Thank you, Health Communications Inc., for the advance reading copy.
I am sorry to say that some pages are definitely missing and blank. But from what I could read and absorb from the rest gave me so much comfort and joy.
The writing is really calming for me and it serves its purpose. I tend to get really restless and anxious for no reason however it is books like this thay gives actual practical views that help me a lot on day to day basis. I actively look for such books and I am so glad this book is one.
I appreciate the pages in between which are deliberately left for the reader to write down their thoughts after each topic.
I feel I will gain more from the book when it comes out and actually hold the finished copy in my hands holding a pen and try to figure out things for myself while reading it.
Change is the most difficult thing to bring in our lives yet change is the only thing that is constant for all. Bringing about even the slightest change in our thoughts and habits can be difficult. This book is a guide for the change.
The thing I liked most about this book is the real life experiences. The book is written by Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino - a life coach, which not only gives a credibility to the content but also gives us the opportunity to know some real life experiences which are shared by them. They show us the situations their clients faced and recovered from.
Another important thing that I found quite useful was the worksheet attached at the end of the segments. They give you questions for self analysis and ways to help ourselves to overcome the obstacles. These worksheet can be really useful when it comes to accepting and changing.
Author follows the ideology that to bring about change first we need to listen to our heart, understand that we need that change and then take up small steps to bring that change. It's ok to ask for help when we need need some.
Fav quote: Direction is within you.
Take one step at a time. Implement and move forward. It's easy to implement and follow. Written in a simple language. If you are looking for some change or help, pick this one up.
Most people would agree we would like to become the best we can be, but how many of us, are willing to put in the effort to achieve that lofty goal?
Guarino has made it possible by providing a simple framework to make it possible for us to grow and change as we move through life. She provides ten points of change in three phrases to help the reader become happier.
These three phases align our heart, our truths, and finally our energy. As one discovers herself, she must act. Guarino provides assessments that help us to think, write, talk, and finally, act. The reader learns to create power phrases and then complete exercises to practice implementing those actions. Practical suggestions help us manage our time and energy. For those who enjoy a challenge, a discussion quiz allows a way to gain certification in completion of the course in recognition of the arduous work and progress made on the path to change and true happiness.
I’ve always been bad with change and have even been told by my therapist I have an adjustment disorder. My last boss bought me this book when I had accepted a new job opportunity that landed unexpectedly in my lap, one I could not say no to. Most self help books in my opinion all sound the same in some context. This book I can truly rate a 5/5. There are writing exercises that challenge you. There are stories from a variety of individuals who have seen rock bottom in different forms of poor health (physically and mentally), careers, family, finances, goals, self-love, self worth, etc. I walked away with a couple pointers in this book that really did weigh heavy in my mind (in a good way). And what’s super unique is the certificate you can get in the end which I look forward to next! Thank you Elizabeth for this book!
What I love about The Change Guidebook is the format of the book and the exercises that accompany each. It's a wonderful mix of education (the 10 steps of change), anecdotal stories from real life people who experienced change in so many different ways- changing career, moving to a new country, starting college, losing a spouse, and the list goes on. Each chapter has exercises for you to delve into while you address changes you want in your own life. There is even an option to do submit the exercises and receive an online certificate- which I love- it feels like an accomplishment to me. Highly recommend.
“Change is challenging, especially when you didn’t choose it. Support and guidance make the journey so much easier, and Elizabeth HamiltonGuarino provides that and more! Elizabeth’s excitement, experience, and enthusiasm in The Change Guidebook burst on every page. If you want to start changing now, The Change Guidebook will move you toward the introspection needed to make it happen. I highly recommend this excellent book full of life experiences of the author and other experts who have successfully navigated the waters of change.”
What a transformational book! Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino does it again with another powerfully positive guide - this time, with a guide to understanding, embracing, and implementing change in your life. From small changes to monumental ones, we all have to start somewhere - and there’s no better place to start than The Change Guidebook. It’s a “happiness self-help” kickstart that’s powerful without being preachy, interweaving the author’s wit, wisdom, and techniques with wonderfully descriptive real life examples of change in action.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. I found the book to be one of the best books I’ve ever read in this genre. It’s real. I love how helpful it is. I used it to change my mindset, and the manner in which approach success in my career. It works. I highly recommend this book. Perfect for a time when so many of are dealing with significant change.
The author breaks Change down into ten easily digestible points. Each point, as a Chapter, provides expert guidance, stories, tips and interactive exercises to help guide you towards being your best self - and truly managing change. We’re gifting each of our kids with a copy, and I wish I had a book like this 20 years ago!
This book is so important, especially right now with all of the uncertainty that still exists in our lives and our world. Elizabeth does a great job of guiding us through the process of change so we can thrive in all areas of our lives. I highly recommend this wonderful book!
This wonderful book is must reading for anyone who wants a path to changing in all areas of your life, or who wants to get inspired to change. Do yourself a favor and read this book!

💻📖🎧 Book format & quality 💻📖🎧 I recieved this book in ebook format and it was easy and clear to read.
🌻SpLD comments (from a dyslexic)🌻 The ebook was in pdf format but the line spacing and font shape worked really well for me.
🎨 Artwork🎨 A great cover, beautifully done.
✒️ Style✏️ I particularly liked the authors style of breaking the book down in to the sections, Align your; hearts, truth & energy. Within each section there are three to four sections to expand on. It's in a logical further, easy to follow or dip in and out of sections depending on your desired read.
I enjoyed the writers style of giving information and then allowing time for reflection or working through tasks. There are some excellent exercises in the book and I recommended doing them all.
The success tips through the book are really good so it made it really hard for me to select my favourite quote.
📖 Read more 📖 Absolutely
🎙️ Favourite quote🎙️ "Be brave and think with your heart" Whilst this is the first success tip in the book. It resonated with me.
❓Question for the author❔ Will you be writing more?
Many of us are aware that we need to revamp the way we "do" life. Although we sense the desire to advance, we are unsure of where to put our feet in order to take the initial steps. There are innumerable guides for improving our lives, but we want anything that would genuinely alter us for the better forever.
I recently came across what I call by far my best self-help read. The Change Guidebook is not just a book but it acts like a mentor throughout your journey of attaining mental independence. This book can help you in any area of your life where you wish to make a difference since it is packed with helpful tips, motivational anecdotes, and doable exercises. Since the author has written an easy-to-understand manual with simple approaches, I would definitely suggest it to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed by the variety of self-help information.
This guidebook tells us that the resources and knowledge necessary to improve the world are available to us as we develop in it. We look outside of ourselves for solutions in an effort to feel happy and content, but we don't realize that all the solutions and the riches we seek are already within ourselves.
I'm so impressed by how readable and practical this book is! Would definitely suggest my fellow readers grab this amazing piece to help themselves develop a thinking that can lead to ultimate mental peace.
I am a self help book addict. I have read pretty much most of the best self help books out there, sol was going to be a tough cookie to please When it came to reviewing this book. However, I am pleased to say that this book didn't disappoint. 'The Change Guidebook' is divided into three parts- * Align Your Heart Align Your Truths • Align Your Energy The chapters then work through a series of success tips that can be applied to your own life and includes stories from other peoples lives as inspiration. Each chapter ends with a written exercise for reflection and to help you to focus on and set goals for yourself. I thought it was really lovely how throughout the book Elizabeth offers for you to reach out to her if you need further guidance on any of the exercises, and how you can get your Master Class Certification Certificate upon completing the book. You can also sign up for free membership via the website - besteveryou.com I loved this book, I found it really uplifting, and a great tool to refer back to when lacking motivation as it gets you thinking about where you are headed when you drift from your path or purpose, or when life knocks you off of your feet. It is a book I will definitely be using again in the future.
Self-help books are more than just books, they serve as a guide for readers to rejuvenate themselves and instill a sense of introspection. These books have the power to touch your soul and heart, motivating you to achieve your aspirations. Moreover, this book acts as a tool to cultivate the capability and belief that 'I CAN DO anything.' This book functions as a self-journal where you not only learn but also engage in writing.
The inclusion of assessment scores not only measures progress but also serves as a motivational tool, urging readers to push beyond their comfort zones. Power words woven into the narrative act as catalysts, igniting a sense of empowerment and resilience. The 'Points to Ponder' sections serve as contemplative pauses, prompting readers to reflect and apply the wisdom gained.
Assess, discover, grow.....etc.. — each chapter contributes significantly. In essence, this self-help book transcends the boundaries of traditional literature, becoming a companion in your journey of personal growth. It offers valuable insights and tools to navigate life's challenges. Overall, I highly recommend this powerful read for anyone seeking a meaningful and impactful guide on their path to self-improvement.
Yes, you can change yourself, and make a positive difference in the world too – with clear thought, helpful guidelines, and help from this successful life coach, influencer, consultant, trainer and speaker who tells it like it is and gives you the step-by-step guidelines, stories, steps, and exercises to help you do it.
Me, I tend to improv my way through life, which often works for me. But I remain open to input – and when others can help me focus and make my plan more clear and purposeful, I’m all for it.
I welcome the guidance. We’re all connected, (a concept both EHG and I talk about in our books) and designed to help each other.
actually did the exercises and enjoyed myself in the process, all the while learning about others’ journeys, and clarifying the meanings of my own choices.
Get this book – and use it! You’ll be so glad you did, to be your Best Ever You – and add more happier to the world.. I certainly am
I loved this book; in fact, I purchased it in paperback and audio, read by the author herself. For me and many others, change can be a difficult task. However, it is the only way to move toward a successful and blissful life. The Change Guidebook provides an easy, effective way to start your journey and hear affirmations of others' journey to accomplishment, victory, and growth. Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino writes what she experiences, feels, and supports in her business Best Ever You. I have watched this amazing author and her business grow, and she is an expert on how to climb over, go around or push through obstacles with enthusiasm and determination. The Change Guidebook will hold your hand with love as you discover what you want to change to make your life stress free, easy, and joyful. I, without a doubt, honestly recommend The Change Guidebook.
This is your hands-on guide to lead a happy, contented life. The author has summed up all of her experiences in this one book. This book guides you towards answering all your questions, and all your life decisions. The author has shared her experience, her stories, her client responses the challenges they faced and how she helped them overcome them and lead a happy, fulfilling life.
Such books are my personal favourite where they give a personal touch by sharing life lessons from their life and experience, helping the readers to relate better to the situations and how they can do the same in their life to enhance the quality of their life.
This one is truly a gem and should be on your reading list. If you need a change in the way you live life then this is your change Book. Go for it.
Have you ever feared change so much (switch careers, leave an unhappy relationship, eat more vegetables) that you waited and waited and waited and suffered, and then when you FINALLY made the change you thought, "why did I not do this sooner?" If so, this is the book for you.
This is not a fluffy, gives a few tips book, it is an instruction book on how to recognize not only WHAT you want but the steps to follow through to get it. Elizabeth speaks about growing so much that you are at PEACE, and isn't that what we all really want?
I would recommend this book to anyone who fears change and/or is wanting to take stock in their life and find their real purpose.
Why be afraid of change? Read and follow The Change Guidebook, a logical step by step guide to take you through the process and allow you to tackle moving forward in a positive and fearless way. The world is ever changing (even more so recently) and to progress within that world, we must change with it. Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino provides the template for you to fill in the answers for your own success and growth.
This cover is just everything. What you put in allows for growth. The light and energy, growing a new start - just an amazing image that speaks to me. After years of providing life affirming coaching to her clients, Elizabeth put together 10 points to help those who may not have access to such services. These steps were broken down to help them feel achievable, minimize the sense of overwhelming or other negative self talk. Inspiring, achievable steps to help us become ourselves.
This is a fabulous book to guide anyone who seeks a change for the better in themselves and their life. An effort must be made, of course, and the author offers the way to do it. Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino has the experience and expertise to show you how. The book is a much- needed tool for many, especially at this time of great change in our world. Highly recommended.
My Thoughts: Change can be something we want to do or sometimes we need to do and at different times in our life’s we may need help figuring out how to do that and This book does just that. I am always interesting in books that can enlighten me and help me grow. Your Heart Matters Your Truth Matters Your Energy Matters
‘The Change Guidebook’ is well-written, well-researched content with one purpose: To Align Your Heart, Truths, and Energy to Find Success in All Areas of Your Life. This book will get you to think, act and behave differently. You will tap into your natural energy and stop trying to behave like someone you are not.
The philosophy behind the author’s approach is that we are not puppets. We are the protagonist of our lives and we can live life on our terms and conditions. We can find peace and purpose, we can set goals, we can bring a positive attitude and we can carve out our own world and build it as we see fit. Overall I would describe this book as grounding and encouraging, and recommend it to anyone struggling to move forward in any aspect of their life.
This book offers the distilled and clarified thoughts of one of the most brilliant contemporary thinkers I've encountered anywhere. And the content is up-to-the-point, inspiring, and uplifting. I think it's wonderfully liberating stuff.
Elizabeth’s writing style is brilliant. She writes plainly and provides great insight on how to align your hearts, truths, and energy to find success in not just one but all areas of your life. I will highly recommend this book to those who want to break the invisible chains that are imprisoning us all.
This was a really interesting read that was comprehensive and easy to understand and would be accessible and helpful to everyone. The book is set out into ten chapters with each chapter breaking down one of ten different specific points of change that would be helpful to everyone. Each chapter then takes the point that it is focusing on and provides the reader with stories, exercises that the reader can implement into their life alongside guidance and suggestions to help facilitate the changes that are needed to help you become both the best that you can be and the person that you want to be in life, as well as showing the reader how they can use change to thrive in all aspects in life. This book really helped me especially after the recent pandemic, which I have found, I am still learning the ways in which I was affected by it. Not just that though this book has the potential to help anybody in all aspects of life. A really informative and inspiring read.
The book introduces you with the Ten Points of Change, a process of recognizing, allowing, and committing to actionable, sustainable change in your life. These are the ten things you should work on to improve yourself and become the best version of yourself.
📖 You’ll mainly learn about:
▪️Aligning with your heart by practising self-awareness and self-reflection and creating a clear vision. ▪️Understanding the power and usefulness of making mindful choices every moment. ▪️Learning about yourself to establish values, goals, and beliefs and start to put those in line with your behaviour. ▪️Developing a growth seeking mindset. ▪️Realizing your both talents and imperfections and trusting yourself to live authentically. ▪️Importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people. ▪️Practicing self-mastery.
Real life stories of people are also discussed to make us learn some important lessons from their journey, which is also related to that point of change.
The book can also be used as a workbook as each chapter is followed by exercises. I like books that encourages us to actually work along with it. It helps you find a healthy way to express yourself, about your goals, problems, concerns. Also, providing an opportunity for positive self-talk and identifying negative thoughts.
After reading The Change Guidebook, one can’t help walk away feeling lighter, more hopeful about the world, and more equipped to engage in personal growth and change. As I write this review, I returned to many pages that were folded, earmarked for their special teachings that resonated with me. Whether you are someone who has been on a growth trajectory for a while and feels aligned with many of these teachings, or you are someone looking to make a life change, The Change Guidebook offers valuable insight on ways to grow, trust yourself, be kind to yourself and others, ask for help, and give help. These tenets remind us that we each have magic inside of us, and Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino clearly illuminates the path to uncovering these gifts within. With the help from several of her friends and coaching clients, Elizabeth shares stories of personal change and resilience that offer a new perspective for each of us -- they explore the concepts of forgiveness, gratitude, resilience and overcoming adversity. The author reminds us that we each have the power to impact another, simply by being kind. She reminds us to ask for help, and to know that this does not make us “weak,” but rather incredibly human, even divine. Delving into the topic of mindfulness, Elizabeth reminds us to “collect miracles,” because only then can we be truly aware of our gifts and all that makes us whole. Elizabeth discusses key philosophies about living an authentic life, such as “not bending yourself like a pretzel” to meet the needs of others. She uses humorous metaphors, so that all can connect to these very human struggles. Elizabeth gives concrete examples to implement change in your life, from everything to weight loss to exercise to taking a leap of faith in your career. And she does so in a way that connects our humanity and beckons us to become better versions of ourselves. I wholeheartedly recommend this book, and feel blessed to have been a recipient of its teachings.
