Her skin was white as snow. Her hair as black as ebony. Her lips...darn near purple!
But before the freezing beauty could explain to Zach Prescott how she'd wound up on his doorstep during a snowstorm in only a wedding dress, she fainted.
His seven pint-size charges insisted the mystery woman was Snow White. But their uncle, savvy CEO Zach Prescott, sure knew better. Snow White was a fairy tale. Sabrina White was living, breathing reality. And a runaway bride. He told himself his curiosity about her was only natural. Their kisses, the result of comfort...and close quarters. Because theirs could never be a storybook ending. He was nobody's prince. Or was he?

Sabrina White leaves her wedding after waiting for a long time for the groom to show up. It seems Adam, her fiancé and groom-to-be, is more concerned about his job than her and she realizes she can't go through with this wedding. So she tells her best friend Meg she's leaving and goes out a back door, still in her wedding gown. Sabrina decides to drive to the Sierra Mountains. She remembers having good times there and she needs a few days to herself to think things through.
Along the way it snows and her car gets stuck in a ditch. She is freezing and she still has her wedding gown on. She walks towards a house and knocks on the door. The door opens and she sees seven children and a very handsome man before she collapses and faints from the cold. The children mistake her for Snow White (their favorite story). When she comes to, she meets Zach Prescott. He is looking after his sister's seven foster children while she is away on a mini-vacation and he invites Sabrina to stay until her car is repaired. She has fun with the children playing in the snow and finds herself attracted to Zach. But when she leaves little does she know she will be seeing Zach again, so soon.
This was an enjoyable and cute story. The characters were very likable. I really liked the San Francisco setting towards the end of the book. A quick and pleasant read.
