Stacey Stanton is a self assured Dominatrix. Imagine her surprise while attending a BDSM party, her former trainer brings along a new submissive.. Only this isn't any ordinary sub, he's her ex lover. Ben Reynolds is instantly attracted to the female Domme hiding behind the mask. Her curvaceous body makes him crave to serve her. Stacey and Ben parted years ago, she'd been unable to tell her big strong fireman that she was a Dom. Now he is on his knees in front of her. Stacey decides to take Ben for a night of sinful play. He doesn't recognize her behind the mask and the weight she's gained. She's never forgotten him and the idea of having this man at her mercy is a temptation that Stacey cannot resist. What happens when the night ends and the mask comes off. Will Stacey and Ben part forever or take a chance on a new beginning built on trust, total honesty and a love neither could forget?
As hard as I think about it- I can't give less than five stars for this. There's nothing I didn't like here...the sex is scorching, the characters likeable, so many emotions running high...I loved it. Sure, it's short, but I knew that beforehand and didn't expect too much character-development, so this fulfilled every expectation I had. It has uber-hot pegging (I'm a sucker for that, but if you're not: stay away), but the BDSM angle is very light, so nothing disgusting in here. It was entertaining, very hot- I liked it. A lot.
Stacey is a Mistress who lost her beloved 3 years ago because she wasn't brave enough to share her need to dominate with him. Turns out said beloved, Ben, wasn't brave enough to share his desire to submit with her. Serendipity for everyone!!
Stacey is at a BDSM party and sees her former trainer with a new pet. Guess who the pet is? Don't worry, I'll wait.
Did you guess Ben?
Good girl or boy
Binding Ben is very sweet, short, kind of like a cupcake. Mmmmm cupcakes…
The only thing that gave me pause was this:
He was so strong, so vital. She couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that her big, strong fireman was, indeed, a sub.
I don't care for that characterization at all. Otherwise it was a romantic, mildly kinky short.
This is short but is good but could have been so much better. They wrapped the story up too quickly and for me too much was left unanswered and untold. I think the author should revisit this one and build on what they have already written. This story could be phenomenal.
I liked this short, sweet story that is the rare non-mm / non-menage male submission theme. Likeable characters, even the Domme, who is usually annoying to me in these stories. Here she is emotional and Nice, not a raving maniacal sadistic byee-atch, like in many. Absent also is the terrible "cheating husband must be taught a lesson- theme", which I abhor.
My complaint is that is was WAY TOO SHORT... I wish there were more novels dealing with this type of love story, with good, solid real characters and a satisfying love story.
I'm a big sucker for femdom, so I knew this was going to please me. I also really love "getting back together" stories, especially when it comes to shorts because then you have some good idea that it is likely to work out.
I also really love when people don't try to go totally "by the book" about what goes on between two people and she was definitely my kind of domme. It's all about getting into someone's head and not finding out what they want, but what they *need*.
Cute short story, but I thought it could have been a little better in how it executed the big "reveal". That's all I am going to say so there are no spoilers.
Three stars for the smut, the storyline however isn't it 💀. I mean how do you not recognize the voice of someone you claim to love? Come on we're not stupid. Happy it worked between the couple but a better storyline would have sufficed.
Three years ago, the whirlwind romance between Stacey Stanton and Ben Reynolds came to a devastating end. Stacey’s a Dominatrix, and having hidden her dominant side from her strong, fireman boyfriend is part of what led to their relationship’s demise. Now Stacey’s back to her Dom ways, has gained some weight, and still trying to get over Ben. But when her former lover shows up at a BDSM party as a sub, Stacey realizes that there might be such a thing as a second chance at love.
Ben can’t believe his good fortune when the gorgeous, masked Mistress S chooses him for a night of passion. Having lost the woman he loved three years ago because of his fear over revealing his sexual submissiveness, Ben isn’t about to make the same mistake with his captivating new mistress. But will Stacey be able to take that final step and reveal her identity to the man she loves? And if she does, will Ben take a chance on starting over once more?
Wow! It may be an ineloquent turn of phrase, but I was utterly blown away by BINDING BEN. Having never read a book where the heroine was the dominant party, I was intrigued by the premise of this story. Not only did I find a fascinating tale, but a stunning, red-hot romance I can’t get enough of.
I’ll admit, I must have read BINDING BEN at least half a dozen times by now, sneaking it in to my day like a forbidden treat. Stacey is an utterly endearing heroine. She’s a Dominatrix, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t also vulnerable. She’s loved and lost when she wasn’t true to herself, and now that Ben has reappeared in her life, she needs to decide if she can take a chance to be open with the man she loves. Ben is sexy-as-hell and he’s also a mix of strength and vulnerability. Because I was so attached both Stacey and Ben, I couldn’t put the book down until I was certain they would be able to find happiness.
Readers beware: this book singes. I won’t deny that the love story is what keeps me coming back to the story, but have no doubt, BINDING BEN is scorchingly hot. Violet Summers has penned a masterfully erotic romance that is dangerously addictive. I can’t say enough good things about BINDING BEN, so I think I’ll just pick it up and treat myself to Stacey and Ben’s story once again.
Now that erotic e-books are gaining in popularity, it seems that the length requirement for books has shrunk considerably. A case in point is Binding Ben, deemed a “quickie" by its publisher, at 28 pages it would have been considered a longish short story not so very long ago. Certainly the story’s structure is more akin to a vignette than even a novella, since it has just the faintest whisper of a plot. Fortunately, it is a pretty good “quickie", although BDSM fans will find it to be on the mild side, hence the low kink rating.
At a BDSM masquerade a domme and a sub, previously a vanilla couple before acknowledging their true natures, are thrown together for some play activities. The domme is wearing a mask and has filled out some so the sub does not recognize her, but she is fully aware who he is. Despite four years passing neither has completely healed from the pain of losing the other, the love of their life, consequently the encounter is fraught with considerable inner angst on both sides. Even so, they soldier on through some fairly sensuous activities that culminate with Mistress Stacey taking Ben’s virginity with a strapon then, in a sweet romantic twist, ultimately they reunite as a couple.
I liked this story and think it should really be a 3.5, but since I can't give half stars and I round down, this is a 3. This is a well done domme story. There aren't that many out there with this level of sweetness and love. This is the second story from the duo writing team of Violet Summers with people hiding a part of their identity from their lover. That is never a good sign and as a person who does suppress a slice of myself, I can understand their reasoning. While this is a sweet happily ever after, unfortunately this doesn't happen in real life.
The story moved very fast since it was a short story. I recommend this to male subs and female dommes who enjoy kink and a bit of light BDSM.
