Thoughts:
All the stories and poems were great! I enjoyed all of them so it is hard to pick favorites out of this collection!
Holiday stories are fun to read especially when there are horrors that lie within them and this book had a few story collections of Christmas stories gone wrong and weird. There are also a few poems too that were fun to read. All in all a great collection of the bizarre and strange of Christmas horror stories. Giving this book four "Holiday Horrors" stars!
"Slay Bells Ring" by J. D. Allen. I was sent my copy in exchange for a honest review.
This was such a ❄️ cool ❄️ collection. There were a variety of stories inside that really utilized Christmas in the stories themselves and the character names. I love the cover and the different colored red and green font inside each story, I wasn't expecting it to continue past the Table of Contents. There are even a few poems inside of this collection that will make you shiver.
"Snow Angels", "Down Thru The Chimney" and Re-Gifted" were definitely my favorite stories. "Snow Angels" was such a sad tale in comparison to the infidelity you'll find in "Re-Gifted". "Down Thru The Chinney" you just have to read for yourself 😉
This was the perfect book to close out 2022 with and I look forward to reading more from Allen in the future.
From short stories to poems, all give chilling thrills for your holiday season. Perfect for long winter nights when the glow of the season needs a tint of red and taste of blood. Happy reading!
