Saturday Shepherd and the World Beyond

by Logan Nance

Have you ever stared into the darkness and felt as if something unseen was staring back at you? All around us, hidden just beyond the darkest shadow, there exists a secret society filled with vampires, shape-shifting monsters, practitioners of magic, and all manner of vile creatures. In a place like New York City, when the night falls that’s when everything comes alive. For a few mere decades a truce has existed among the supernatural creatures within the city, but a few grizzly murders have left that uneasy alliance hanging on a razor's edge. Saturday Shepherd, a seemingly normal human who finds himself unwillingly thrust into this world, quickly finds himself at the forefront of a war for the night that has been waged for thousands of years. The battle lines are being drawn. The veil that separates the human world from the supernatural is failing. Can Saturday solve the murders in time and find justice for someone close to him, or will he fail and the war become reignited? In “Saturday Shepherd and The World Beyond” a young adult supernatural thriller, you will enter the world beyond the darkness and journey with Saturday as he discovers that the night is more dangerous and deadly than he could have ever imagined, and as he also discovers that perhaps he’s not as normal as he’s been led to believe.

Met this author at Lexington Comic Con in 2025. Purchased two books and plan on purchasing the third and final book once published

Great, fun read. I have enjoyed reading this and my child has too.

Would make a great Netflix series.

Delightful supernatural read!

Entertaining and delightful tale about a high school student who accidentally stumbles across a group of supernatural beings (of various talents) in his hometown of New York City. If you're in need of a quick escape into a fun adventure, Saturday Shepherd will take you there. Looking forward to seeing what other exploits Logan Nance has up his sleeve for Saturday Shepherd and the World Beyond series.

This book was hard to put down!! Shifters (werewolves), vampires and a mystery make for an action packed book. The characters are strong and the plot moves quickly. I can't wait until the next book in the series!

Nearing the end I was mad because I knew the next novel hasn’t been released and I need more! Best way to describe it is a supernatural mystery/crime novel. Great book full of suspense and some twists at the end.

I got this book from the author at a local comic convention. I love supporting local authors!

The story itself was very good. There were a few typos and errors throughout the book, but other than that it was written really well, and the story flowed really good.
