Bad Cop Diaries Book 2 - Jack Cannon’s sexy ex Will Tallman is a cop on the take…there’s nothing worse than a bad cop…or are appearances deceiving?

In this explosive sequel to Laid, a series devised by gay porn director John Bruno and written by A.J. Llewellyn, hotshot Los Angeles police Lieutenant Jack Cannon is back in action. With his lover Lucky out of town on assignment, Jack has too much time on his hands and too much aggression to wait patiently at home for him. With a multi-department takedown of a drug and gambling ring exposed in an old LA warehouse, Jack slips inside the ruined, crumbling building for some solo fun…except that a few other cops…and a bad guy or two have the same idea…some guys are just born to be bad…

Author’s Note: Every sex scene in this book was filmed for Massive Studios in a series of webisodes.

A.J. Llewellyn lives in California, but dreams of living in Hawaii. Frequent trips to all the islands, bags of Kona coffee in the fridge and a healthy collection of Hawaiian records keep this writer refueled.

A.J’s passion for the islands led to writing a play about the last ruling monarch of Hawaii, Queen Lili’uokalani as well as a non-erotic novel about the overthrow of her kingdom written in diary form from her maid’s point of view.

A.J. never lacks inspiritation for male/male erotic romances and on the rare occasion this happens, pursues other passions such as collecting books on Hawaiiana, surfing and spending time with friends and animal companions.

A.J. Llewellyn believes that love is a song best sung out loud.

Jack Cannon, the narrator of this increasingly hot story and a member of a new Violent Crimes Unit that is part of LAPD, is back indeed! With his lover out of town, and the criminals up to no good as usual, he certainly has his hands full. Add some slightly creepy activities in an old LA warehouse, and the mix of seediness and crime fighting is perfect.

Jack is still a dedicated cop who is determined to fight crime wherever he finds it. His pressure valve of choice used to be getting laid, but now that he’s been with his lover Lucky for two months, his perspective has changed. He has fallen so hard and so fast, that he’s not quite sure how he’ll control the jealousy he feels at the thought of Lucky going undercover again – in faraway London of all places! Meanwhile he has his hands full in LA with a corrupt cop who is out for revenge and some hot action, the criminals are up to no good, and he has promised Lucky he’ll be faithful! No, poor Jack doesn’t have it easy.

Lucky has turned out to be quite the surprise. He is clearly brilliant at going undercover and making the gangsters believe he is one of them, but that puts a definite strain on him – and his new relationship with Jack. It’s a good thing he is up to the challenge and has a few aces up his sleeves while he is at it!

If you like stories about hot cops who are tough as nails – until they meet their match in the bedroom, if you enjoy reading about what might go on in some of those old, abandoned warehouses, and if you’re looking for a read that is fun, intense, and hot all at the same time as springing a few surprises on you, then you will probably like this novella.

Nice short continuation to Laid.
The porn was hot (I could only imagine how it'd look as a film, lol. maybe I need to buy these web episodes xD) and I loved that Jack and Lucky have had a monogamous relationship even while being apart - guess I'm just tired of cheating and open relationships. Oh and jealous Lucky was cute too :)
Good interlude between Laid and Laid 3!

Review:
3.5 bad boy stars! Dirty, dirty hot!!

This is the second installment in the series, and in my opinion, way better than the first!! But brace yourself, there’s a ton of dirty, kinky sex!! And while it may be too much for some, I thought each scene was hotter than the last!! The plot of the story was interesting and I love the characters. I secretly love Jack, even though he’s a complete manwhore! This is a massively sexy series and not for the weak!

I wondered how Jack, who was very sexually active (read: man-slut) in the first book was going to be able to handle a separation from Lucky while Lucky is undercover in England.

The second book starts off with Jack internally declaring his love in typical guy fashion:

“'Here, have some of mine.' Lucky handed me the perfect bite of food. I swallowed it and watched him dip his french fry in the tartar sauce and swallow it. Two months I’d been with him. I’d never fallen so hard for a guy. I fucking wanted to be with him every single, waking moment. I wanted to fuck the breath out of him. I wanted to eat the food right out of his mouth. Oh yeah, I was sprung and it was gonna get worse. It was gonna get a lot worse, fast."

So, Jack has it bad for Lucky and Lucky wants him to be faithful while he is gone. Jack is only able to hope he can do it.

I was expecting this to be a book that allowed for Jack to fool around while Lucky was gone. To have them in an “open” relationship and establish that early on. Once we get through the first few pages and see that isn’t the case I shifted my expectations. Now I expected a plot driven book with sex taking a back seat to a complicated plot that I could only hope to follow. Ummm, yeah, not so much. AJ Llewellyn still found a way to make this book all about men having sex with men in unique and interesting ways.

While Jack is not the one having all the sex, the men of the LAPD are having sex everywhere, with all manner of suspects, inmates and other police officers ~ all on camera. I was struck with how little self preservation and cover your ass instincts Jack had. Everything he does throughout the book is liable to get him thrown into jail for multiple reasons but when it comes to sex, Jack can’t say no.

The book is one sex scene after another. The sex scenes are numerous, erotically and very directly written. It’s a wonderful one handed read but that really is all it is.

What a wonderful story. The way that AJ talks about retrosexing and food beating made me laugh. But then he adds the sergeant's (I think) obsession with white-out and the food rivalry with Homicide and I was rolling on the floor, trying to recover. I also really like the way the relationship between Jack and Lucky is more central in this book than in LAID (even though it's long distance). And oh, yes, the sex scenes were really hot as well. Whew.

I think that AJ did a GREAT job linking the sex to the rest of the story AND preserving his trademark sense of humor. What a writer he is! It feels like this series is only just starting to get off the ground and will gain momentum as AJ and Bruno find their way in this new type of co-operation.

I liked this second installment much less than the first story. Lots of sex and it was unashamedly written to resemble a porn video. It was fun following Jack Cannon but as a story on its own, it doesn't stand up. Nevertheless, I'm giving it 4 stars because I read Bad Cops starting from Laid 1 right through to Laid 3 and if you haven't read this short trilogy yet, I strongly recommend that you read the entire trilogy back to back, in one sitting.

You won't regret it.

lots of great sex scenes in various places between a host of different characters, all on camera mostly. It was like watching online porn shorts via reading a book. No real plot but a great one-handed read if that is what you are in the mood for.

(if that is what you are in the mood for, I would give this 4.5 stars)

There was absolutely no character development in this story. It was basically just Jack jerking off to pseudo-rape porn for the entire book...not something I have any ethical problem with. However, the story was a dud

Very funny sequel - Jack's internal dialogue was hilarious. Again short but I didn't mind as much with this follow up as I did with the 1st one.
