Can Jack untangle the murderous web of lies and solve the case before he gets trapped in the killer’s deadly scheme?
Murder in the San Juans is a gripping tale of betrayal in the formidable San Juan Mountains around Telluride, Colorado, and the fourth book in the suspenseful Mountain Resort Mystery Series.
Shannon Work writes traditional mysteries set in the Rocky Mountains and Texas. The Mountain Resort Mystery Series features detective Jack Martin, a former FBI agent from Texas who now solves murders committed in the most exclusive resort towns in Colorado, including Aspen, Vail, and Telluride.
Shannon grew up in Del Rio, a border town in the dusty wilds of West Texas. When she graduated from high school, she moved east to College Station and graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a master's degree in Land Economics and Real Estate.
Most of her working life has been spent developing real estate, earning a national Best in America Living Award for one of her developments.
Shannon and her husband are recent empty nesters and split their time between Houston, Texas and Telluride, Colorado. Always with their three rescue dogs in tow!
This book was awesome! It started off with a plane crash and kept my attention throughout the book. When I read a mystery, usually I have some idea of who did it but this time the author kept me guessing. It was a quick read with all the loose ends tied up, which I like.
Another fun, don’t want to put down mystery by Shannon Work. I really enjoyed the characters, some old and some new. I kept guessing who did it till the very end. I’m ready for the next Jack and Crockett adventure.
This is the fourth book in the Mountain Retreat Mysteries. Detective Jack Martin is on another case in the Mountains of Colorado. The books are always fun and this one is no different. A great mystery novel with plenty of twists.
Just like the twists and turns of the roads in the Rockies, Work takes her audience on a journey to uncover the mystery and beauty of the San Juan Mountains.
