When they were young, life tore them apart. Now, fate throws them together again, but will their reckless passion threaten to separate them forever... Abandoned by the people who were supposed to care for them, Python and Zelda meet in an Arizona group home. Finding strength in each other they forge an incredible bond while coping with life as troubled teens—then fate interferes. Eight years later, destiny thrusts them together again. Fresh out of prison, Python never expects to see Zelda riding with the vicious president of the Night Devils. He patches-in to unearth her secrets, and their passion reignites. Secret rendezvous and stolen moments only make them yearn for more, but if they are found out the consequences will be fatal. They tempt fate once too often, and when the MC president spirals out of control, Python must make an impossible admit his love for Zelda, and put both their lives in jeopardy, or deny his feelings, and live forever with PAST REGRETS. Past Regrets is a steamy, standalone bad boy biker romance. Although it is book five in the Serpents MC Las Vegas Series, enjoy it in whatever order you like with lots of heat and a guaranteed HEA!

I knew this was going to be good when I see who wrote this book. I have loved the previous book and this one killed it too! Everything I like in my MC books was in here.
Python and Zelda met years ago in a group home and their bond became strong and then things changed. Years later and Python is just released from prison and then he spots Zelda on the back of the bike driven by Night Devils MC Prez. He has to find out what’s going on with her so he patches into the club.
I highly recommend this book and if you get the chance, you should check out more of the books by this author.

This was so hard to read because it was just SO sad. I hit every range of emotion. This is a gritty story about two young teenagers that meet in a foster situation and fall in love. Neither of their lives start off easy and their connection with each other is their only bright moment.
It was just SO hard reading this with any hope and happiness. As a reader, I don’t enjoy these types of novels but that does not diminish the fact that I felt the situations and the moments presented were portrayed amazingly accurately and there were times while I was reading it that I almost felt like I was there.
I enjoyed reading about how Python, came to be. The author did a great job telling us about his "beginnings." (She really knows her characters.) Even as a young child, he had a sense of caring - the protector. He also learned that love didn't always end in a HEA. It made him stronger. I also enjoyed reading how the club came to be and how the other members got their names. Looking forward to the next book!
Unforgettable heartbreaking regret, but surviving none the less Past Regrets/Python: Serpents MC Las Vegas Book 5 by Barbara Nolan is a well written accounting of Python’s past. This author delved deeply into Python and brought this character to vivid life, sometimes through Zelda’s eyes. Anyone having already read Beyond Regret will have a great appreciation for his character, choices, emotions and the forces that drive him. Python’s past is gut wrenchingly heartbreaking, and despite his self destructive tendencies, finds resiliency within and still manages to persevere. The plot of this book, the majority of it from Python’s perspective, is showing fans of this series what events shaped Python leading up to Beyond Regret. For anyone new to the series, it really won’t have mattered if you haven’t read the previous books, but I highly encourage you to devour the whole series. Each one is unique while also seamlessly tying into the other. For Past Regrets, the plot is Python’s younger life, the ups and downs, ins and outs of young adulthood and all the trappings of a hard life, difficulties and no support. By the end, I was oozing sympathy and care for Python. Beyond the history of Python, I really loved the in-depth look of the Serpents MC itself. This building of the MC and how it, as well as each member, came to fruition was exciting and even a bit hopeful for this newly formed band of brothers. Overall, this is a tension-filled book with plenty of scenes that will either having you grabbing the edge of your seat, feeling emotionally drained, cheering these characters on and hoping for the best or wishing you could wrap Python up and hug the hurt away. A very good book, plenty of steam, lots of love and tenderness for Zelda, Python’s true and unforgettable past regret. While there’s no HEA for this ending, rest assured, throughout the series, the individuals in the Serpents MC each find their own. I read an ARC of this book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
This was a difficult book to read I have to say. I couldn't write my review straight away as I had to spend sometime thinking about what I had just read.
My emotions were certainly all over the place with this book. The rollercoaster ride was definitely in play here and at times I just wanted to get off.
Both Python and Zelda had such sad back stories it was really sad to read and yet so pleasing that they found each other not once but twice.
Their chemistry was really lovely to read and especially their sexy time together was hot.
I was thrown when tragedy happened and I was in a daze for the remainder of the book I have to say. I think I kept waiting for something to happen and yet it never did.
It was very interesting to find out how things came to be after that. The characters that came together to create the club were really cool to read and see how things progressed.
Overall, it was an easy book to read. A book that invokes emotions is a good book thats for sure. If you like MC books with lots happening, good the bad and the ugly then this is the book for you.
I am voluntarily leaving this review. This was a great story, it will have you hooked from page one. It is the 5th book in a series but can be read as a standalone. It’s more of a prequel/backstory of how Python came to be in the Serpents MC. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series yet, but I plan on it!
DJ/Python grew up with a hard childhood. He trusted no one and loved no one. Starting out on the wrong path, he found himself in a lot of bad situations. Then as the years progress, he finds himself in another bad situation that leads him down the path of heartbreak and turmoil. When he meets a man, he finally starts to turn his life around and realize that he can trust some people.
There are trigger warnings, and there is heartbreak. But I’m excited to see how his life turned out and if he can finally realize there is someone out there that he can love again.
Another exciting read from Nolan. Nolan did an excellent job naming this book and clearly outlining what a regret looks like. Python reminds me of a nomad, or a traveler. When life gets tough, or sparks too much emotion and fragility, he leaves. Python lives with painful regrets and reminders of the past. Throughout this book he reflects on everything he has lost.
About the book: Python was raised in the foster care system. He met a girl named Zelda there. They really hit it off, but Python runs with a rough crowd and lands himself in prison. When he gets out he works at a bar, and sells stuff on the side. He reunites with Zelda, but soon finds out she is with another man. He is torn by this ,but has a decision to make. Does he follow her, or start somewhere new?
Closing: I recommend this book. I like the in-depth look at Pythons character. He has not had an easy life, but at some point he has to stop running. He is tough, honorable, and protects those who are less fortunate. Women, children and animals are treasured by him.
Past Regrets is the sixth book in the Serpents MC Las Vegas series. This is the story of Zelda and Python and it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion that you will not soon forget. Be warned to read the trigger warnings or you may just regret it, as at times this story grabs your heart and literally will rip it out of your chest with the things both characters had to deal with in their pasts. But in all the darkness there is also the light of love that shines on Zelda and Python, even as others may try to extinguish it.
The Serpents are an awesome group of guys. Pythons story was crushing. From beginning to end, it seemed like every thread that Python and Zelda tried so desperately to cling to was doomed to fail. His union with Cobra was a great game changer and their beginning was so unique. Loved hearing where the other leaders came from, too. Fantastic book!
Past Regrets tells the story of Python's life prior to book six of the Serpents MC Las Vegas series, Beyond Regret/Python. It's an excellent prequel to Beyond Regret. This book really helped me get to know the character. Python might be a one percenter but he's also a really decent and likable guy with a good heart. It was great to see how the birth of the Serpents MC, too. 4.5 stars.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved reading Python's story, about his past. It's a page turner that delivers. I was glued to the pages reading this needing more as I turned each page. This hits you hard in the feels. It'll surprise you in unexpected ways. It's a very good book.
I met Python and the other guys in Beyond Regrets which is where Python gets his HEA. I loved this story because we get the background information on him and what got him to Beyond Regrets. I loved him and Zelda together. The chemistry was there. I fell in love with Python and this story just made me love him more. It was great to see how he met the other guys and how the Serpents MC got started.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Love this story of young innocence growing to love. The biker lifestyle is intense. Grief when loss invades Python had me in tears. But life is good in the long run.
This is the 5th book in this incredible series and is Python and Zelda’s story. These two meets in a group home, and as troubled teens they forge a strong and unbreakable bond, until fate steps in and tears them apart. Now Python is newly released from prison and is shocked when he finds out that Zelda is riding with the President of the Night Devils MC, so he signs up with them to be close to her and discover why she is with him. This is a well written story with undeniable chemistry, secrets, passion, regrets, emotions, danger, suspense, and love, which all leads to a heartwrenching and steamy addictive page turner, which had me on tenterhooks throughout. I look froward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
This is the story I didn't know I wanted/needed . . .
. . . and now that it's here, I'm so glad to have the rest of Python's story.
Past Regrets is the story of where Python was before Beyond Regret, and while it has it's very heartbreaking moments, it is also filled with moments of love and belonging and definitely gives the reader a more clear picture of who Python is and why he is who he is and why he lives his life the way he does.
If you've read Beyond Regret, then you most definitely need to read Past Regrets. If you haven't read Beyond Regret, then start with Past Regrets . . . you'll be glad you did.
A MUST READ from Barbara Nolan's Serpents MC Las Vegas series!!!
I received an ARC of Past Regrets and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed reading Python's beck story and learning how he came to be. My heart goes out to both him and Zelda for the pain they both went to as kids and I love that Python rescued Kobi.
Python and Zelda meet each other in an Arizona group home. They form a bond and take care of each other but things don’t work out for them. Now years later they are brought together again when Python sees Zelda riding with the Night Devils. Python patches into the Night Devils to get closer to Zelda and to find out why she’s there. This is filled with great characters, undeniable chemistry, tension, danger, and love.
Python and Zelda broke me. I laughed, I cried and loved going back in time and seeing his life before he and Cobra formed the Serpents MC. Now I have to back and re-read Beyond Regret because I haven't gotten my fix of Python yet. This is a must read and can before or after Beyond Regret.
He didn't have the best beginning and has many regrets. Will he find solace and purpose?
Have to say, that I liked having this to explain his past and struggles. I loved how despite the hand he was dealt, he did care about others and was determined to do what he could to help them, even if it screwed him in the end. Definitely can't wait to read his book now!
