When Zoë Beaufort inherits a cottage in the quaint Somerset village of Honeygrove, she hopes she’ll find the new start she desperately needs.
She doesn’t expect to find the cottage in a sorry state of repair. Or a runaway pig.
And she definitely doesn’t expect to find the delectable Theo .
Kind, gorgeous… and unavailable. Despite the chemistry between them, Zoë knows better than to risk her fresh new start with romantic complications.
Settling in to village life, she can’t believe her luck when she finds herself with the job of her dreams and lovely new friends. But the discovery of an old family photograph leaves her reeling. There’s a mystery surrounding her inheritance and she’s determined to get to the bottom of it.
Will Zoë find the answers she’s looking for? Has she finally found a place to call home? And, as her life unexpectedly entwines with Theo’s, is it possible she might just get a chance at love?

Readers’ Comments “I enjoyed getting to know Zoe (sorry, can´t work out how to put the dots over the e). She´s sweet and fun to follow on her adventure. Theo not so much. Saying that, there was chemistry between them. I liked the mystery of the photograph too. A fun chick-lit novel, perfect for a summer read.” Female reader, aged 51 “Messy in a good way with lots of character drama unfolding along the way. The mystery is cleverly plotted and is the most interesting part of the novel. I wasn´t so sold on the romance with the already taken Theo. All in all, a jolly read, light, relaxing, with a sold ending.” Female reader, aged 38 “The bright, colourful cover sums up the novel well. I enjoyed the setting, the photo mystery and (not so much) the romance with Theo – who´s sort of bugging. That part wasn´t so good. I loved the opening with the runaway pig – set up the story well.” Female reader, aged 29 “The author keeps the pacing going with plenty of chirpy dialogue. This is the sort of book my husband would hate and I often love. Liked the cottage although I wouldn´t want to sort it out! A good mix of romance and mystery and topped off with lots of drama. Zoë is the most interesting character; I think I´d read another book with her in.” Female reader, aged 41
To Sum It Up: ‘A cleverly plotted mystery with a little romance on top.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
A charming book full of wholesome countryside romance! The story is really compelling and satisfying - I was desperate to find out the mystery about the photographs. I didn't much like Theo but I was absolutely rooting for Zoë to get a happy ending. I'm excited to find out who we get to meet next from Honeygrove Orchard - I'm hoping for a sexy vet!
