Taz has been having a difficult time moving on since his wife, Maggie’s death. Then he meets Candy, a rival MC princess, younger, bold, and may be just what he needs to open his heart up once again. Loved the story, fell in love with the characters, and the unexpected twist will have you flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I enjoyed every single moment of this story.
It has promise but I struggled with this book. The heavy use of the word “fuckingtastic” and f-bombs or some version of it everywhere didn’t add value to the book. No issues with swearing, some books do it well …this wasn’t one of them. H realises he loves his wife (Maggie)when she starts dying (cancer) - he cheats on her while they are together (no details…but he acknowledges it and regrets it) he also regrets not having kids with her. Story of H (30) and h (20 - candy) take place a year after H wife passes. H feels guilty about Maggie through most of book but knows that candy is his. H hung up on how young h is which gets old fast as it’s throughout book. There is some MC drama with a rival club where H is shot towards the end. H Claims h, and h is pregnant and they have a boy - H has a flash of regret of denying his wife kids when he sees his kid for the first first. not sure why this needed to be added - let Candy have her time. The end.
I would still try read another book by the author - just not this one.
DETS, fuckingtastic, BROS, sleeping with a chic he met online after the wife he loves died of cancer, yeah miss me with this book. Sorry. And hell no I didn't finish this book.
This a sad story about a man who is devastated about the loss of his wife and who is having trouble moving on. They meet thur a dating app., not realizing they are both in MC’s and in a tentative truths. They are meant for each other, but have factors that need to be addressed, the age difference, the rival MC’s, and the fact he isn’t really ready to let his wife go. Candy is in lust first then love with Taz, but knows that he isn’t ready to be tied down just yet. That doesn’t stop them from seeing each other or for the sex to stop. It does mean that she is slowly wiggling under Taz’ skin and he starts to think of her constantly. When she is taken because of an old beef, he will move heaven and hell to get her back and to make her his completely. They survive and prove that age is just a number that can lead to great love and happiness.
What a sad start Taz had with his first wife Maggie, after she passed he didn't know where to turn then he met Candy, not only was she way younger then the VP, she was also a rival MC Princess and the sister of War's Ol Lady. He knows he should turn her away, but there is just something about her and it might just cause a war
Taz is having a hard time moving on after losing his wife. Candy is another MC's princess, holds her own in a fight, and gets Taz's attention. An unexpected twist makes this story all the more exciting.
Action packed story with suspense and mystery, great start to this new series. The characters are intense and raw around the edges but have a very protective, caring side for what's theirs. Obstacles overcome and strong physical attractions make this an interesting read. Enjoyed it very much.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
I thought this would be a sad story story and it had it moments but it wasn't that sad. It's a love story, about finding love again, about brothers and a feisty MC princess! It's a story that you will enjoy and want to read in one sitting. A definite must read!
I don’t want to be harsh and say too much negative things about this book. It’s just not for me! Usually I can get through just about any book, not this time unfortunately! I’m just not into it at all. I made it to about 21% and that was all I could take tbh. 😬
I've really debated on whether or not I should leave a review for this book. I feel bad, but this just doesn't do it. The story itself, could be really good however, the execution wasn't there. I really struggled to get through this book, if not for the fact I hate leaving books unfinished, I would have stopped reading at the first chapter. There is absolutely no character depth; what you read in the summary of the book about the characters, is basically all you get the whole book. There's no deep and/or meaningful conversations, no emotions, no history, no real back story of characters. It all just fell flat. I don't mind swear words in books but this was like swearing just to swear. And as far as the dirty talking went, there wasn't any... A lot of repetitive and confusing sentences throughout the book. **spoiler alert** The term "Bros" was used to describe the other members of the MC's in the story; for me, this was very off-putting. I've never heard that term used in this specific setting. Both MC's in the book used this word. It just didn't work. Would be better suited for a fraternity story. Taz is the VP of the Wicked Warriors MC. Candy is an MC princess - the sister of the founders of another MC. Taz and Candy meet online and go on a date, neither knowing who the other was. This would be great except that Candy's sister is married to Taz's president! How does that work?! There are so many little details that get left out or overlooked that really would have benefited the story.
So this book was decent; I expected it to be way better. Every other word was "Fu😬k" honestly, it got annoying. Then the author used words like "DETS," which is short for details; not everyone will know that. I only know that because I have teenagers. If it wasn't the "F" word, it was "Fu🙄kingtastic." After so many of those, I was ready to finish the book. I do my fair share of cussing, but this book did not need half of the cuss words in it. Also, if you are not following along really well, you will get confused—so many MC names in here. I want to read the other books in this series, but if it is anything like this book, I will probably not be reading them any time soon. The sexy scenes are meh, not fan yourself good. They could use some work. Would I recommend it, maybe depending on the person.
This book just sounds like a dimwitted valley girl trying to write a badass MC book.
The use of the word bros instead of brothers as ALL MCs call each other shows they have no MC experience. Also the word fuck is used every other word, its over kill.
This whole book gave me surfer dude vibes trying to be motorcycle club guys.
Its like it was written by a airhead. The author really needs to do some actual research before writing about something.
This is coming from someone who actually was a ol lady in her lifetime, and was associated with MCs.
This book is fast-paced the main character loses his wife and then a year later meets candy falls in love with her fairly fast. The writing is a tad juvenile at times. It could be a very good story if there was more meat to the story. I really don't see a badass biker saying fucktastic and variance of that word all the time. I pushed myself to finish the story but will not continue with the rest of the series.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't like a man who while in the process of grieving for his young wife, expressing how much he loved her, while at thd same time admitting to being unfaithful. It just didn't ring true. I spent the rest of the book expecting the same behaviour.
There was nothing really written to give any indication what was so special this time around, other than guilt for his first wife.
I got to page 25 and had to stop. Every 10th word had the word f*ck in it. I'm all for swearing in a book, I typically swear like a sailor most days myself. But this was beyond overkill. I kept trying to read on and try to ignore the tedious use but I just can't. I was looking forward to reading this series...bummer.
