Rate this book
Quinci is a complex black woman who has issues with her sister Zaria who smothers her with attention and motherly instincts. As the story begins, Quinci has just moved into a new apartment and meets Joe, her next-door neighbor and one of the two men that capture her heart. Within days of meeting Joe, Quinci starts a new job, and on her first day of work, she meets Kevin, the other man that will steal her heart. Her best friend and sometimes buffer for her sister, Monica, encourages Quinci to go out with both men until she gets to know them. Since Quinci’s break-up with her last boyfriend, Monica feels that her friend has shied away from men while caring for her ill mother. Monica also believes that Quinci needs these love connections to ease the pain of losing her mother. This complicated love story gives you the vantage point of the three main characters as they navigate getting to know one another. Quinci is an attractive plus-sized woman with some body image issues that have plagued her forever. Both men find her desirable and do everything they can to show her that they love her body as much as they love the rest of her. Being torn between two men isn’t easy for Quinci. Joe and Kevin are like night and day. Joe is a Caucasian single father and small business owner who is sweet and romantic but has many responsibilities. They have a lot of fun together, and his daughter Millie adores Quinci instantly. Their dates are practical, cooking at home, movies, and sometimes include kid-friendly activities. Kevin is an incredibly handsome African American, arrogant at times, extraordinarily successful, and believes that Quinci is the woman for him. He enjoys giving her gifts and taking her on trips. Keeping them from finding out about each other becomes a headache that Quinci can barely manage. When she’s sure that she’s ready to end one of the relationships, the men learn that Quinci has been seeing them both. Quince realizes that she was manipulated into a relationship with one of the men by her meddling sister. What will happen between this black woman in love with a white man and a black man? Which one will she be playing footsie with? You’ll have to read this curvy girl romance to find out.

Suspense/Psychological Thriller

This is not a curvy girl romance. I really don't know what to say. It starts out like it's going to be a love triangle, but quickly leaves that behind. It's more like a twisted psycho obsession. Then ends with one chapter of Q getting with the right man. People will have to read this book and form their own opinion.

Baffled

Monica and Z are trifling messes. Giving extremely bad advice and being overly pushy. I cannot tell which of the two is the most awful. If Q wanted an open relationship she should have pursued that instead of cheating on both guys.
