Max is a confused teenager whose life is in a downward spiral. His parents are in a loveless marriage, he’s flunking out of school, his girlfriend is constantly upset with him, and several boys want to beat him senseless. He’s also attracted to his best friend, who happens to be a boy, and he can’t grasp the idea of bisexuality. Max’s confusion leads to destructive behavior which will affect him in ghastly ways. Stacy, his twelve-year-old sister, is the only person who believes in him, but he may lose her as well after he accidently shoots her.
