A funny story of a dog who is trying to nap. A mouse playing the piano keeps him awake. He tries trapping the mouse with cheese, jam and peanut butter. The mouse is able to sneak off with each treat without being caught. But also the dog keeps getting distracted. Eventually a compromise is created and Dog is able to nap.

Hilariously funny. Recommended for storytime.

Rhyming words and colorful illustrations tell the story of a grumpy, sleepy dog and a noisy, musical mouse. The dog’s plan to catch the mouse continuously backfires as he keeps getting distracted by what is happening outside the window. A simple story that would work decently well for story time.
