When Rhys thinks Alexa is breaking off their arrangement, he’s quick to end it himself. The truth of the situation was more shocking than the fact that he was falling for her.

Now they both have to grow up and see if the thing they need most is each other or a bigger line drawn in the sand. The real question is, can he go from total Jackass to relationship material?

Thanks to Carla.R,the author, for gifting me a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review

18+ only

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books of the series which were also my first 2 books of 2021,I was eager and very much excited to read this.
I loved the concept of second chance in this book and I was swooning from the moment it started.

The way the author has spoken of Rhys' past as a ladies' man and his douche self in his POV in a single chapter was praiseworthy because it not only gave me an insight into why the book is so titled but also sort of helped him redeem himself in my eyes after he grew up and matured well over the story.
I somehow didn't feel Rhys to be a jackass but he was a dream boyfriend to me after the initial assh**ery.

I love books with babies and this is one such story which begins with an unexpected pregnancy so I was thrilled to read it🙈
The way it was shown that her brother wasn't okay with Alexa being preggo out of wedlock but being a supportive brother and later on,doting Uncle, melted my heart. It shows that there's definitely, initial disappointment/judgement which has become second nature to us(although it isn't right)

Alexa stood up for herself when she punched Hunter and I immensely enjoyed her not being a damsel in distress, which somehow reminded me of our Badass,Molly🦸‍♀️

The manipulative and crazy mother that Alexa has got is something I have seen some of my friends deal with so I can say that this was written well too.Drew finally stood up for his relationship with his children was nice.

The possessive alpha male vibes to Rhys didn't sit well with me because majority of his character was a sweet boyfriend and a doting dad.I get it,I really do,but I personally felt that was off.

The ending left me crying coz...Sammy😭

Overall it was a great read.

4/5⭐ (needs a bit more of editing)
5/5/🔥(inexplicable🥵)

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.
========================

Standing on the sidewalk outside the salon was an angry mob of women. Women I had slept with. Women who I had slept with and never called again. Leading the charge was Destiny, the last woman I had slept with and the most recently scorned.

They chanted, “Rhys Dragon is a pig!” over and over.

Facebook page. It was a group that had been started, a few weeks before, that was named, “I was screwed by Rhys Dragon and it wasn’t that good.”

The Facebook group was private, but I could see that there were sixty-three members.

I don’t blame these women for being angry with me. I blame my good looks and my big dick.

“This has to be a joke. I don’t remember her.” “Could you really pick out every woman you’ve ever slept with?”

The wait is almost here. It seemed like forever since I read book two and was left waiting for book three...Alexa and Rhys story.

Carla does not disappoint. I thought book two was my favorite but this one is my newest favorite in this series. If you love romance and witty humor than, you are going to love this book.

Alexa and Rhys are probably the most damaged out of all of the characters but they are each other's rock. I really felt the emotions running through the pages of this story. Every time that Rhys was holding Caraleigh my heart just melted. Just because there were tender moments does not mean that this is a "sweet" book. No, it is sweet but sweet and very spicy hot!

Can we talk about the ending and the cliff hanger that author, Clara left me with. Uh, I am going to need book four stat.

What happens when you agree to be FWB (friends w/ benefits) nothing good. Alexa and Rhys have such an intense connection that leads to a huge blow up when they find out she is pregnant.

When they have a bundle of joy they put aside their disdain for each other and co-parent. But with Alexa she is kind of a hard a$$ towards Rhys. I think she needs to take a chill pill.

Rhys takes it badly that he is having a kid but a coming to moment with his family he steps up to help raise his baby.

These two both have baggage but that is what makes this such an awesome read. The steam is off the charts and you will love this story. I totally love how everyone is so in love with the baby.

This is a must read you will enjoy.

First let me get this out of my chest…….
STOP THROWING SH*T AT SAMMY!!!
Seriously…. give her a break! 😢

With that out of my chest, let me just say how much I loved Rhys character. After seeing him in the previous story I thought for sure I would kind of dislike him at first and then learn to like him. But it wasn’t like that at all.

Rhys and Alexa have to work through their issues, but together they are 🔥

There are more stories coming from this series, right?
It has too because we still need Sammy’s HEA 🤣 and also, I would love to see the outcome for Lorraine.

And is Mase getting a story too? I’m still mad at him!!!!! And was H….. your first choice for Alexa?
I’m kind of wondering who you had in mind! 🤔

I received an ARC copy of this story, through StoryOrigin, and this is my voluntary review.

Surprising and Sweet

I loved this book just as much as I loved the ones before it! It's always beautiful to see characters you love grow and find happiness on their own.
Of course, like her other books, there's always a bombshell or 10 in there to throw you for a loop and keep you on your toes! I will be eagerly awaiting for the next installment and anything else this lovely author comes up with! Her books are sweet, spicy, full of humor, and are insanely relatable!
If you haven't read this series yet, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

*****5 So So Good Stars*****
I love this series and it took me by surprise. I can't wait to read more. Carla R. is an new author for me and I took to the first 2 book really quick because they were good reads. Rhys and Alexa's story is beautiful ride. It wasn't easy at first but when it finally came together it turned out to be spectacular. I love how each book ends with a preview of what's next and I can't wait because I have some ideas floating around in my head that I hope play out.

Been eagerly anticipating Rhys and Alexa’s story since THAT cliffy at the end of Sweet Ass.

Yes, Rhys is a jackass - at first. He’s a massive player with notches on his bedpost it looks like a beaver gnawed it off.

When his casual, friends with bene arrangement with Alexa falls apart, he goes off the deep end. Luckily it’s not for long and he steps up to the plate to become a pretty awesome dad.

But with things settled in his life, his drunken playboy ways behind him, and a friendship struck up with Alexa he begins to want what he never thought he wanted - a committed relationship with Alexa and a full time dad to their kid.

But will Alexa want it, too? She trusts him as a father to their daughter but as a life partner? If it blows up they lose the friendly relationship they have built.

Both these characters, I admit, were immature to start with. They had so much pride and were constantly trying to guess the others intentions that it went tits up fast. I enjoyed their relationship as co-parents and navigating their feelings for each other.
There was a bit of drama in it with Alexa umming and ahhing over her feelings and entertaining a certain someone who was

Rhys and Alexa have a love/hate relationship but decide to be friends with benefits, until some unexpected news come their way. Rhys shows his true colors in the first chapter by being the douchebag he is but the more you read the more he proves himself to be an honorable lovable man. They he treated Alexa during the time he took to mature and the way he was with Caraleigh stole my heart. These two may be cut from different cloths but you can see they are meant to be if only they can stop a second and realize their hate is really disguised as love. I love all these characters and can’t wait to see what is in store next. I was happy when Alexa stood up for herself or more stood for Rhys time and time again because deep down, he was an incredible guy that was misunderstood and scared.

I love Alexa. She is sarcastic, quirky and fun. The Bombshell girls are the type of friends every girl needs and the Dragon men are the type every girl craves. Rhys is somewhat of the black sheep of the Dragon family. I think we all know a guy like Rhys; he’s good looking and knows it. He has an ego the size of a house. The love story of Alexa and Rhys is not an emotional rollercoaster, but it is definitely not without drama.

Carla writes stories that are realistic and relatable. The storyline and situations are something that everyday people like you and me face in life. The characters are everyday people. No billionaires. No special forces. No supermodels. Just everyday people facing everyday issues. The sex is hot. The love story is heartwarming and enviable.

I've loved Carla's writing since the first bombshell series book (Badass) and I have been desperate for book three in the bombshell series since the cliffhanger of book two! It did not disappoint! This book was definitely worth the wait! I loved everything about it!

The book starts right where book two ended and then there is a little time jump. I wasn't expecting it to time jump, but I am here for it!

The chemistry between Alexa and Rhys was fire! And I loved how they finally came together. The tension between them was something else.

The storyline and plot was incredible. The characters; both main and secondary, loved them! The journey that the characters and story takes you, well I wish they could take me with them!

I laughed, I smiled, my heart dropped, and I had all the feels. I loved everything about this book. I get so lost in the bombshell world and never want to leave!

I 100% recommend that you read this book (and the rest of the series if you haven't read it already)!

Love It!!

This was very different from the others. Rhys and Alexis were kind of between enemy to lover and friends to lover. I know weird but it worked and I love that it didn’t really follow the formula most romance books often do. A very nice change of pace with plenty of drama and fun seggy times.

Can’t wait for the next one.

Alexa is so much fun and knows just how to draw someone in… except Rhys! I was excited to read this book but it left me craving more about the Bombshell crew in general. I laughed, cried like a baby, loved everyone and felt my heartstrings pull.

A beautifully messy romance

I am falling more in love with these characters as I read these books. They are going to take you on a rollercoaster of emotions so be prepared. I gave it four stars because there was quite a bit of errors in the book.
