Imagine having to live without the love of your life. For some, it’s impossible to imagine but for the rest of us, it’s a bitter reality...

After falling head over heels and sharing a whirlwind affair that started on the beaches of Majorca, Shazan Hanover and Gwendolyn Spencer thought they'd spend the rest of their lives together. Nearly ten years later, they find themselves living separate lives and half a world apart. Shazan's a big shot lawyer protecting London's defenseless. Gwen fills her days as a successful romance writer bringing love to the masses. Love she herself lives without. From the outside, they're successful and have it all. Inside, their lives are as empty and meaningless.

One late night walk and one friend who believes in the power of fate changes all that. Suddenly, Gwen and Shazan are back where it all started. Back in each other's orbit and unable to deny that there is still something there between them. Is this their second chance at happiness? Can they rekindle the burning passion of love, or have the embers all died out?

The Unbreakable Thread is a standalone contemporary romance filled with lost loves, soulmates, and the power of what is meant to be will always find away. The Unbreakable Thread ends with a HEA and addresses elements of cheating not directly involving the main characters. Some themes addressed may be sensitive to others and can be considered triggers. Please read with caution.

"The Unbreakable Thread" is my first Becca Baldwin book. I was drawn to East Asian lore around it and was curious to read a story centred around this thread. Becca words are almost poetic as she presents three reflective, mature and far from perfect characters who find themselves at different crossroads in their lives. They are all connected by an event that took place ten years ago. Henry is the best friend one wishes to have, the persistent romantic who never gives up. Gwen is a strong, self-sufficient woman who is overprotective of her loved ones. Shazan is lost and exists within dilapidated constructs of his cumulative choices. Lady Fate offers a second chance, and each embraces it in their unique way. There were times where I found the text to be a bit repetitive, and having characters not worry about their financial situations can be a little too imaginative. However, this does not wane from the central message. There is something beautiful of an inseverable bond that stands through the test of time; the beauty and strength of love. The ending brought a smile to my face! A 4.5 star read all the way!

The love story between Gwen and Shazan begins in Malllorca and for a few months this couple lives happily, but one day Gwen disappears without saying a word, leaving Shazan in a deep state of depression.
His best friend Henry sees how his friend watches life go by without enjoying it, living with a parasite called Prima who is only interested in money, until he decides to do something.
Henry is a hopeless romantic and believes in soul mates, that's why he decides to look for Gwen and with the help of Madame Fate he gets Gwen and Shazan to meet again in Mallorca.
Very very romantic story. I loved it from start to finish, the characters, how the story evolves, everything.
Highly recommended.

The Unbreakable Thread is a second chance love story, well-written, with some humor and some steamy parts. The plot is one that has been overly used as it explores romance, bad decisions, sickness, and choosing a bad company just not to be alone. The story is easy to read, the characters are relatable, and is entertaining.

This is a very emotional book. Shazan and Gwen are very indecisive about their relationship and a lot of emotional turmoil ensues. Henry tries to mediate but he can only do so much.

I liked this book though some parts I wasn’t fond of which lessened my enjoyment. I liked the turmoil as it engaged my emotions.

I rate this book 3.5 stars.

I really loved Becca Baldwin's A Girl Gone Crazy series and was excited to pick this book up. It is quite different than her other books, and is more of almost a storytelling in some ways. Though it was well written, I found it lagging in some parts, and just couldn't get into the whole storyline.

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.
