Things We Do For Love!
Listen this read was all over the place. I loved it all, Jaya just couldn't catch a break! She was young and that Trap Star molded her into what he wanted her to be then her best friend crossed her in the worst way! Neither one deserves her trust, loyalty or love. Thankfully she had her cousin, best friend, brother Shawnie to help her.
Shawnie had his on mess he was dealing with, he being a man had been hurt so he did what most men did, and that was to go through women at his desire. Dejah loved Shawnie and she wanted his all, he felt he couldn't give her everything she wanted because his heart still belonged to Keisha his first everything. Unfortunately, for him and her she didn't look into what she thought was true and went on her way. Only to find out what she thought was true wasn't.
Tommy was a snake a snake a snake. He was so jealous of Shawnie and Keisha that he did the most devious thing he could've done. Now, though Keisha has realized her mistake with Shawnie is it to late? Because Shawnie has finally allowed Dejah in his heart and he's beginning to see her for the woman that loves him, is loyal, and will stand ten toes down with him so he wants his future with her or does he?
What is going on with Ice? I think he is on the up and up but why won't this Trinity girl just sit down? Here's my question though is she really pregnant? Or is it even Ice baby if she is?
I want to be team Keisha and Shawnie, but I also don't want Dejah hurt because she is truly a great girl.

Why is he so agenst ice relationship with his daughter? Something is up with jeja his dad and he was the one who put ol girl up to calling ice phone saying to come home trying to break his daughter and ice up. Why tho? And then there is dejah yes she is a good girl even good girls have a bad side and have secrets i think dejah is hiding somethingni don't trust her' but shaawnie will find out but it will be to late to get keyshia back because she would have moved on with her life just he did. I got to 20% and just had to let it go, between the errors and the immaturity I just can’t. I already don’t like Jaya she seems really dumb to me and I haven’t even gotten far in the story. Like why are you not out looking for work to get yourself together? U talking about how small your cousin apt is, but you homeless. Shawnie is such a female name and I hate it for a male character. He was rude, ignorant, and really not a likable character. I was really excited to read the story due to him leaving the streets alone, but i don’t even like his character. Why did keisha not leave and go home, why did she even go to his house? Then he leaves out his room from having sex with another woman and take a ride with keisha, but he didn’t even wash up or nothing. Like I feel like a teenager wrote this book. I just can’t go through with it.

This is actually a good book but everyone is all over the damn place. Jaya I like her but she’s a little immature sometimes. Her father, idk about him tho he’s giving me snake vibes. Keisha, I like her too but she can stay where she is, I get what happened but she should have communicated with Shawnie before fucking off with Tommy now she’s off somewhere in her feelings and calling out the blue wanting to finally reveal what Tommy said. Nah boo, we appreciate you but leave Shawnie alone he’s happy. I like that for Shawnie, Deja seemed like a sweet girl and stands by her man. Ice, wtf he always in some ishhhh, now this bitch Trinity coming out of no where on some fuck shit ruining Jaya’s reveal.

Shawnie is definitely Bae!!! I love all of the thug in him! He does not play at all. I love how he is there for Jaya. And Jaya…she needs to listen to her dad and Shawnie more. She asks a little too naive when it comes to these men. They might be a little overprotective, but they love her. And I cannot stand Ice. I wish Kesha would’ve told Shawnie about Tommy before she left…or at least told Jaya. Now he has real feelings for Dejah. But I think I would rather he end up with Kesha. Siren said she was gonna take me on a rollercoaster ride with this one and I'm ready to get my ticket for the next ride. Off jump I was ready to beat Trap Star and Alisha's azz, but little did I know I would have to add a couple more people to the list. Ion know what Trinity on but baby girl got some 💩 with her I believe. I hope Ice ain't backtrack on Jaya. Shawnie and Dejah was irking me. I guess cause I'm just team Keisha. Disappointed and Irritated
It’s hard to read because the main guys, Ice and Shawnie stay calling their female relatives the “B” word. I know they’re supposed to be hood and ghetto but to call your little sisters and little cousin “B*tches,” is not cool. It’s downright disrespectful and they do it throughout the whole book. Also, it’s a cliffhanger but I don’t feel like much happened in book 1. Some things felt irrelevant. So I have to decide on if I’m going to bale out of this series now or suffer through the disrespect in book 2.

The first chapter Jaya had my attention very much so, and also the next chapter with Shawnie, but when Keisha's chapter came it lost me. The part where she was on stage and the DJ played her song and after the first few lines of the song the crowd was in a uproar, that just wasn't giving me stripper club vibes. More like a club or concert but I may finish reading not sure, yet.

Well I was all in to the drama with Trap Star and Jaya. The love triangle with Jaya ,Trinity ,and Ice. Or the Romeo and Juliet scenario with Shawnie, Keshia,and Deja.
