The criminal code is there for a reason… cross the line at your peril.

‘Crossed Lines’ is the sequel to ‘County Lines’, the page turning crime-fiction drama by CJ Wood.

Following his failed attempt to murder a rogue associate, Jason Hamilton wound up incarcerated in Strangeways, HMP Manchester. But doing time is just an occupational hazard for Hamilton. He has the reputation and tenacity to cope well inside. Also, he isn’t planning on staying long …

Driven by revenge against the under-cover cop who nicked him Hamilton has to decide whether he can trust his organised crime group associates and bent solicitor Frank Burton or whether he needs to take matters into his own hands.

Meanwhile, DI Andrea Statham is determined to crack two murder cases, and all the clues lead back to Hamilton. Now she’s watching and waiting for his next move?

But will Hamilton’s next move be the last line he crosses … or will he succeed?

This continues the story started in CJ Wood's debut novel, County Lines, it features the same characters, but can be read as a standalone without missing out anything vital. It is another good read, slightly repetitive in places - something which would benefit from a wee bit of editing, plus there were still some typos and oddities that need sorting in the text, but overall a good tale well told. I am now looking forward to book 3 from CJ Wood.

I read Chris his first book County lines and absolutely loved it ! And crossed lines is in my eyes even better. This book has some great twist and turns and you can tell that the author was a former Detective. This was a sequel but you can read both books as stand alone....but why would you ! 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me....when is your next book out ! ❤📚
