Brought up in the school of hard knocks, Destiny thought she’d finally ‘made it’. Then she woke up to discover she’d been cleaned out. And things just got way worse in a huge hurry. As much as she hated cleaning, she was good at it and when she lost her job Destiny launched a maid service—with the help of a man she met at a wealthy gathering. Unfortunately, Max was a con man and he not only wiped her out, he cleaned out her clients, as well.
And they wanted reparation.
Destiny wasn't exactly thrilled, but she figured six months payback for the clients that had gotten screwed because of her carelessness beat the hell out of twenty years in a cell with 'Big Bertha'.
I loved this story. I loved how the heroine looked like crap when she met up with her high school crutch. There's this commercial that starts out like a contemporary romance but they end up hurting themselves and pulling hair, etc., not at all like you would imagine it was going to be. That's how most of their sexual encounters are, if they are not interrupted completely. This was such a great story, I'm having high hopes for this author's other works.
I liked the wit and basic plot of this book. However, there were HUGE loose ends left untied. Also, her inner dialog got old fast. It ended ridiculously as far as I'm concerned. And it just seemed, for a short story, it was really weak. Could have been even shorter! I also thought it was too much like an I Love (hate) Lucy show, too slapstick mishap-y. Didn't like that at all. plus...
