Commander Colton found the perfect woman for him… one driving a car full of stolen guns.

Colton:
She’s twenty years old. She’s too young for this life.
Which is why I need to protect her.
Kinsley York needs the help of an older man.
Someone who will save her from the gang she’s mixed up with.
I’m that man. Even if I am almost twice her age.
But Kinsley isn’t good at following rules.
As a police officer, I’m honor-bound to follow the law.
And she ought to be punished for breaking it, right?

Commander Colton is book three in the Protect & Serve: Cops Love Curves series that features alpha male police officers going above and beyond the law for curvy citizen vixens. These sinfully sweet treats can be read in any order.

Happily ever after guaranteed! ♥

Tropes included: older man younger woman, pregnancy, and over-the-top steamy scenes that’ll make you blush.

Cute

This is a cute instant-lust story about an Alpha man being in the right place at the right time to save the gun-running-damsel in distress!

This was absolutely silly and cringe with the way everything including the kitchen sink was thrown at it, but despite that it was kinda cute!

Abuse . . .

Beating Kinsley with a belt is not a scenario I want to hear about and definitely not be given vivid details of the experience. Not for me EVER. Put a warning on your book. I would never have offered to review this one if I knew about this.

The title mentions “protect” and “love”. It is anything BUT love to beat someone, least of all with an object. This is not love, this is not caring, and this is not “corrective punishment”. It is abuse at its worst by someone she should have been able to trust.

She crashed into his life like a wrecking ball, but the results were so worth it

Commander Colton is the third book in the Protect & Serve: Cops Love Curves series. This story is about Kinsley York and Commander Colton Alexander. Kinsley is twenty years old and living in Miami when she gets fired from her serving job. Two weeks later and with rent coming up she needs to find work. What she does next is stupid but the payoff is too big for her to not accept. So later that week she finds herself driving a strangers car to Mexico City with a slight unexpected detour. Colton is thirty-seven years old and is a Commander with the Tallahassee Police Department in Florida. When he stops to get a slushie to cool off he finds a young woman out back who is looking very upset. When he offers to help her she is quick to decline and say nothing is wrong. But something seems off to him and the more he asks questions the more it looks like she may have got herself into something. When he finally discovers the whole truth he knows that she is too sweet and innocent to know about this and he has to protect her. So he takes her to his house and then the real fun begins as Colton has a "special" room in the basement which is about to see some action when Kinsley just can't resist the temptation of snooping around. But Kinsley is not the only one keeps secrets and Colton is not giving his up nearly as easily as she has. But they both know that they are meant to be together, even with all their differences.

This is a fast-paced and entertaining story which I enjoyed reading.

I love Kelsie’s books especially when they include all the feels and an HEA. This short and steamy book is an age gap romance between Commander Colton and Kinsley. When Kinsley finds herself in trouble, she’s lucky that it also brought her to Colton. Determined to make her safe and keep her that way, Colton begins their awesome story. Their ending is beautiful and perfect for these two. Definitely check it out!!

Wow....I guess

Personally, I'm not into overly short stories. I like plots and a storyline. I like a little more in depth details.

But, this is a great read as a go between as well. The spice is there for the simplicity that it is and it's a short piece you can finish in less than an hour.

I do like Colton....even for the briefness, he commended me, I just wish there was more.

The premise of the book was solid and could have definitely have been a good read if the author had expanded the story line and had given us more chemistry and backstory to the characters instead of the love at first sight over a 20 year old virgin and 30+ year old divorcee. You were unable to feel or like the characters with the rush of the story and weren’t able to really enjoy the relationship with how fast it all happened

The author has given us a fast paced, quick read that pulls us into the lives of Colton and Kinsley and does not let go. When they first meet, they have an instant connection that causes Colton to want to protect Kinsley no matter what.

Heart warming

I like the book,it was an unexpected story Kinsley wanted an easy bulb for some quick money little did she know what she was getting into. Colton suspected something was wrong but being a gentleman he was willing to help Kinsley. The story was interesting, the chemistry was of the chain ,I would highly recommend it.

Great little read. I’ll be honest, it did make me cringe a few times, but all in all it wasn’t bad! I feel like some of it was a bit cliché, and fairly predictable. The spicy scenes were quick, granted the book itself is only 45 pages, so to be expected, but not bad! Nice refresh after my last book hangover!

-2.5 stars-

The idea of this book was great. I liked the story and thought behind it. It was an easy and short read I received on stuff your kindle day.

I highlighted a handful of errors and noticed some of the wording and grammar could use some heavy refining.

They didn't kiss until the epilogue. When did they fall in love? I feel like I missed something.
