I was always one to break the rules. But when my old man told me to stay away from Addison and to never blur the lines of my friendship with her. I took his word as law. That was before prison. Before I realised. If I didn’t make a move, someone else would. So, was I going to play it safe and keep a friendship with her? Or risk it on the chance she felt more for me? Guess when it came down to it. I looked at my old man’s law of not making a move on her as all society’s laws. . . breakable. ✓ Best friends to Lovers ✓ Happy Ever After ✓ Standalone Novel ⚠ This book focuses on the love story between Trey and Addison and not the club. ⚠ British Spelling
I feel like I’m 12 again reading some cringey shit from a non published author. The communication was terrible, from his first POV he claims he likes her so much and he wants to be with her romantically. Then at 70% in she finds him in bed with 2 naked women drugged after he’s ignored her for 2 weeks because he’s been ‘busy’… And he doesn’t apologise for it?! Mind you she’s had interest from guys but wasn’t allowed to pursue them because Trey wanted her so badly?
After 3 months of no contact she takes up a job offer and decides to move, he finds out and marches over there and has an epiphany and realise he’s loves her LMFAOOOO
Doesn’t apologise for the OW drama but then asks her to marry him?? 😂😂😂😂😂 help, I’m literally dying. She said yes?! 😂
I stopped reading at that point.
What in the fuckery was that? There was so many plot inconsistencies, it drove me insane.
I thought I would like this book but the writing was just too poor. I’m not just talking about the grammatical errors. There were so many inconsistencies. Spoilers! Like the fact that in the beginning he is so against “ice” but then he is using it. She says she has a drug problem but it’s never mentioned again and suddenly she hates that he does drugs. She catches him in bed with 2 girls after he told her she couldn’t have sex with Drago and she still marries him. This book and its characters just didn’t feel like they were well thought out. Almost felt like it was written by an insecure 13 year old. This is the quality I expect from Wattpad not a book.
okay so listen. I enjoyed it even though it can be better written. Lets start from the beginning.
ADDISON
she was great. kind of. what I didnt like and it was frustrating me was that she was sooooo BLIND. like you dont get the memos that guys like you and are hitting on you and shit?? even when its your boss which you dont like you dont get two and two together???
over all she was a good gal and I get why she didnt tell Trey everything because like she said. Some Things Cant Be Written.
TREY
my boy. I liked him soo much. he left prison and get was he was missing and was determined to get her.
ALSO BUT. when she tells him her next partner should love her through every single decision she make and he tells her he do( spoiler: SHE DIDNT GET THE MEMO HES IN LOVE WITH HER).. he then decides to propose to her to get her to stay a still didnt tell her fully how he feels and all shit we get in proper romance books?
also I was kind of mad that they didnt tell him shit about what happened in the two years he was gone.
also I thought that he would get to his dad and tells him to fuck off because he was fucking with his life, telling him he cant have anything with Addison(because of what??) there were moments where I thought that he just quit doing the "bikers business" and just be free and I kind of thought he leave with her. that would be better ending for me.
SO OVERALL it was great story with for me bad decisions made which could end in overall better book. but Im not judging, Im not a writer and if the writer feels great about this story then its good. I still read it and enjoyed it and this is just my opinion!!

I was not a fan of this book. I’m really disappointed. The prompt was great but the execution was not good. The beginning was good but then it went downhill. I liked Drogo tbh. But anyways the Main guy was just too bad for me. I didn’t like them together. It felt forced and seems like their was parts missing like it didn’t make sense. The description also says this book doenst focus on the club which I was happy about but upon reading it still is very involved. Not my favorite dark romance. There are better ones. The only good thing is that this book was short so it was over quickly. I wouldn’t recommend this book. 2/5
I’m usually all about leaving good reviews, and I barely ever leave bad ones, but I just had to review this. I don’t understand how it’s rated higher, when there’s so many errors in the grammar, first of all. Second, is it seems like their both just clueless dummies in every single way when their around each other. Her working situation isn’t practical, and she made it very confusing and hard to understand what was actually a double shift or a triple or what. It was overkill, and again, it didn’t make much sense. The two main characters are seriously childish, selfish, unaware, and don’t really even think, and they pretty much just overreact to just about anything that’s said to them. It doesn’t seem like their in their twenties, it seems like their just hitting puberty. Every character is written out choppy, like they weren’t given much thought they were just thrown in. It was very frustrating, and I didn’t even make it half way through before I had to give up because it was making me more frustrated that I wasn’t enjoying what seemed like a good story line. The idea of it was great, but the execution felt rushed, the characters didn’t seem to fit their supposed roles, seems like there was no actual effort to even spell check, or go through and proof read after. Very disappointing for me personally.
Honestly, disappointed. It was really rushed. They didn't actually talk about anything.
This isn't like a brand new plot, but this needs to be developed further. Characters need to be fleshed out better. They have zero depth. Scenes needed to be longer.
FMC kept playing fucking dumb. Dude kisses you, and you guys almost hook up in his pool. She still wanted to say she didn't know the mmc was actually interested in her as more than a friend???????? Like what a dumbass.
MMC needed to stand up honestly. She was fucking with his feelings most of the time. Then randomly in the middle he fucks 2 girls and she catches him (they weren't together).
So much was just rushed through to finish the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of this book, it was captivating - detailed and a good pace. The climax felt out of character and out of place in the novel, giving no context to the situation and in later chapters it was glossed over and not really mentioned, no solution or explanation. The ending was just as good as the beginning, though it felt rushed. I feel like I needed another 100 pages of details and conversations to truly understand what was happening in both their minds. I loved the idea of this book, but with that climax and not getting enough of the information to feel like the FMM did, it truly left me needing more to understand….
Addison has got to be one of the most daft FMC I have come across in a while. I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt but it was no use. She just continued to disappoint. She is the stereotypical beautiful girl who doesn't realise she is beautiful even though she has men fighting over her the entire book. The writing lacked tension during what were some intense scenes that had potential but fell flat. DNF because I became so frustrated with Addison. For a nurse she is not very smart or observant.
There are just so many random things mentioned and never referenced again.
Apparently the dads both threatened him to stay away from her. Why? And why doesnt it matter now?
She mentions she has a drug addiction that isn't looked well upon. What?
He apparently gets super high and bangs two girls and when she walks in on him he claims it isn't what it seems and yet admits he did it later but they never really talk about it? That's just... cool?
Apparently he does drugs and she's okay with him continuing them? Since when?
I was really into this book in the beginning then it just abruptly was over & the ending was horrible! I was really hoping for some character development from our main characters, not the side characters (Drago & Brett). Also explaining some of the randomly touched upon issues would have been nice. A few more chapters & a little more development (& someone checking grammar errors) I think this could have been a decent book but it just wasn’t. Also Trey starts out with blonde hair in chapters 1 & then like 2 chapters later he has black hair? Idk that annoyed me
The writing errors, the random parts that never get resolved. For example, the MFCs dad takes off another biker gangs foot, and it's this big fight that he started a war, but then nothing is ever spoken about it again. He sleeps with 2 OW and then goes 3 months, not talking to him, showing up at her house proposing, and her saying yes? They literally didn't even talk about it at all!
Honestly, I'm sorry, but this book wasn't good and is the exact reason im thankful I own a Kindle, so I didn't waste my money buying a physical copy.

I really wanted to like this book. I thought the pre,use was good and when I read the blub it sounded great. The book itself did not live up to the expectations I had for it. It seemed like the story jumped around with little context and there was I for, action left out that was never fully explained. Also the character development was lacking for me. I didn’t feel connected to any one character in this book. Overall, it was a good premise but not something that ever ca,e full circle for me.
Not a fan. I’ve never read a book I’ve given less than 3 stars to before but I just did not like Trey and his dynamic with Addison. I’m all for controlling men but he literally cheated on her and treated her like an object. I’m also only convinced he finally fell in love with her because she was the first girl he saw when he was trapped in prison for 2 years so he fixated on her after she got hot while he was away. Loved Addisons dad tho, he was the real star of the show.
Okay I like the cheating trope and I love drama. This had great potential however it’s way too rushed. He literally convinced her to give him a shot and for her not sleep with someone who treated her better, just to sleep with not one but two club girls. She blocked him we have two time jumps of a two month span and boom married. HUH. Absolutely not. Didn’t even mention the club girls no real apologies no conversation nothing.

****spoilers***** Not gonna lie, I feel like she would have been better off with Drego. Especially after he cheated and yes it was cheating he told everyone in the room that she was his and that she was with him and then turned around and hooked up with those chicks. He was so selfish and yeah he may have realized what he was loosing in the end but she deserved someone who knew her worth from the beginning.
When I say this is the most trash piece of writing I’ve ever read I am not lying. Please for the sake of your sanity do not attempt this god awful collection of words. Save yourself. I only gave it one star to warn you of the terrible waste of time ahead. If you choose to read this do not be surprised if you need therapy or need to relearn first grade English since apparently the author needs help with it too. I warned you.
Spoilers ahead. There wasn’t too much depth with the characters and there wasn’t really any bondable moments for the two. By the end I was actually hoping she would leave him and follow her dreams because of how toxic he was. The one steamy scene in the book was a big let down as well. Overall it was a quick read but not the best.
In my mind, Drago and Addison are together. The way it should be.
To be blunt, this needs a lot of work. Every aspect of this book lacked depth, conviction, and thought.
Trey is out of prison and faces the shock of his life when he realizes his best friend, Addison, is attractive now! She's going to mother him for the entirety of the book, he's going to be absolutely insufferable, she's going to make big fusses and then lose all backbone, and then they're going to live happily ever after!
Trey was just awful. He was just so whiny, immature, and annoying. He had the gumption of a run-over shoe. He truly was his daddy's little bitch.
Addison was fine, but just so boring. She had the personality and integrity of a wet cardboard box.
While poor writing generally doesn't deter me from finishing or reading, it is definitely something I take note of, and there were so many problems here. From detail discrepancies and spelling errors to wrong words/phrases and other grammatical errors. It was distracting and sloppy.
Drago and his relationship with Addison was the singular best part of this story.
The man cared for her, protected her, and loved her better than Trey ever could. She was the only person to call him Charlie, his real name, and he was the only person she consistently found safety and solace in. He put aside his pride when she picked Trey and only wanted her to be cared for. He's the best choice for her.
Tell me again, why in the ever-loving fuck did she end up with shit-for-brains, daddy's little bitch Trey???
I really like the stories this author writes, but it seems like she doesn’t proof read or work or pay someone else to. There are grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and just completely using the wrong words with the wrong meaning. Please start proof reading!
The FMC is frustratingly clueless at times. The miscommunication is heavy. As well as a love triangle of sorts (the fmc wouldn’t call it that - bc clueless). This left a lot to be desired, too much of their connection is established before the story begins that it’s tough to connect to their story.
DNF at 14% I just couldn't. The writing is fanfiction quality but I was trying to look past it. However, by the time Trey comes to visit Addison at the hospital and she describes him as black haired, I was done. You know why? He has blonde hair at the beginning. You just can't let that slide because you know you're wasting your time after that.
Story line was great. But it felt rushed at times. FMC was very over dramatic. I liked that even though he messed up she put him through hell. There’s not a lot of spice. It’s all close door romance. I honestly thought it was a cute read but the story had no dialogue, no plot other than her leaving and him begging her to stay.
I initially liked the plot but it kinda fell flat when they didn't mention the rival biker gang again after halfway through the book. I read it on KU and there were a lot of grammatical mistakes and typos. The FMC is insufferable. If you like a yearning MMC, this book is for you. The yearning is the main positive for this book.
Addison shoudn't be whit Tray. First beacuse she deserve someting better and second cause he was an ass. Telling her what to do when he wasn't her boyfriend, fack*ng NOT ONE BUT TWO WOMAN, being possesive over a Addison who is NOT HIS and can do what ever the fack she want, treating her like a trophy and I can go on and on.
The story line was lacking, and the HEA unbelievable. The spelling, grammar and punctuation was also horrendous, and probably the worst I’ve ever seen. This one just wasn’t for me.
I won’t lie, the story is great. The emotions come across very well. But seeing just how many mistakes there are in the typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar.. it’s awful. It was physically painful to read.
It had the potential, but was just done too fast. The storyline was there, but it was just done and over with very fast. It ended abruptly. Quick read, took less than 2 hours to read the entire thing. Was very disappointed with it.
Motorcycle gang guy gets out of prison, his childhood best friend and him become close again, they fall in love, rush to get married. And then they live happily ever after. There are like volcano sized holes in the plot. Dads hate the relationship, they don’t dabble on why. She abruptly finishes her MD, but like, how in one year. It makes no sense. The epilogue gives no answers to anything. It’s short, and disappointing. You’ll hate it. I hated it.

This story draws you in, and holds tight. It’s hard not to want to yell at both Trey and Addison for not being honest with each other, but at the same time you just root for them to come to their senses.
When I saw how much pages this book had I knew it wasn’t going to be good, but I was in a reading slump and needing something fast and straight to the point. Book has potential just needs lots of work.
