Hants

Rate this book
This exciting novel is set in southern New Hampshire during the first half of the twentieth century. Hants, a three generation family farm, links the beginning and end of the dramatic action.   The story encompasses a love that spans fifty years and conquers what appears to be life’s cruelest blow. Angeline Sylvester finds herself in the unenviable position of being engaged to lawyer Ward Shaw, who manages her inheritance and simultaneously, deeply in love with Brad Austin, who is her superior at work.   One of the two men takes advantage of her naivety. As a result, the balance tips in favor of the other. Does Angie become Mrs. Shaw or Mrs. Austin?   Years later, the unlucky suitor threatens to destroy Angie’s happiness; resulting in a near death experience, a potential environmental disaster, contempt of Court and the laying of criminal charges.
