Good, quick read - The Tornado

3¾ stars. My home state of Kentucky, along with several other states was slammed by storms and multiple tornadoes a week ago this Friday/early Saturday am. There was lots of ravaged areas, in fact, a lot of places obliterated, so much so that you couldn't tell what once stood. It did not hit my home area or my family's, but it still affected me because it caused so much damage, dislocation, and unfortunately fatalities.

I relate well to the people in this story because although no tornado hit my neighbourhood, I cam still relate to the of mother nature.

The Tornado

There was a bad tornado that tore a line of damage through the town. Auenti Lavenia was hurt badly and passed away. New people came to help the tornado ravaged town recover. Dawn met Jonas and His sister as they helped rebuild and help the local amish. Dawns boyfriend turned into someone she didn't recognize nor liked. She broke up with him and then Jonas asked if th

A nice Amish read

An event -- in this case a tornado -- will bring out the best and the worst in others. Both happens in this nice fairly short story. A four-star read but an action sequence near the end was never resolved. And this raised-on-a-farm gal KNOWS it would have to be. That reduced the rating to three stars.

Sometimes God changes our direction

This story is about a amish community. I enjoyed and recommend this book. Dawn was trying to get to her aunt when a tornado came. But her aunt was hurt. Tornados hit n miss. Sometimes barns, and buildings , and houses are destroyed. Lives changed. But God is with us. Read this story and see what happens.

Sweet story, albeit rather predictable. However, these Amish romances usually are predictable. It was a little sad too. I was interested in this story though, having grown up in an area that suffered a number of hits from tornados. It was written in a rather simple manner, but a light and quick read. I do like this author’s books.

Through tragedy can come good.

The loss during a tornado, proves that we all need each other. God answers prayers and opens new directions for others. Helping others is a community service.

New Hope

I loved this tragedy turned love story. The characters are great and portray the true Amish values and way of life, helping neighbors in time of need but most of all trusting God in all situations.
