I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I had been curious to find out if/how the entire storyline would be resolved and what would become of the assorted and unique band of individuals I’ve come to know. Well, what a whirlwind of a tale it is. This final book in the series brings us up to date, interweaving the other stories with new adventures, all of which combines ultimately in a great crescendo of action. This is a fusion of many opposing forces. It contrasts bygone times with the current day, evil with good, the supernatural with the corporeal. It kept me hooked throughout with mythical creatures melting my heart, paranormal events intriguing me and with depictions of violence giving the evil element its own distinct weight. It touched various emotions as I travelled across the centuries and I couldn't predict where next in the story I was being lead with each turn of the page.
This novel, and the whole series, is quite the spooky and surreal ride.
I received this book free in return for an honest review. Reviewing it is an absolute pleasure because I have followed and thoroughly enjoyed the series since the first book. A four book series is a difficult trick to pull off. Is it really a trilogy with too much material? Definitely not in this case. The fourth volume expands on the backstories of the characters and the universe in which they live, while also providing a well rounded and very satisfying conclusion to the series. Questions are answered and we learn the fates of the characters we have come to know and love (or hate). The author skillfully weaves their stories together and ties them neatly by the end. If you haven't read the other books in the series, do so first and then you'll love this one. If you have read the other books, you won't need telling because you will have been dying for this one to come out! An excellent series from a very talented author.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Marie Cope fans will be delighted that the final book in her Bonds trilogy, Eternal Bonds, is now released. Drawing on her well-honed skills as a story teller, Cope takes the reader on a hard-hitting, visceral journey through the centuries to the present day in order to right an ancient curse. This is a race through time and a race against time. Gypsies, dragons, sirens and a deadly warlock hold sway over the ordinary human world, causing havoc and destruction. This is a fast-paced and dramatic story of betrayal, revenge, sorrow and loyalty. The elemental struggle is balanced by moments of love and tenderness. However, there are no guarantees who or what will triumph.
When you're feeling like cr*p, what you need is a book you can lose yourself in. This is that book.
Eternal Bonds is the final book in the Bonds series so, what else could Breccan have in its past?
Dragons and Sirens of course! 😆
This final instalment begins with another historical tale of cruelty and mistrust of those who are "different" - with extreme punishments for those who are seen to disobey the rules.
The past is brought into the present once more, but in the end, who can make the most appealing deal? And who will fall...?
I won't say much more to avoid major spoilers, but I will say that I was happy with the ending, even though the author has made me question IS THAT REALLY THE END? WHAT ABOUT...?
And, the tears in my eyes weren't just from coughing my guts up... 😥
And, most importantly... SPOOK IS A HERO! Somebody give that cat a crown! 👑
I will definitely be looking out for more books by this author, particularly ones about a certain lycanthrope! 😉
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I am a fan of supernatural fiction and had enjoyed the previous three novels in the series. The final instalment did not disappoint! I really enjoyed Eternal Bonds. Once again the author has woven a compelling tale that I could not put down. I found the chapters set back in time particularly enjoyable and cleverly written. The characters were relatable, even the villains had compelling back stories, which made them hard to hate. I would recommend Eternal Bonds and the Bonds series to anyone who enjoys supernatural fiction.
I received this book for free in exchange for an unbiased review. I really enjoyed the way all strands were brought together. If you've read the previous books in the series, this is a must! It was difficult to put down . Brilliant read.
The storyline was really good, but the ending left way too much unanswered - so much that as a reader you can’t even make a guess as to what could be. I would still recommend the series but don’t expect to get any finality.
