It’s my first Camaro book, so I can’t compare it to others. But, for me, it’s a good introduction to the vehicle’s evolution through five “generations.” The narrative is interwoven with hundreds of captioned photos, concept drawings, and engineering schematics that represent each model year’s trim lines, packages, and options. Several gray-background sidebars call attention to an item or issue of special interest. Witzenburg makes judicious use of interview data to give the reader a taste of the team collaboration that took place in the vehicle’s development, and to describe the political and/or economic factors that influenced critical decisions.
