Not the best. The conflict that drove the plot seemed really contrived and unnecessary. There was not enough of the “professional listener” plot line, which is sad, because the overall premise was really fun and if the author had just stuck with that premise, it probably would have been a more focused and engaging book.
Also, it had a little too much talk about parties and teen pregnancy for a book about 12 year olds.

It is a sort of silly fun book. But I'm sure it must have been stimulating something in ma mind cuz when the book ended, I found myself screaming "Why did it end here!?!?". The book is about a little teenage girl and her problems as well as the problems of the people around here. The notes she received were fun to read. The author was writing real good and then BAM! She stopped! She could have wrote a little more-at least on chapter more. I guess, the fact that I'm pining for more is a sure testimony to the fact that this book is good. No great literature or great story line there bro, like I said, it is a silly fun book!

This book had a lot of flaws. The main character's "transformation" was contrived and unbelievable, which is probably because her "problems" to begin with weren't a big deal. The book suffered from a major lack of subtlety--I felt like I was being beat over the head the whole time. I don't think Ms. Warner gives her young readers enough credit. I did think one thing was well-done, though, the comparison between Quinney and Toby was nicely understated. There were a few nice moments in the actual writing, but none in the story. The setup of the book had a lot of potential, but the romance fell flat, and the ending fell flat. It never drew me in, I never cared, I didn't take anything away from it. I know I'm not the intended audience, but I'm not far off, and I enjoy a lot of middle grade fiction. It was simply a boring book.

This book is a judy blume. While i read it i could not help myself from comparing to "Are you there god it's me Margaret". This is about a girl, who gives good advice, so good, that she advertises as a professional listener. she ends up saving a marriage, making a relationship, and meeting her crush, through her business. her 2 BFFs detest each other and then when it comes to saving someone from a possible ER trip or keeping Total Confidentiality, she must make the ultimate decision...

the book is about a confused thirteen year-old girl....who was not that happy with her life....but things kinda got interesting for her....but i would say the book was a ok...but while it ended i felt dom cause i wanted the writer to write more cause i felt it had a not that complete ending.....until and unless u put it in your own words......but can say a totally young teenage book...and it was fun reading it....
