Indiscretion

Rate this book
Rock Princess. That's what they call me. At least, that's what everyone knew me as when I was a little girl. The media’s favorite girl to watch on stage at her daddy’s shows.

Ainsley James Dylan. Daughter to the legend himself—Axel Dylan—AKA, The Rock God. Also known as The Groupie Slayer and lead singer of the band Viper.

When I was young, my dad was my idol. Now I know better and I’m done with that life. At least I had the chance to move on with my mom. I’ve left my music in the past where it belongs, along with the memories of a dad who failed his daughter too many times.

Little did I know that after years of laying low and hiding from the media, I’d be found by my lost childhood friends—the sons of my fathers band members.

As kids, we were inseparable. I still to this day dream about the boys I miss and the friendships I’d lost. Only now they aren’t boys, but men, and we’re all going to the same university and they don’t want to be my friend. They want to make me pay for leaving them behind. They say the only way I can make it up to them is to join their band and be the very thing I despise—A Rock Princess.

It was alright, but I would have much preferred preferred more of a ficus on music over suicide. It seemed like suicide and self harm were discussed on nearly every page, and I nearly dropped the book over it. I think the author's note says the book "touches on" these topics, but I'd say that's a pretty big understatement.

Indiscretion was a very surprising book for me. I wasn't expecting that level of feelings. It discusses several heavy topics such as mental health issues, suicide, self harm, drug addiction, depression and a few others. Be sure to read the trigger warnings beforehand. If you do decide to read the book, you are in for an incredibly touching story full of love and redemption. Every single one of these characters have their own issues that they are overcoming for the sake of their love and relationship. Ainslyn and her guys (Dexter, Ezra, Cyan, Rebel and Phoenix) are children of famous rockstars. As they grew up together, they developped romantic feelings. That is until Ainslyn and her mother left and just disappear from everyone's radar, which initiated a downward spiral for her and the guys. About 7 years later and a traumatic accident, the guys decide to find Ainslyn and get her back into their lives, and their music. The whole music angle is very important in Indescretion and I wouldn't say it's my favorite theme, but I was pleasantly suprised to see how well it turned out. It's woven into the story so well, intricately even, and it's an integral part of the characters, not just a simple setting for the book. If you want to read a touching story full of feelings where you can get lost between the pages, this book is for you.

OH.MY.GOSH!

I can’t even fully comprehend words right now y’all…this book was beautiful, raw and real. Ainsley is a truly beautiful character. Trying to put happiness and light out into the world despite her own turmoil raging under the surface. She’s such a pure soul, that is truly magical to see.

And Ainsley’s men…all such wonderful men, broken and lost after Ainsley’s departure. But actively working to better themselves for their selves, each other and Ainsley. The chemistry, love, passion and devotion between them all is unfiltered and real in every way. You can feel the soul deep emotions running though in all they do and say.

This book deals with some very heavy topics, but it is all done so delicately, with that raw and real heaviness underlining. Reading this book took a part of my soul with it. Ali D. Jensen’s words spoke to me, made me feel everything, made me hurt and feel hope. The story so authentic with each word written.

No spoilers, I promise…but that freaking ending!!! Man oh man, I’m going to be a tightly wound mess awaiting the next part of this story, but damn will it be worth it.

Indiscretion is an absolutely incredible book!! The MC, Ainsley, is a college student and daughter to a famous rock star and grew up with the band until her tween to teen years. She was raised along side her best friends and loves, the other band mates kid's. A divorce between her parents and a move across the country to start her life over changes the course of all their lives. This book gets into some very heavy and deep topics of substance abuse and mental health challenges that all of the characters have experienced. Please heed the trigger warnings as this book gets very heavy. The topics were handled extremely well and I am so proud of how the author addressed these issues. Indiscretion has taken me on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I felt love, anxiety, relief and fear. The character development and plot are great, the chemistry between the characters was outstanding and this book ends on a huge cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next book to come out as I am very emotionally invested. Well done Ali D. Jensen!!!

Indiscretion is a reverse harem rockstar romance but it is not what you would typically expect from this genre. Yes, it touches on binges of sex, drugs and rock and roll but it also deals with the repercussions and mental health struggles that come from these battles and lifestyle.

Indiscretion is the story of the children of a band of rockstars who spent their formative years together and then were torn apart when they were fourteen. Each of the characters in this story dealt with the separation differently and even though the book is written mostly from Ainsley, The Rock Princess’s perspective you do learn what occurred in all of their lives. These characters are written beautifully and sensitively, their connections and stories capturing you as you read. As the book advanced the plot builds and is full of suspense and tension and I was so enraptured that I totally missed that this is a duet. I am now waiting on a cliffhanger until January 2023 but I am crossing everything that the release is pushed forward.

Indiscretion is an emotional, steamy and heart-rending rockstar romance and you will definitely need tissues to dry your tears and a strong heart to hold you over ‘til book two.

Surprisingly Emotion

Ainsley is the daughter of a famous Rockstar, and grew up with the sons of his band mates. After her mother left with her, she's been separated from her guys for nearly a decade. Now they're back in her life and want to stay there. But years have passed, and things have changed. Can they all truly be together?

Please read the trigger warnings! There are quite a few, including self harm, addiction and mental health issues.
This book hit me in the heart! I wasn't expecting such an emotional story that just evokes strong emotions from you. The author does a great job in portraying hard topics with ease and precision. You feel the characters pain and can understand completely what they are going through.
I loved the connection between all of the characters and the backstory for their romance. Kids growing up and falling in love together is one of my favorite tropes, and the author gave us a fantastic story with it.

This book blew me away. I went in blind as I often do, and I wasn’t ready.

Ainsley is a ball of sunshine for the world, as it helps her get thru her days. She left her entire world behind, and left pieces that she never got back. But things have changed. They’re both more and less complicated because all of those feelings that she’s kept bottled inside don’t stand a chance.

Her boys are back, and they won’t take no for an answer. Ainsley is scared, excited, and shocked that they found her. There’s so much misunderstanding, so much unknown, and this is the story of acceptance. Acceptance for what isn’t in your power to change, acceptance that some days are just hard, acceptance that sometimes you’re going to mess up.

This book is a rollercoaster, and in true Ali fashion, you won’t be ready for how it ends. I absolutely adored their story and I can’t wait for more.

Amazing Written

⚠️ REVIEW MIGHT CONTAINER SOME POSSIBLE TRIGGERS AND SPOILERS ⚠️

This book really spoke to me. Not so much with the famous aspect but the self harm. Many of the characters in the story suffer from suicidal thoughts and self harm. This spoke to me because I’ve also went through those things.
I was also very excited to see that AJ volunteers with a suicide hotline. I myself know how much those hotlines help when you are in that state of mine. I’ve only used the number once, but the lady I talked to helped me so much.
I love the romance in the book. Her five childhood best friends come searching for her because they all decided that enough was enough; they needed her back.
Not to mention the sex is steamy AF 🤤💦
I can’t wait to read more of those series!!!

Oh wow heart broken

This book was a very quick and easy read it got me turning the pages very fast. Love it.

Ainsley is a very strong young woman. She want to help everyone and she is always there when someone needs her. But who is there for her. She is all alone with a lot of deep emotions all over the place. She have a lot of things to work on.

Everything was fine till her past collide with her present. The guys are so direct they want her and they will do anything to get her. But there is a lot of thing happening at the same time.

The plot and the twist was amazing. The emotions were very well written. Ainsley was very raw and in need of love. I can't wait to read next book.

The ending.... I was left wanting more...

Good Quick Read

I enjoyed this quick read, by the blurb I thought it was going to be more bullying by the main male characters for getting revenge on the main female for leaving them but turns out to be so much different. I love a good bad boy rockstar book and this had 4 of them, but they are possessive, and dominate, and not afraid to show their girl how much she means to them and how much they care. This book touches on mental health, suicide, and drug addiction awareness. I did not realize it was going to be a series of books until the very end and a surprise cliffhanger, so now I am waiting for the reveal of the second book to put in my TBR catalogue. I am hoping for more group interactions in the next book because their dynamics together are amazing!

Loved it!

I love this book! The Rock Princess, also know as Ainsley or AJ, had her heart ripped to shreds with a move to Maine and away from her best friends. Fast forward 8 years, after everything she's been through, she has closed herself off from love and those closest to her. She buries her emotions under the guise of helping others but in no time her world is turned upside down. Her current best friend has deeper feelings for her than she does for him, the guys come back from the past and tear through her walls, she discovers the truth about what truly happened 8 yrs ago, and she has a psycho stalker after her. Can she survive what happens next....I can't wait to find out.

what a book!!! book 2 is needed!

Indiscretion….. holy cow you took me on a roller coaster!!

This book had me from the get go and literally couldn’t put it down. Read it in one seating.

Ainsley and her story.
The guys and their stories.
Together omg!

I’m trying to give nothing away. Because I truly believe you need to go into this story blind and with no indications. Seriously this might be one of my top reads of 2022…. No lie!!!

That ending. I can’t even process or begin to process. I think I’m in denial. Oh. My. Gosh.

I need book 2 asap.

Congratulations on such a great release!!!

Happy release day!!!

This review is a little hard for me to right. I read the first quarter of this book last year when it was in the Princess and the Alphaholes anthology. I had high hopes for this book. I thought it was going to be centered more around music, as she’s a rockstar princess. Second chance romance with a little mystery thrown in with the stalker.

While I knew that there were going to be heavier topics in this book, they were more prevalent than I was expecting and I found myself skimming through those chapters.

I did enjoy the rekindling of their relationship and the problem with her stalker, although I figured out the connection right away.

So ooo Good

You have to read this! I love reverse harem rockstar books and this is up there with CM Staunch's "Groupie, Roadie, and Moxie". Though I love those books so much I have reread them 3 times. I can't wait to read the 2nd book in this series.
The 5 guys are perfectly imperfect an Ainsley is trying so hard to hide by being this do gooder and not really being happy at all. Adding in the stalker just developed the plot to another level.
Great job All Jensen!
Highly recommend.

Oh Wow!

That was not the ending I was expecting, but man the bad guy knows manipulation so well, I didn’t even see that coming. I read the book so fast, I just couldn’t put it down. I seriously can’t wait to see what happens next, I’m excited to see how it all plays out. Man, he knew how to break her away from them, I just can’t wait for the next book! Ali is such a great writer!

This was not an easy or smooth read. Add to that the fact that it ends on a cliffhanger, and you have the makings of a 1 star book.

Though I will say, I hope the heroine and her dad get to make up for lost time. The heroine’s mom can just get lost. She ruined her family, then took the child away from everything she ever knew. Not saying anything, the child blames the other parent and resents them. SMH

Sizzling chemistry and a stalker. Fab!

What a great book, someone in a fb group recommended this and I'm so glad they did. The characters are really well written and the chemistry between them is hot!!!!!! I love the mental health messages and that the guys are angry, but so, so protective. Add in a creepy stalker, obsessed with AJ and who hates the guys and there you have it. Roll on the next book!

Wow! This book pulled me in right from the first page. Ainsley is a very strong women and I admire how she helps others so easily. Love how the guys come back into her life and let her know exactly how they feel. And then there’s the stalker, I totally had a feeling I knew who it was. But that ending left me like throwing my phone, I cannot wait for book 2!!

Speechless

What happens next!
When I started reading this book I thought is was going to be the guys bullying the girl for their past. I was so wrong and I am glad I was wrong. This book is so incredible and phenomenal! It deals with heavy topics but it does it in a way that the characters aren’t judged and grow from their experiences. Be ready to go through so many emotions!

great

Hits all the feels...second chance rock stars romance. Loved how forthright the heroine was and the determination of the guys to win her back. Ends on a heart-ripping scene. Lots of group steam, tattoos and alpha attitude, as well as d-piercings. Focus of steamy scenes is on heroine.

The cliffhanger ending killed me . Her mom did her wrong and so did her dad by not telling her everything and keeping her from the most important people in her life and harming them all in the end . I need book two asap . So freaking good.

Not a standalone.

So I thought this was a standalone..... But it's not (my bad). Which is fine... But I already can't wait for the next book.

Loved to story. Loved the guys. Music related books aren't usually my thing but this was well written.

Not sure how to feel.

I'm really not sure how I feel about this book atm. I really liked some parts and others just dragged for me. Wasn't expecting it to end on a cliff hanger, and not sure I care enough about what's going to happen in the end to read the next book.

Entertaining

I liked the cliffhanger. You kind of know who the baddie is early in the book, but the tension is great. I’d give the spicy scenes a 4, and the overall plot has a good arc. I’ll definitely read the next one.

The characters were honest, heartwarming, and relatable. The FMC was someone who I would be friends with and the way she carried herself reminded me of me. I had a feeling the one character was sketchy from the beginning and I was proven right. I hope the second book comes out soon. I need answers

Ali magic

I love Alis writing. It’s raw and honest, her characters flawed and broken but she manages to paint a picture of hope. Looking forward to book two.
