Journeying from her native land to ensure that the child king of Rossacotta will live to be a man, Nimnestl stays clear of the intrigues and rivalries that swirl about the throne but soon finds herself in the midst of a conspiracy. Original.
The abundance of intrigue in Rossacotta is great for those who love plots and counter-plots. For those who want a vicarious trip into a dangerous world where you constantly have to watch your back, read this. The sorcery, demons, and danger gave me anxiety sometimes, but I wasn't bored! (NOTE: Crude language.)
This books was so confusing! Goblins and demon cults, politics, minstrels, strange names and new words. And what kind of regent lets a 9 year old king go off on a mission without him? I didn't understand anything that was going on. I skipped to the end, but I didn't feel like that helped at all. I only paid $1 for this one, but it really wasn't worth it.
