This is the third book in the Valentini family series and the first in the Revelation Duet.
I love how all her books connect into the same world. I’m obsessed with the world Serena has created.
Aurora Valentini is her brother’s unofficial consigliere. She wants respect and not to be judge because she is a women. She doesn’t mind that people fear her, if it gets her what she wants. Aurora is a master manipulator and she will not hide behind anyone. She keep her personal life extremely private but only one person know everything about her and that is Hunter. She hasn’t talked to her best friend Hunter in years. Hunter is now the new Don of the Camorra. He has been in love with Aurora since he was thirteen but she only ever saw him as a friend. He determined to finally make Aurora his. This book gives us more of the history between the Aurora and Hunter over the years. I love how much Hunter cares about Aurora and all things he did just to have her. Also what he learned about himself along the way. And when this couple finally gets together, their connection is so intense and hot that you will need to fan yourself when reading it.
The book leaves you with such an intense cliffhanger and I can’t wait for next book in September.

Serena always amazes me, her stories are so intricately woven with breadcrumbs, snippets, and secrets that I'm always left guessing and wanting more! This entire world that she's weaved around the Five Points Mob, Sinners MC, and now the Valentinis is just mind blowing! And I'm always left craving more more more!
This story grips you from the get go, Aurora and Hunter grew up together, but things are never that simple or easy! They haven't spoken in over fifteen years, but a combination of fate and determination brings them back together again 😍
I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give spoilers so all I'll say is - PICK UP THIS SERIES I promise you won't be disappointed! 🖤
The amounts of effort Serena puts into her words, the detail she puts in, and the obvious research she has done really pays off in her grippingly poetic writing style!

"i always knew we were twin souls. this merely confirms it. now, be a good girl and do as i ask."
i had never fallen for a couple this hard as fast as i did at the very start of this book (they managed to surpasse eoghan and inessa, taking their place as my favorites). given i'd already loved both hunter and aurora going into the first half of their story, it still took me off guard how right they were for each other, in a way i still can't fully grasp.
truth be told, this book was not what i was expecting at all, but that's the beauty of serena's work; she doesn't just stick to a formula that works for her, she perfects her craft every single time and somehow it amazes me as much as it doesn't surprise me in the slightest how seamlessly she plans to the finest detail, the minutiae of the universe she has created webbing into intricate connections that call back to all the books beforehand, telling the bigger picture as if it was all one story, with an ease that makes you a part of it, as if you're living it yourself. and the promise of that cliffhanger, what it means not only for the main couple but for the rest of the valentini's series and the five points' as well just cemented the dimension of this universe, the never-ending potential of becoming bigger and better, which it does with every book as if it wasn't already perfect to begin with.

Mind blown! And that ending? Whoa! Get ready for the ride of your life as you pick up this book and start turning the pages. The heat is off the charts! Hunter and Aurora are now my favourite couple! Do check the trigger warnings.
Aurora Fitzwilliam and Hunter Lachlan. They have known each other almost their whole lives, from kindergarten through to adulthood. They've been through many events together, ranging from happy times to sad. Hunter has decided that this is finally his year to make Rory his. He's tired of being just a friend when he's loved Rory for so long. After putting a mutual friend between them to act as a referee and buffer, things have come to a head as their past becomes their future. The dynamic between these two will set the world on fire as the heat between them is out of the stratosphere. They have hidden so much of themselves away in the past and now the future has ripped away the blinders to showcase their new relationship in a way that can't be contained. From friends to lovers, learning all the nuances of how to navigate a new lifestyle they have both only visited online, Hunter and Aurora will face obstacles that only they can overcome as a unified couple. Aurora lives on the east coast and Hunter on the west. How do you make a long distance relationship work in this day and age? Especially when you both belong to different crime families and you have different roles within those organizations.
Serena Akeroyd never disappoints when taking you on a trip through the twists and turns of her writing brilliance. The intricate lives she creates on the pages are so interesting and full of depth. You can fall into the story and get lost, only resurfacing when you have to stop and give yourself a moment to breathe, to digest exactly what has occurred. It's no wonder she is my favourite author. I devour her books and the characters are so memorable. I want them to come to life so I can interact with them in real time. The universe she has created draws you fully in making you wish you were one of her characters.
Audiobook Review:
The Revelation Duet of The Consigliere and The Oracle, done by Joe Arden and CJ Bloom, totally blows my mind and earphones right out of the stratosphere. I can close my eyes and picture Joe as Hunter and CJ as Aurora so clearly, as if they were standing in front of me. Listening to the nuances of their voices takes you on the audible journey of a lifetime. Joe Arden has the best male voice in the industry and listening to him and CJ together is hotter than anything you can imagine. The growl in Joe's voice is just what every female dreams of hearing. Joe is the quintessential Camora mobster in this duet and CJ does Aurora to perfection. Sit back and be ready to have your mind blown.

The Consigliere is brought to life in this audiobook and it was a pleasure to listen to the story of Hunter and Aurora.
I fell in love with these characters whilst reading and I was hooked on the audio version from the beginning.
Joe Arden was amazing as Hunter, both in his Don and Dom personas. He was ably supported by CJ Bloom as Aurora, bringing the sassy sub to life. These narrators draw you into the story so much so, that you feel that you are there with them. The spicy scenes in particular made my ears sizzle 🔥🔥.

I was so excited to read more about the fascinating Valentini family, and in The Consigliere, we get the beginning of Aurora (Rory) and Hunter's story.
Let me tell you, I was left spinning and begging for more!
There is not as much action, but what we do get is the backstory and history between the two main personae and if you thought you knew this couple... think again...
What we do find out is how far Hunter will go; to gain Rory's trust, to break down her self-imposed barriers, to be the one to help her heal and to come to terms with her past, and to help her become the Goddess she is.
I loved their initial interactions (can't say more - spoiler) and the enduring understanding and loyalty Hunter shows... swoon.
If you like intrigue, steam, (lots of steam, including Dom/sub) interesting characters, great storytelling then this is for you. Read and be amazed, I was.

WOW. I ended up reading this twice through because after the first read I kept thinking about….pretty constantly. There’s so much to unpack in this book, and it’s just all amazing - though I’m not a huge fan of these cliffhangers that are trying to kill me. Aurora is such a tough woman, her dislike of Jen makes me also dislike her a bit, but as you get to know her and more of her family’s backstory it’s obvious why she is the way that she is. The author does a fantastic job making the reader feel all of Aurora’s grief, distress, shame, guilt, etc. over having kinks that aren’t mainstream vanilla AND that these kinks go directly against her public and work persona. Hunter is an interesting male lead. He doesn’t seem automatically alpha - but he really is in his own way. Watching him come into his own and matching with Aurora is/was delicious. Another phenomenal job by this author and I’m dying for the second book in the duet.

Call the fire 🔥 department my kindle is burning my entire neighbourhood down !! Yes that how hot this book is. Hunter & Auroras book couldn’t be hotter no matter how hard you tried.
Dialling back the heat a bit, Hunter has wanted Aurora since they were both children. Now many years later, Auroras first husband has been “dispatched” by Hunter (in true Mafia style) for raping Auroras and Hunters best friend.
Hunter has become the new Don, passed onto him by his grandfather who has been sent to prison. Aurora is her Brothers Consigliere. But it’s at her brothers wedding that both Hunter and Aurora realise that the “online Dom Sub relationship” they both had was not with some stranger but with each other. Aurora, has to be a strong dominating women to survive in the male dominated mafia, who think women are just baby making machines to ensure the family line doesn’t die out. She is ashamed of her sexual preferences and it takes time for her to accept that Hunter knows that she needs a dominant male to punish her.
I’m very confused with all these mafia families and who’s where working with who and where but I’m not sure I really care. All the male egos jostling for prime position with in “The councils” and who’s trying to join forces with who to bring them down adds a whole other dimension to the characters giving you a chance to see just how different they are in private and out there keeping their mafia wheels turning and at the top of their respective “kingdoms”.
If I wasn’t confused before the final chapter I most definitely was by the end. Whatever is going down is huge and I can’t wait to get my hands on The Oracle and get back in there to sort this mess out in my head. Warning this is addictive reading !!

If I could give this 10 stars I would do it in a heartbeat! Hunter and Aurora bring the heat and the spice to their story and I am here for it!!! I love aspect of their relationship and it is one of my favorite things Serena writes about, mainly seeing it in Cruz and Filthy King!!! Seeing it so amazingly written with Hunter and Aurora made this now in my top 3 of this whole universe!!! The spice is 🔥🔥🥵🥵 with these two and I have a feeling it is only going to get better on book 2!!
I throughly enjoyed watching this friends to lovers dynamic play out and once a certain plot line played out I loved how quick it was. It was not drawn out and I loved seeing the background of the characters get told. As always I loved seeing my man Luciu show up cuz he is 🔥 and also is one of my favorites!!
Of course with this being the first book in the duet of course it ends on a cliffhanger but oh my was it a good one. I eagerly await The Oracle and can’t wait to see the remaining plot lines play out! Serena is amazing at what she does and the fact that this is the 3rd separate family in this universe arhat includes the Feckers and Sinners is just amazing!! How she can keep all of these story lines and plots running throughout the this massive universe just blows my mind and I can’t wait to see what she does next!!

Serena has delivered another amazing book that is filled with passion, lust, secrets, and devotion! Hunter & Aurora are a dynamic duo. Both of brilliant in their own rights but when they come together it’s beyond explosive! Aurora has dark needs and she has always had a hard time satisfying them until she meets “D”online and he gives her everything she has ever needed. When she learns D’s secret she can’t imagine her life without him in it! She can’t believe that her life can be this fulfilling and being with Hunter makes it all more meaningful! They both have a lot of darkness in their pasts but when they are together nothing else matters but them. Hunter has been in love with Aurora forever and he refuses to let her runaway from what they have. He knows she can be fragile but he has everything she needs and more! When they come together it’s explosive!! You will be fully satisfied in every way when you delve into their relationship!
However, being important members of the mafia makes their lives in constant danger and no matter how hard they try their lives will never not be their own. As always, there are several factors beyond their control but as long as they are together they can overcome anything or at least we hope they can!!! You will devour this book and you will be on pins and needles till the very end! Hunter & Aurora are my new favorite power couple. I need the mob like I need the air I breathe ! I know I’m a suck and twisted puppy but these people grow on you and you come so invested in them and their lives 😱😉❣️
So Hunter and Aurora (Rory ) have been together since kindergarten days but both come from powerful families and with that power comes sacrifice and expectations and more often than not there’s a hefty price to pay …..
An incident occurred that split them them up but years later their paths cross again and like a smouldering fire 🔥 things just take off again ….
Rory is a force to be reckoned with and she’s strong willed but the fact that she just gives herself over to Hunter tells me she just wants to let go and be Rory , does that make sense ? The fact that Hunter goes to the extremes he does to please her as a Dom speaks volumes of the affection he has for her , these big boys are actually gentle giants at heart ….
There’s so much I want to say but know this watch out world Rory and Hunter are a force to be reckoned with and with their power and their love nothing can or will stop them , try yes , succeed no 🙃

The consigliere book 3 in the Valentini family and wow Aurora and Hunters story and what can I say it was amazing. They have know each other all there life’s and due to certain events that happen when they were in college they grew apart. but now Hunter is determined to win Aurora over and finally make her his but Will Aurora see what has been in front of her eyes for years Hunter. And boy Hunter definitely has game. I loved there story there were a few twist and turns and lots of emotions and coming to terms with past events that affected three best friends friendships and how they all dealt with it differently. now I definitely wasn’t expecting the cliffhanger at end and I can’t to find out what happens in the next book with aurora Hunter and Stan I absolutely love Serena Akeroyd books she never disappointed you with the stories and I would definitely recommend you read this series started with The Don and the lady you are always kept on the edge of your seat with and it will be an emotional rollercoaster you will laugh you’ll cry and you will just absolutely fall in love with the Valentini family’s

I have absolutely loved, listening to these to narrators, bring to life the characters of Hunter and Aurora and you can relax and listen to the to narrators bringing the book to life. First of all, wow. I did not expect the unusual dynamic we have between these two main characters. Our heroine here didn't care for the hero at all initially... actually for the most part of the book. Well, not until they realized they were sexy pen-pal buddies with each other for quite some time.
It's a little sad to see the unrequited love Hunter (the hero) has over Aurora (the heroine) and how she never even entertained his flirtings or kind gestures over the years they know each other. Which btw, I didn't read the whole interconnected other series in order, so I have no idea if they were even a big part of those books or the history behind their previous relationship with each other. So yeah. It was definitely different in comparison to other books I've read.
Aurora was something else. She's a tough woman, a workaholic, and driven. But underneath all that, she was hurting and for lack of better words, haunted by something. She always feels ashamed of her kink and feels unaccepted sexually. Added to the trauma of her past, who can blame her when she acted like a bitch sometimes.
And Hunter. Oh Hunter. He's such a good guy that was handed the wrong life and the responsibilities that went with it. Again, a different type of archetype of romance heroes that I usually find in my books.
All in all, it's different compared to my usual reads and I did enjoy reading it a lot.

It's official...I need Hunter in my life! The level of commitment that he dedicated to Aurora just flat out blew my mind. We've seen him in previous books and all we saw him as was the fun family friend. Let me tell you..Hunter as the new Don/Dom in town....MIND BLOWN! I could listen to him on repeat and never get enough! He just oozes sexiness and his brand of sterness. Ugh, I just cannot get enough!

Serena Akeroyd brings us another steamy, complex, emotional entry to her Five Point's Extended Universe. This title is Book 3 in the Valentini Family and Book 1 in the Revelation duet. Aurora Valentini is her brother Luciu's Consigliere and is also lawyer and a bad *ss lady boss. But she has a secret.
Hunter is the new Don of the Camorra and he has been obsessed with Rory since they were kids. She has kept him at a distance but he is determined to get her as his own. To get her to see him as end game. But when he catches her in an embarrassing situation, she shuns him and stays away to hide her shame. But he isn't giving up.
What we see unfold in the first half of this book, is the lengths he was/is willing to go to prove that to her. I really loved seeing his plans coming to fruition and watching them get closer and closer to each other. (Honestly a little too long in my opinion.)
As always the passion, bedroom play, and steam is on point in this story. Serena Akeroyd knows how to make it emotional and keep you from looking away. If you have been along for the ride up to this point, I think you will enjoy what we see here. Hunter was very swoony and Rory was very broken and the comfort they begin to find with each other is beautiful. But we have a whole book to go..
The downsides for me were a few things. We are fully past a point where you can just jump into this story anywhere you want. None of these books are standalones or have good entry points to the series. Which is okay, I want to see how this world wraps up. However, there is still so much backtracking and revisiting certain things, it feels like we are treading water and never swimming onward.
Also, there was too much politics in this one for me. Not just mob/mafia politics, but other jabs at real world things too. It just always throws me out of a romance when those things pop up in my fictional worlds I read. (I know this is personal, but I still have to mention it.)
Overall, the writing and romance is still always this author's strong point and I feel very compelled to read the next installment.

Serena’s story telling amazes me every time & with every book she just makes me fall deeper and deeper in love with her heroes, the worlds that she created, & her words.
Hunter and Aurora came in STRONG. I didn’t know what to expect with their story, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book was infinity stars for me. An hour and a half into reading it I checked how far I was and I was already 40% in. That is how easily I was sucked into this book.
Hunter has loved Aurora his whole life and the way he is with her had me kicking my feet in the air while reading. Hunter is everything you want in a book boyfriend and I absolutely love and adore how he never once shamed Aurora for her tastes instead tells her to embrace them and makes her feel normal. Aurora is strong, smart, and so grumpy I love it. When her walls come down with Hunter and she allows herself to be taken cared of and loved, ooooh I loved it.
Last thing, can we talk about Hunter’s after care!? I love him and I’m obsessed.
If I could recommend anyone a book to read by Serena, it would be this one.

Is there an option for more than 5 stars? Because this book deserves it! It was so fantastic, there are no words. I can’t recommend this book enough. I think that Hunter and Aurora are my new favorites! They are absolute fire together. This book helps you understand Aurora more and really start to like her. I already liked Hunter in previous books. Lol. That ending, seriously?? When is the next book?

This book has everything you could want in it from this author!! I was genuinely gutted when I finished! Definite book hang over! 100% looking forward to part 2!! I already know it will be worth the wait! Hunter and Rory have a lot of work to do for both the fractions and to make sure they can be together!! There are things from Aurora’s past that plague her and put distance between the two of them. But Hunter doesn’t let that stop him, he does everything to show her he fully accepts her and her needs. That she is beautiful and to never feel ashamed of herself. But will Aurora let him break down the barriers she hides behind?

Well. Having read this book before listening to it, I honestly did not think it could get any more steamy. Joe Arden came in and smashed my high expectations for Hunter. The best way to describe it is, you can just tell he enjoyed voicing this character. Of course, the accents were superb as always. I LOVED that they did dual narration for text chats instead of one voice saying “Him. Her. Him. Her” over and over, we got to HEAR the different voices and I loved that. Oh and the thing about this version being more steamy? “Dom Joe” made me have to hit pause several times. As in, I was weak in the knees and had to sit down. Just. Wow. Of course, let’s not forget the incomparable CJ Bloom, who was born to read for Aurora! So sassy! (IYKYK 😉)
Excuse me while I catch my breath from that ending…and those cliffhangers!!!

She is strong, no-nonsense, brilliant, and the rock that helps her brothers succeed. Unfortunately, she is not only dealing with the misogyny that comes with working with mafia men, but also her own, far more personal, issues. Both of which are holding her back from the leader she can be, and from romantic happiness (as much as she says she doesn’t believe in the latter).
Hunter and Aurora have been friends since they were children, but Hunter’s feelings for Aurora have been more than friendly since he was a young teen. Unfortunately, she never reciprocated, and he never made his feelings overtly known (although anyone who knows them knows how he truly feels). Now in their mid-30s, with lots of history between them, our hero has declared it is finally time for him to claim his woman. He has just stepped in as the Don of the Camorra on the West Coast and is finished with the emotional distance she has forced between them. But will she recognize that he is who she was meant to be with in the end? Or will her secrets and shame continue to keep them apart?
The BDSM aspects of this story were well done, with Hunter exploring the lifestyle only after realizing that was what Aurora was into. He made a study of becoming a Dominant, learning his particular style and what he wanted out of that sort of relationship. Hunter didn’t stay in the lifestyle only for Aurora; his own desires were awakened by this exploration. I loved the interesting sort of “You’ve Got Mail” twist that revealed their true selves to each other, free from the “Hunter and Aurora” constraints that had been there all their lives.
If you haven’t read the crossover series up til now, it isn’t necessary (even though it is HIGHLY recommended!), as previous plot points are succinctly explained and shown through Hunter and Aurora’s perspectives. Just be ready to get sucked in and want to go back to learn more about the brilliant world the author has created! If you, like me, are caught up in the reading order, this book does not feel repetitive; it’s a way of seeing Hunter and Aurora’s points of view as events take place and a great character development device. As the final chapters unfold, we are treated to the beautiful dynamic building between our couple, but then torn apart by surprising twists culminating in cliffhangers that leave us wondering how they will come back in part 2 for their happily ever after…

I can say a lot about Consigliere. A lot. But alas, they would all be spoilers, and though some readers might love the spoilers I cannot abide being the one giving them out. That said…
This book is the third book of a series that is set in a whole world of wreck and ruin for the bad guys who are not who you’d think. If you haven’t read any of the previous books, turn around and read them first to keep up with the larger story arc*.
In the front and center are the great-grandson of the Don of the Camorra (a subset of the Sicilian mafia, not the Napolitano mafia you’d find in a search engine) which oversees the west coast of the USA and the consigliere of the Sicilian mafia of the East Coast. Best friends since kindergarten (4-6 years old for Intl readers), their friendship took a turn 20 years ago and another turn is now at hand. Their loved ones are rooting for them to get their heads out of their posteriors yet love them enough to work it out on their own with little nudges of course. They’ve allowed life to skew their love off course, but finally have the cards aligned. Spicy, read the intro to ensure you’re up to this level of spice.

The female main character from Filthy mentions to one of her friend’s that she’s reading a specific romance book which I was pleased to learn that Serena wrote in real life which ends up being the first book of the Quintessence series. The Quintessence world opens up into the Veronia series and a second-generation series. Serena also plans to add a Bratva series in the future to which all of her fans are looking forward. Then there’s a crossover with Cassandra Robbins’ Disciples series which I’m looking forward to as well as Filthy Feck the latest and most anticipated Filthy Fecker story to date.
This book is the third book of a series that is set in a whole world of wreck and ruin for the bad guys who are not who you’d think. If you haven’t read any of the previous books, turn around and read them first to keep up with the larger story arc*.
In the front and center are the great-grandson of the Don of the Camorra (a subset of the Sicilian mafia, not the Napolitano mafia you’d find in a search engine) which oversees the west coast of the USA and the consigliere of the Sicilian mafia of the East Coast. Best friends since kindergarten (4-6 years old for Intl readers), their friendship took a turn 20 years ago and another turn is now at hand. Their loved ones are rooting for them to get their heads out of their posteriors yet love them enough to work it out on their own with little nudges of course. They’ve allowed life to skew their love off course, but finally have the cards aligned. Spicy, read the intro to ensure you’re up to this level of spice.

Holy WOW! This is Aurora’s and Hunter’s story and it is intense, non stop action wrapped around a fabulous story and amazing characters.
This couple is meant to be, fated, and oh so mesmerizing to read and watch the turn of events unfold.
The Consigliere is a captivating story that kept me glued to the pages. The Cosa Nostra and the Camorra are interconnected through their childhood and the secrets are unfolding with regards to Hunter’s family and Aurora’s position in her family.
Serena has given the world another exceptional story and it touches on other worlds that she has blessed us with, combining the many facets of her incredible mind!

Wow! Holy shit guys. This book wasn’t action packed by any sense but emotionally packed? Immensely. This is the first book in the duet that follows Rory, the sister of Luc from the first duet in this series. We also have Hunter who is her childhood best friend/sweetheart but this is anything but a second chance romance. The plot twist happens immediately in the book then plunges you back in time so you can see what has happened between them up until this point. It’s like watching a train wreck because as the reader we know what’s going to happen but we can’t look away. Once we’re back in the present, we’re jumping for joy that this worked out just to be left on a cliff hanger! Thank god they will be released close together because I have to know what happens.

Every time I read a Serena book I always claim it as my favorite buttttttt this book I think tops all of them. hunter stole me away from all my book boyfriend and I am not even sad about (well except for Maverick, he is still my number one)
This book is full of so many juicy scenes that I might have highlighted the whole book on my kindle 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Hunter finally gets the woman he has always loved and he will do anything to make sure she stays in his life. Aurora has always been ashamed of her desires and cravings.
I loved this book so much and I regret that I read it to fast. As all of this authors book. This will go on my reread pile.

I never thought that I would find myself attached to a book character but Hunter has found his way into my heart. Rory, is something else. No one really expects things to heat up with everyone in the story. However its finally time for these characters to act on their past. Perfectly flawless as always for this author. Her books are my go to's when I want fun and love and all that other stuff in one book.

Annnndddd Serena once again deliveries a fantastic 5 star book! Hunter and Aurora will lite up your kindle! They grew up together but grew apart. Hunter has taken over the family business but wants her for his Queen. Twists, turns, secrets...who is the enemy? THAT ENDING! Thank you Serena for another fabulous read!

After recently reading the first Duet in this series I was already thirsty for more from the Valentini's and this did quench just the edge off that want because I definitely need book 2 as soon as I can get grubby hands on it. It'll be worth however long I need to wait for it because isn't almost everything from this author? I can't wait to see how Rory and Hunter merge their very hectic life's together. 4.5 stars. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Holy moly!
This was just what the doctor orderd! Omg. I don't know what to say, I'm speechless. This book was perfection, as good as all of Serenas other books, if not better. The chemestry, plot, storyline and buildup. Everything was so good!
