Taesa will do anything to save her mom from the Alzheimer's disease that is destroying her.
Taesa has started a new job, one that she loves but is hoping will give her the connections she needs. Her boss, though, has a past that is coming back with a vengeance and is putting Taesa squarely in the middle of it. Being pulled in many directions, Taesa has a difficult decision to make – lose her mom to the disease or destroy someone else's life in the hope she can save her mom's.
Kal has been entrusted with his mom's million-dollar jewelry. Ones that are linked to a mysterious and sketchy past. There has already been more than one attempt at stealing them. If that isn't enough, Kal's adopted teenage sister comes to stay with him and is determined to find her real mom and dad. With or without his help. She has run away once and she seems to know more about the jewelry and their real value. And will use them if they will help find her real parents.
Taesa and Kal are asked to work together. Kal's mom and Taesa's boss's have a past that is intricately connected not only to each other but to that of the jewelry that is being sent to each of the foster sisters. Their snooping puts them in the path of those wanting to hide their true identity and to keep the past in the past. Those people also want that jewelry. They will do anything to get it. Lie. Kidnap. Even kill.

Jewelry From A Tough Childhood Mysteriously Arrives At Women's Homes, Danger ALWAYS Follows
Book 3 in the 'Twisted Deception' series is out today, as the adventures of foster girls continue as they grow, with jewelry they took care of at their foster home following along in their lives. I have really been pulled into the girl's lives in this series, as every character feels real, reminding you of a friend you used to hang with! The plot is strong with so many little things happening that you don't dare look away for a moment.
A great adventure as the mystery engulfs you, who is sending the jewelry, and why! It only seems to cause sadness and fear every time it turns up. But it is so beautiful, another warning of beauty fading and becoming something else...
I am looking forward to the next in this series. I received an ARC from the author and offer you my honest thoughts and feelings in this review.

Taesa is hoping her new job can help her and her mother. Her mother has Alzheimer’s disease, and it is destroying her and Taesa. Kal has his mother's jewelry, that other people would love to have...at any cost. Taesa and Kal end up working together and that causes more danger not only to them but those they have discovered in their snooping. This is the third book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Exploited Innocence is book 3 in The Twisted Deception Suspense Thriller Mystery Series. All books in the series have standalone stories, no cliffhangers. Even thou they are stand alones I highly recommend you read them in order or you will miss the unique background story of this series. Maggie Thom is a talented and gifted writer. This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel.

Ok, book three in the series and by the cringe this author writes a wicked mystery story that’s for sure. How go they come up with the storylines yes I know I’ve said it before but it’s amazing how it’s all put together, different story in every book. Highly recommended.

This is Book 3 in a very unusual series. Each story itself is a stand-alone, but throughout the books, the characters grow and develop and their interaction becomes more intricate. The series begins in Book 1 with nine women who were raised as foster children in a single home run by Mrs. Stephanos. Each girl was given the responsibility to care for and admire one fascinating piece of this jewelry. Of course each piece was simply made of paste, wasn’t it? They could not be real. As the series progresses, through the current Book 3, the jewelry mysteriously appears to each woman who have had no connection since they left the home as teens. As the mystery deepens regarding the jewelry, the women begin to reconnect, their children meet and connect, and the jewelry appears and, at times, disappears, being coveted by jewel thieves who plot to steal it. The story is full of myriad plots, murders, kidnaping, drugs, illness, early death, deception, family discord and, as each Book winds down, ties are developed and relationships made and strengthened. Each Book has a satisfying ending, but you are anxious to see what happens next to all of the characters and their families. I am looking forward to the next in this series.

Exploited Innocence (The Twisted Deception Suspense Thriller Mystery Series Book 3) by Maggie Thom is an amazing read. This is book number three out of five in this amazing series that I have been so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about thrillers, suspense and mysteries.

A novel that maintains your interest. Taesa's mother has alzheimer's at a young age. She wants to get her into a program to help her. Also 8 foster sisters that had gems to look after while in foster care are now receiving these gems delivered to each of them. There are jew thieves who want to steal these gems at all costs. Well written and great characters.

Exploited Innocence is the third book in the Twisted Deception series and is a great addition to this series. The characters are developing nicely and there is a ton of intrigue, drama, and mystery to enjoy.

Great Series
This series gets more involved and has more twists and turns. The connections between the characters gets more involved as the story progresses. I can’t wait to read the next book.

February 1, 2022Today is publication day for Exploited Innocence. Since I wrote it, I can't rate it but of the books in the series so far, it is my favorite. Lots of twists and turns.
