In “Maxed Out” Tabitha Rhodes, a secretary/assistant in NYC, makes ends meet by working online as a dominatrix. It’s not work she loves, but the money’s good so she finds herself online one Friday night with a familiar face. After that, the tension and steamy fun begin as Tabitha and Maxwell explore the world of financial domination.
The role of financial domination, and the power dynamic it sets up, makes this story a unique take on the billionaire story. So you get a clever plot and a ridiculously sexy billionaire—damn good deal in my book. The character of Tabitha will resonate with a lot of readers as someone trying to make her way in the world and work out how she can do that without comprising herself.
Additionally, there were moments for each of the leads, Tabitha and Max, that made me pause in reading to reflect on how much I liked something the character did. And then I immediately got back to the story. It will keep you turning the pages without a doubt.
My issues with the story, and the reasons for the missing star, are few. There were a few typos that interrupted the story for me along with the occasional awkward sentence or pacing. Altogether, none of these errors prevented me from enjoying the story.
As a final note: I went into this expecting Tabitha to really take on the role of a financial dominant, but it’s more a story of exploring that fetish. This isn’t a mark against the story—just a note on my own silliness that will hopefully prevent others from having the same misconception.
In the end, I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a sexy romance and especially to any fans of billionaires and those interested in learning about a kink that’s not so well-known.

This fun, sexy story is about naughty sometimes-dominatrix Tabitha and handsome CEO Max, an unwitting match made in heaven. Tabitha works at Max's company, and she's working as a dominatrix cam girl just to make ends meet. Max calls her into his office with a proposition that no girl would ever turn down, and it turns steamy from there. Plus, there's a romantic ending!
It's a spicy, a little sweet, and definitely a great read. The writing is good, and the book is very well edited. Five out of five!
