Honestly an interesting story but cannot enjoy a book where each piece of speech is like a puzzle to decipher

Curiously compelling characters.

This book seems to have an incredible story line which I would love to be able to finish but the phonetically styled speech between the characters has been done in such a way that I find the book unreadable. To have to stop the flow of reading to decipher every conversation between the characters ruins this book and makes it impossible to immerse yourself in it.
(Others, however might be able to cope with this and so will find it an enjoyable read)

Overall this was a good book. The characters were well developed and the story had a timeless quality about it. The only thing that keeps this from getting 4 stars is that when people are speaking in the book it is almost impossible to decipher and I had to skip over some parts without knowing what people were saying.
