Fucked. I’m royally fucked.

After losing a very decisive battle, I find myself in the bed of the enemy. Except, he’s no longer the enemy. He’s about to become my mate.

Shit.

With only home and my boys on my mind, I have to find a way out of this mess, and a way to save my father from falling to this nasty piece of work. Even though I agreed to the terms of our fight, it was never specified how I was meant to treat my new mate.

Murdering a Pack mate now that I’m in his Pack is punishable by death. But perhaps I can challenge him? Something tells me he won’t allow that.

But it’s all I got. I need to get out of here.

This book contains dark themes.

Wolf Chosen has some parts in it that might upset some folks. Be warned. Tay (FMC) definitely comes into her own in this book. She was always a strong character (or I thought so) from the first book buts ages more bad*** in this 2nd book. She's still trying to work out her relationship out with her guys - Scott, Nathan and Jaye as well as training to be a huntress. Throw into the mix helping her pack. It's full on action paced and fast paced. This book is a bit darker but this series is getting better though. I can't wait for the last book now. This was a great read

A much darker sequel...

This book really good into a dark place emotionally. It hits you with a lot of issues that could be triggering, but it does it in a way to highlight the after effects of trauma and the use of support networks. The introduction of new characters was welcome and the ending cliffhanger has me excited for the next book!

This is a great addition to the Ashwood wolves series. Our female mc Taylor is a total badass who definitely has plenty of hurdles to face! It’s an intense, emotional read with some hot and steamy scenes and a twist I did not see coming!!

The protagonist has the emotional maturity and depth of a turnip. None of the characters are believable. Frustratingly boring and dull.

After enjoying the first book in this series I was excited to continue reading this series and be back with Taylor and her boys but after downloading the ebook I read the author note about the trigger warnings and I was then a bit apprehensive but the author had stated which chapters these scenes would be in and that it would have a warning written at the start of those chapters so i decided to start the book anyway and see how i felt when I got to the chapters and decide then if I felt up to reading them I was enjoying the book so I decided to go ahead and continue although I did feel a little uncomfortable reading those chapters I also felt it had a good balance to give the reader the details and understand what was going on with going deep in to the situations. I liked the new characters we met in this book Although definitely darker than the first book I did enjoy this one and plan to read the next book in the series

Book 2 *Spoiler Alert* Taylor's life dramatically changes in this book. She suffers abuse at the hand of a heartless Alpha and uncovers that this same Alpha is abusing his pack. I love how Taylor's character is a lot stronger in this book. Yes book 2 is darker than the previous one. If you have a problem with abuse in books then maybe give this one a miss. I think that its part of the story and it explains how Taylor comes out a stronger main character in the end. Lust of Wolves is a great follow up to Sins of Wolves. I think its a more grittier book altogether & the focus is more on Taylor than her reverse harem. Still i think it makes for a great 2nd book. Plus theres a great cliffhanger that leaves me eager for book 3. This series of books continues to get better & better

This was an intense second book in the Ashwood Wolves series. Lust of Wolves begins where we left off in book 1, Taylor had lost the battle for her hand and now she is being forced to marry a tyrant of the neighboring pack. I was not expecting the events in book 2 to happen the way they did. We don't get an immediate rescue, but the intensity of this book will have you on the edge of your seat. You won't want to put it down as Taylor literally has to fight for her life with her three wolves also fighting to get to her. New romances blossom and battles leave some dead. I can't wait for book 3 to find out what is in store for Taylor and her wolves.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
This book has some dark scenes so if you are easily disturbed, I recommend you read with caution. There are possible triggers in this book which includes rape.
This was a good second book to the series. I came across this author and have enjoyed the writing style.
This book picked up right where the last book left off. I did not see the twist in this book coming! Everything I thought this book was going to be, completed shocked me when it was so different from what I imagined.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!

Lust of Wolves is beautifully written! The darkest parts are written with just enough detail but not enough to be graphic. This is a fantastic, engrossing read that I finished in one sitting as I could not put it down. I love that Tay is incredibly strong but still has her weakenesses and needs the support of others. There are possible triggers in this book which includes rape. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.

Taylor

Richard mates Taylor and hurts her with his abuse. Something has to change, so she stabs him. Ray helps her to get away, but Richard pursues. Her father, lovers and aunt come after Richard. Richard injures her leg, before her family can fight him. Then Taylor ends him and takes over the pack. They help her set up the new pack. The older members who sided with Richard, leave and attack her father's pack and kidnap 3 she- wolves.

Beautifully written

It picks right up where book 1 left off. And jumps right into action. This book broke my heart I really felt for the MC. She such a strong MC to go through that she had still be kind and strong. I admire her. And I love how the entire book turned out. This series just got better and I can’t wait to how book 3 goes.

Rough!

This was a rough boom to get through, trigger warning. Not sure where J.E. is taking us, I hoping for a happy ending, but this book was far from being anything happy. So read this with lots of tissues!

*** Possible Trigger ***

First a warning, this book has violent rape scenes that could be a TRIGGER.
For me, this was an emotional book to read. I didn't see the twist coming. The thinks Taylor has to go through and experience had my emotions going crazy. I did a bit of crying with this book. This is a great middle book for the trilogy.
I recommend this book as long as you can handle the rape scenes.

*Before starting, please be sure to read the author notes about the trigger warnings. You will be given a heads up on chapter numbers that will include triggering topics.*

Wolf Chosen was such a fierce and heartbreaking addition to the Ashwood Wolves series. Even though there were some touchy situations in this book, I couldn't be happier with the route Cluney took. You truly get to see how strong of a character Taylor is, not just physically but mentally as well. She's a smart woman and acted exactly like an alpha would in her predicament, putting Pack before anything else. Her decisions were necessary but had outcomes that will most likely affect her greatly in the future. However, I think with the help of her Pack and her men, Taylor will be able to cope with her trauma.

In this second book the guys really seem to open up more emotionally. The feelings between them and Taylor are much more clear and expressed. The multiple points of view that we get while reading really help to gain perspective from each guy as they go through emotional turmoil with Taylor's decisions. The thing is that they can't be mad at her really, because her decisions were the best case scenario, she practically thought of everything ahead, so they knew it needed to be done. The battle between wanting to protect her and allowing her to do what is best for the Pack is ongoing and hard on them. Putting someone you love in a difficult and possibly harmful situation would make anyone go crazy.

The thing that most surprised me about this book was the personalities of the members of the Williamson pack. With an alpha like they had I expected much more hostility and for their thought process to be similar to their alpha. What we got were sympathetic wolves who were kind yet a bit broken down from being forced to live the lives they had been living. It amazed me that they were able to still find so much happiness around each other and still take care of one another how a Pack should. This is what makes me believe that Taylor will eventually be ok despite what happened to her. If this group of wolves could live with their old alpha and his actions, forced to obey or break rules, appease his sexual needs, and basically live in poverty, Taylor can push forward and find happiness as well.

The ending of this book took me by complete surprise but I couldn't be more excited for what will come next. It's going to be an uphill battle; I just feel it. But with her men and possibly someone new(?) I'm hoping Taylor will be able to take this Pack life by the horns and take charge of her life just like she wanted to. Perhaps not in the way she originally planned, but maybe the way that fate and the Packs need her to.

**Trigger Warnings so read the authors warning**

First things first I love me some JE Cluney. She never fails to write an amazing book. So here we have the second book in the Ashwood Series. Remember Tay wanting to be a huntress and her dad flipping out because she has more than one mate. Even though she is not ready to take that next step with them. She wants to focus on training and getting out there to help the packs. Unfortunately someone has approached the council about her becoming a mate to another alpha. An alpha who has caused problems with her pack in the past. This man is not a good man. His pack fears him and he seems to not care about them like he should. So what does she do. She decides that she will challenge him. I mean come on, I know you are an amazing fighter and you have alpha blood in you that helps out. But to go up against an alpha. Then things take a turn and a twist. I did not expect how things were going but dang it was good. I cannot wait for what will happen next.

I really like this novel better than book one. It was frustrating as well, but it was a good type of it as well. I just wished it was longer than well. It was more paced and had fewer sex scenes than book 1. Not that I don't like sex scenes, but in book 1 it was like almost every ten to fifteen pages between all the sex scenes.

It had triggers with rape, so it is marked at the beginning of the chapters that had it. It wasn't very graphic scenes, but we knew it was rape. It focus on it either; it came, and it was gone. We got an aftermath of her thoughts. I wish it was longer with her thoughts as well.

I did like Taylor coming into her own more in this book too and had a few issues about her fighting at first. In my mind, it was her father's choice to do what he did, but she had to take that away from him. I understood it, but it didn't mean I had to like it.

Now, we might get a fourth mate and I do hope it comes out with it. Now, book 3 is calling my name to read it.

Some TRIGGER moments but worth the read!!

Be warned there's some TRIGGER moments toward the end of the story that contribute to the story and will leave Tay on a totally new path but definitely worth the read. Tay is a strong and independent she wolf who just wants to spend time with her three men while learning to be a huntress. Things take a turn for the worst and Tay has more to deal with than just an angry Dad the alpha of her pack. I loved the fact I never knew what would be thrown at Tay next while there were still a seriousness to it. There was also a softer side to it with some heated moment with Tay and her men who we've all grown to love so mush since the last time we saw them especially how they desperately try to keep Tay safe. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter in Tays story and what they have installed for her next, I can't wait!!

What a sequel!
Pay attention to the trigger warnings in this one but if you’re ok with it then it’s definitely worth it!
Taylor most definitely comes into her own in this one, she’s not afraid to put the safety of her pack above her own concerns and future dreams - it takes a brutal turn when taken by a rival alpha but she holds her head high throughout and her inner strength shines through 💪🏻
Her men are really put through the ringer in this one with Taylor’s decisions regarding being a Huntress and her decisions in dealing with Williamson pack but although they’re shaken it’s clear they adore her and it really comes through in their connection 😍
It becomes clear Taylor was made for more at the end of this and I’m excited to see what she does now in the next instalment! 😀

JE Cluney follows up her first book in the Ashwood Wolves series, with Wolf Chosen.

There are so many things to share! Tay is a bada$$ wolf shifter that is constantly trying to protect her pack, while caring for her fated mates, and adjusting to her father’s actions.

In this book, there are several triggers that must carefully be considered, before reading. Overall Tay shows her internal strengths and overcomes heartbreaking situations that may continue to haunt her into the next book. Of course, the evil that lurks, waiting for her, and the rogues, whom she continues to take out as a huntress, will further play an integral part in the series.

A strong book, in a developing series, that promises more action to come.

I really enjoyed this duet. And the dynamics of this packs life. Taylor was a strong character right from the start and she even continued to get strong throughout the second book. Her relationships with each of her guys was so different and I loved that they each brought out a different side to her personality. Her father the Alpha and Richard the Alpha of the Williamson pack have there beff..and Neema her aunt helps her prepare to be a strong huntress. And we also meet some new characters from the Williamson pack! The ending was awesome. I really liked how it turned out. I didn't see that coming at first...it was a cool idea. Loved it!

Wow JE Cluney really ramps it up in book two. So much happens and fair warning there is a trigger warning that you should heed before reading. This read is intense and you are completely invested in Taylor and her guys. She is a bada$$ character but she really has that vulnerable side that needs her men along. There are twists and turns and it is defiantly action packed. I know that the next book from is going to step it up even more. One minor thing is that at times I don't feel the connection 100% of the time between Taylor and her guys. Other than that I absolutely loved this booked and excited for more from this unique universe.
