Jim Hair is a business professional with over thirty-five years working in the financial industry. He is happily married to his wife of thirty-nine years and has two daughters and sons-in-law and four granddaughters. He enjoys music, gardening, and travel. He lives outside Chicago.

I really enjoyed Jim Hair’s “Vengeance”. It’s a fun, fast-moving story with likeable protagonists and detestable villains. The glamorous locales, including Wall Street, the Caribbean, various private jets and yachts, and a warehouse filled with exotic cars, also add to the excitement. The story is set in the financial industry and much of the dramatic tension involves fortunes and careers – and the potentially catastrophic loss of them – but there is also plenty of physical action and even a few pyrotechnics. I recommend “Vengeance” to anyone looking for an entertaining thriller, but especially for those with an interest in financial markets, lifestyles of the ultra-wealthy, or themes of revenge.

This book held my interest from beginning to end. It has the feel of a Grisham or Baldacci style book. The story unfolds at a fast pace with plenty of twists and turns. There is plenty of attention to detail so I did not find myself wondering about much or feeling as though I had missed something. Knowing this was Jim Hair’s very first attempt at stepping into the role of author has me very impressed and anxious to read his next book!

Not exactly fast paced until about page 180. Didn’t hold my interest much either but that might be my reading preference.
Wall Street star makes a huge mistake and pays dearly for it with the loss of everything; Job, home, city. But more loss is promised and delivered. Eventually he and his wife find ways to repay those who delivered the losses.

Love this thriller that combines the world of high finance at the dawn of the internet age. Such a satisfying thriller taking place in New York City and other playgrounds of the wealthy. Definitely will recommend to my friends. Great characters who you will love and despise.

I am a sucker for the characters in any story. I immediately liked Alex and Jane. The plot with added twists and turns kept me reading late into the night.
